Best way to prepare images ProPhoto RGB for the Web?

My working to Edit my RAW files color space is ProPhoto RGB. My master files are saved as ProPhoto RGB 16 bit layered PSD files. I am aware of the many ways to prepare my images for the Web, but it is better to properly view my work on a web site?

«Save for Web...» "of Photoshop is easy, but it's also good work like resize manually,"Convert to Profile"(sRGB), then" save under... ". "an 8-bit JPEG? I noticed "Save for Web...» "its color space designated as"Untagged RGB", while the manual method is"sRGB"will create a file w. Any difference? Thank you.

Were you not satisfied by the answers you got this question on Luminous Landscape forum? I will repost mine here:

You should always incorporate the profile. With the notable exception of Internet Explorer (which seems to be a lost cause), most browsers now manage well of color management. At least Safari and Firefox both do.

Save for Web in Photoshop always band profile with default settings, you will need to check the "embed color profile". This setting sticks. Personally, I think it's well past time to change this default, but that's it.

While you're there, check "Convert to sRGB" and set to "use the embedded profile. This shows you the image with full color management (using the monitor profile to display). Here still SFW uses an obsolete default from the old days, when browsers were not color management.

If you use a range wide screen a few special considerations come in and in Firefox, a manual adjustment has be activated (color management mode 1) *.

Regarding resizing, I have no particular opinion. SFW seems to do well. But you should do a final sharpening after resizing, that needs to be done in Photoshop anyway, so he can probably handle resizing too. Construction while some actions and you are ready.

Firefox users should enable this setting in all cases, regardless of monitor they use. What it does is assign sRGB to any untagged material. This allows full color management chain, instead of just go directly to the screen unmanaged. IOW, even color management on hardware untagged, so long as it is created in sRGB with sRGB numbers.

I'm supposed to create images for the web on their part gives me graphics in PowerPoint For now, I stick to PowerPoint in Photoshop and save it as a .png of 300 dpi, but they are not very clear, so I have to make it large enough to be readable. Does anyone know what I could do to make them better? I'm new to Photoshop and teach myself, so there are probably better ways to do what I do not know. I've linked below for an example of blur that I get in the charts when I use the above method.

PPI is not serious on the web. Browsers think in absolute pixels and take 72 dpi or use the DPI screens as defined in the settings of your operating system. Also to export slides as images using a simple file--> save as, and choose an image as PNG format or create screenshots, not copy & paste. Of course none of this will mean anything, if you resave the than smaller ones. No one can discern anything at these sizes lowercase, regardless of the wiith or without interpoalted pixels "mushing upward.

  • What is the best way to archive images high resolution for cloud storage?

I have a library of 100 gigabytes. Is it possible to retain the vignettes catalog and image on my computer, but archive images high resolution for cloud storage somewhere in order to save space on my hard drive? If so, is it possible that Lightroom can automatically recover if they are needed, IE. If I want to print or export the image?

Lightroom does not really work with images cloud storage.

If you want to archive the images in the cloud, you will need to do this manually and get the images manually. (Which means there are plenty of chances to make a mistake, and so I do not recommend this unless you are sure to 100%, you know what you're doing in both the fine mist of things and with Lightroom)

Or you could buy an external HD, which are relatively expensive and move the photos here.

  • Complex script to automate the Conversion of Images high resolution for the Web

I use Actions in Photoshop (currently using CS4) all the time, but have never tapped into the scripting features, so please forgive me if these questions are obvious.

The basic description of my project is simply creating web images in jpg format, among our library of high-resolution print images.

We have a folder with a copy of all the images we need to convert. File types from TIF, PSD, EPS, and JPG.

    The challenges (for me) are:

    1. these images vary in orientation to be big or wide; I need the higher between dimensions, whether the height or the width, 400 pixels; and then I need to canvas has added to the other dimension to make the picture a perfect square of 400 x 400. I don't know how, or if I can, do PS choose the bigger dimensions, to 400 px.

    2. some of these images have clipping paths; I need to use these roads to clear the background in the pictures; the names of these masks are not the same in each image.

Thus, the basic flow of the script would open the file; Set the maximum size to 400 px; Add a blank canvas to fill the other dimension and that also make 400px; use an image clipping path if it has one to erase the background of the image. Save for web in jpg format, adding "-400" at the end of the name of the file (but before the '.jpg'); size 115 value and save for web, by adding '-115' to the name. value size 80 and save for web, by adding '-80' to the name.

A new version has been downloaded more than PS - Scripts Sean this now creates a record of each file selected with the name of "JPEG" and there the possibility to include subfolders.

  • What is the best way to prepare a PS file for use in InDesign

Someone at - it a ultimate list of best practices that relate to what should be done with a PS file that is intended for use in InDesign and then for offset printing? Top of page question I have, is whether or not I should reduce to about the size that it will serve to (for now the PS files are much, much larger that they should do). But I wonder also how many things I have not even thought about it yet.

In addition to sharpness, you will need to ensure accurate COLOR. (CMYK) - If you already have a proven workflow, then you already have a decent oven CMYK, so you will be happy with the final printed result. If not, then ask your printer (or whoever's doing the plates) to make tests loose specific colors of CMYK images. This can save you various kinds of nightmares later.

  • What is the best export for the web?

What is considered the best export from Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 for the web these days? I know that PNG has the color a bit better than JPEG files. How about SVG?

    What is your recommendation?

    Thank you

For modern websites of today, vectors are now better saved in SVG. As long as you use the last CC 2015, use file > export to create the SVG (which is newer than the file > save under). It will yield a smaller SVG files.

Better, photos are saved in JPEG format.

PNG are not "keep color" better. The JPEG and PNG24 support millions of colors, but a JPEG will be able to compress photographic details better, if you end up with a file of faster loading.

For HTML Email SVG is not appropriate, so I use PNG or GIF instead (whichever is smaller) to the line drawings in general I want to save it as SVG.

  • What is the best way to keep the high resolution when recording "for the web".

the files that I save to the web so I can get them in jpg (or gif) are coming very pixelated.  That's when I print the image.

What is the best way to save for the web, an image and keep the good resolution.

using a business card template.  template Avery will allow me to attach images I want to project.  to do this...  I 'get file computer' and it deletes the image in but real little... then you are supposed to expand on your work as you want.  Well, when I enlarge this image file, it gets pixelated bad.  I think it's the way that I am saving it.  I do not adjust anything when I save.  Maybe I should.  This is where I need advice.

That's what avery model notes on the images, I am allowed to use - when downloading the image, the maximum allowed size is 4 MB.  You can download the JPG and PNG RGB or CMYK images.  so when you recommend things, can you please take this into account

    Thanks for oyur times.

    Aida,.

When you register with the default template using save for web, it's usually a setting very low.

While in the registration window, you can set the size in pixels of the image you want with the quality and the resolution too.

Refer to video tv.adobe.com save for web or Adobe Help file for detailed instructions.

  • Best app for the batch processing of photos for the web?

I would like to know what is the best application for batch processing photos for the web quickly and easily. I'm a web editor and often need to resize, compress, or crop several photos and would like a quick way to configure the basic parameters and processes for example 20 pictures at once. Basically, I'm looking for something with the ability to FastStone Photo Resizer (I'm on a Mac and cannot use FastStone). I remember an once suggested graphic designer LightRoom - would that be a good idea or Adobe has something else? Or maybe not Adobe at all?

PhotoShop seems heavy for this purpose: it is ideal to make the photo woth that much at the time, but less large to do less with many pictures at once. I know that I can implement some sort of macro-thingie, but I would like to be able to quickly change settings such as the percentage of compression or the width in pixels.

I don't need a lot of editing tools, mostly just work in pixels, resizing, compression or cropping and save for the web in .jpg and .png - and Mac.

I hope someone here can guide me in the right direction.

  • How do I place what the images are RGB using the separations preview?

2 questions: 1. how to spot what the images are RGB using the separations preview? 2. is there an easy way to convert those to CMYK without opening each to the PS? I've done it before all the time but I'm rusty and don't remember how I did it. I'm on CS6.

One of the many methods to discover, you can:

    (1) you can use the links Panel.  Open the links Panel. Go to the menu of the Control Panel, and then choose Panel Options. In the dialog box Options Panel, under Show column check 'color space '. Now, when you view your links Panel it will show the color space of all related images.

    (2) you can use the preflight and set a preflight profile. In the profile, go to the section color > color spaces and unauthorized Modes and check RGB. Then all RGB images have reported.

    (3) If you need to know before you place the images, use Adobe Bridge. Open the folder where the image. Use the metadata Panel and view the color space of images.

  • Save the offsets of colors by activating / disabling out ProPhoto RGB in the course

I'm working on a portrait with the following specifications

    color space: sRGB

    8-bit/channel

    300 dpi

    TIF

When I do a backup as there is a check mark in the box that says ' ICC profile: ProPhoto RGB.  The printer wants the picture saved as sRGB, so I uncheck the ProPhoto and save without layers.  When I opened the file is saved, he has a terrible gray color to the photo cast.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Paul

Maybe you DON'T THINK that you work in the sRGB color space, because you can be misinterpreted the parameters.

Use the small field of status at the bottom left of your work area to see which profile is actually using the document.

To change the profile of your use of the documents to Edit - convert to profile, set - or - use the file - Save for Web & devices function with the option [] convert to sRGB .

The Camera Raw Converter can be configured to open a document in one of the several color spaces - I think you have your expected to open in the ProPhoto RGB color space.

Moreover, I still normally the following boxes checked in the Photoshop color settings to remind me when I open a document that is not in my favorite sRGB color space.

  • Best way to implement a standard provision in the application

What is the best way to implement a standard provision in the entire application?  For example, I am converting a site HTML/ColdFusion to Flex and I have to keep the look of the current site in the new Flex application.  I need to a standard layout on every screen in the new application with a standard header, footer and the bar left navigation.  Do I need to add this code to each screen in the application, or can I just create the page layout file and challenging each screen?  Thank you!

Take a look at some of the Flex samples.

Archive messages or move them to some other local mailboxes or mailboxes on the server. Don't know what you are trying to do because it appears that you have 2/3 of your hard disk.

Why do you think archiving emails in 2 places? Where are you trying to save space to?

Yes, you can remove the file from the imported image, if you have imported the image as managed.  IE preferences in ave Photos settled on "import: copy items to the photo library" being the default.
