  This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

  Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

  But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

  PNG does not support masks. However, the program that you use to display the png can allow you to change the background color.

  Another option is to create a duplicate png image that has a colored background. You can add the color name to make sure that you don't overwrite the original.

  You realize that what you do is a generational loss.  Compression of the images already well compressed!... as well as many other works that used saw the final cut.

  I then save the file to the Web, and devices such as a PNG-24 or PNG - 8 (gray scale, no dithering) but no matter how I save the information file indicates always that the 'color space' of the file is of type RGB. I can't save the file with a space color: gray.

  I'm doing something wrong, but what?

  Have you tried using Photoshop to re-register as grayscale, or maybe something like GraphicConverter?

  You cannot save a single worksheet in Excel. At least not in Excel 2007 I.

  Just try to do it manually and see what that who gets you.

  If you mean, you want to save a file *.xls in *.txt format, you must do a SaveAs.

  I'm not to good course how I came across a box that was checked off in the saving options, but whenever I save files eps, Illustrator will also save another backup file with-'01 "after the name of the file and before the extension".eps". In addition, every time I have save the document (as opposed to "save under") a dialog box appears asking me if I want to replace the existing file. Of course, I do.

  My question is: How can I turn this off?

  NOTE: as far as I know, this problem of mine is only limited to the .eps files, or more precisely, it doesn't happen during the recording of .ai files.
