BGP path selection

Hello

in my bgp table, I have two paths to the defaultroute:

Paths: (2 available, excellent #2, table vkb)

Not announced in any position

Why is the way to selected 172.16.24.1 even if the igp metric to 172.16.24.2 is 98 and 172.16.24.1 is 99!

so the way to 172.16.24.2 is better (98).

I am a redistribution of eigrp to the mpls backbone

thx for the answer

Hello

MED for the preferred route is lower than the other. MED is regarded as to the cost of the IGP for the advertising router.

  • Question about BGP best path selection (LOCAL)

    Hi Sir,

Out of BGP table which I stumbled upon a book is attached. There is a prefix of the table with two paths.

I noticed that the LOCAL_PREF attribute is not displayed for the routes recorded via eBGP. My understanding of LOCAL_PREF is that it is configured locally on the router and only exchanged within the same as with the other speakers.

Someone can say, what criteria does BGP uses to select the best path for prefix 172.18.0.0? He chooses the iBGP route (jump according to 172.30.255.150). In my opinion, it uses the LOCAL_PREF attribute.

I read that the 'Best BGP' document path selection algorithm this path without LOCAL_PREF is considered as having the value set with the command 'default local-preference bgp' or 100 by default. So in my case, BGP compares 300 LOCAL_PREF (via 172.30.255.150) against 100 LOCAL_PREF (via 10.100.83.1).

Please correct me if I got a bad concept.

    Thank you.

    B.Rgds,

    Lim TS

You are right. The internal path (local-pref 300) wins over the external path (local-pref 100) due to its higher local preference.

    Hope this helps,

  • Having trouble getting the correct strategy of the ESXi 5.1 Compellent Lun path selection

Here's the FCoE connections to a Compellent table. I was looking for in fact as expected on some new 5.1 ESXi hosts. I changed the default home setting "esxcli storage set - default-psp VMW_PSP_RR - ATAS VMW_SATP_DEFAULT_AA ATAS nmp. The LUN showed 2 paths, Type of storage array showed VMW_SATP_DEFAULT_AA and path selection has been set for the Round Robin.

I finished rebuilding my hosts with ESXi 5.1 update 1 and made the same change but now the LUN show as VMW_SATP_LOCAL and fixed and I can see only one way? I do not understand why it reacts differently now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I found the problem. I had to add a rule esxcli storage nmp ATAS FCoE add - transport fcoe - ATAS VMW_SATP_DEFAULT_AA - description 'Fibre Channel over Ethernet devices' I forgot to note that I did it on the first generation and completely forgotten. Once I added this to the existing a new LUN all show type and path of the storage of table selection.

  • PSCC2015 - path selection encompassing.

    Hi all

Recently, I became a creative user of clouds and thought that I would pass my experience using different Adobe products that I never had the chance to use. I followed a tutorial using a slightly older version of Photoshop. Although I have come across some differences, I managed to find the tools and the properties of follow along so far.

After you create a shape with the pen tool, then the Point conversion tool I need now form I created nationally. Using the path Selection tool and selecting an option to display the bounding box.

Could someone tell me where is this option? I use the Essentials workspace.

    Thank you.

Make sure that all the control points are selected or none of them are, otherwise you could end up scaling just a part of the form. Press CTRL/cmd-T to bring up the transform box. Hold down the SHIFT key to keep the proportions.

  • The path selected with the pencil tool editing... CS5 vs CC

I know this is an old issue and I've complained about this over and over. In CS5 I can select several paths and then, using the pencil tool, freely change paths without losing the multi-path selection. It is a great way to tweak a form of paint. CC (2014), it is no longer possible (at least on Mac). Technical support Adobe told me once he was a Bug "Mac admits. Can someone tell me if this feature was "set in CC 2015? Unfortunately, Adobe doesn't bother to fix bugs in the 'old' version They drive just a new version.

This small function is of the main reasons that I refuse to CS5 to let die on my computer. If this is fixed, I would consider 'redeveloped' to 2015 CC.

Here is an old video explaining the problem:

Not been resolved in CC2015 (although I can't see the video, I have to sign).

As soon as you change a selected path, others get deselected.

  • Modification of path selection?

I recently updated my hosts of ESXi 3.5 u4 to ESXi 4.0 u1.  I have fiberglass attached EMC Clariion and DMX storage.  I would change all my path selection 'most recently Used (VMware)' and 'Robin (VMware) tour.

Is this possible with a powercli script?

The following oneliner gives you the policy of multiple paths for all the LUNS connected to the host:

  • Help! Path selection tool does not.

Earlier today my path selection tool worked great. I could add the vectors and move. Now, everything he does is moving the

whole shape rather than the selected vector. I tried to restart the program, different projects and I even tried restarting the PC all together. Still works the same. I don't know what happened or how to fix it. I really want to push a project before 5 pm CST I would be very grateful if anyone knew how to solve this problem.

Ctrl-click on a point, then you can move it.  This is because it switches to the Direct Selection tool.

In my view, change the easier path with the pen tools myself, but to each his own.

  • Can not do a path selection

I have a problem and have not been able to determine exactly what happened or how to fix it.  I was given a large amount of photographed products which should have already fallen on white background, but, of course, a number of them was not. The images in question have paths... that should make it easier, but I've never seen paths quite like this before.  They seem to be just contours.

    path.jpg

I can't make a selection of these paths.  Other than creating a plan, I have not found a use for these at all.  I have not found anything to indicate that the original worker made on these or how I need to work with them to make them useful.  So far, I had to create new paths and just delete these... but I have a ton of these left and I'd appreciate any help.

If it helps, this is what the drop-down menu looks like when the path is selected.

    dropdown.jpg

It is because this path was selected, the selected parts are white and you don't have any white in there. Download the path Selection tool, select the vectors inside your way and use these buttons to the Options http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop/11.0/WSfd1234e1c4b69f30ea53e41001031ab64-7395a.html bar so he could look like this:

  • change the path of the fixed path selection strategy to round robin

    two questions

    1. is it safe to change the strategy of selection of the fixed path to round robin with the servers in the data store (round robin done work in our environment)

2 can "lost access to the volume" messages be caused by too many servers using the same path of data warehouses. Many of the servers here use a couple of paths on a fixed track, instead of all four paths on round robin. I was wondering if the lost volume messages access were caused due to heavy traffic causing data 'pulse' written in the expiration time.

You can, but first make sure that your table provider supports this configuration.

  • Convention of path selection

I would like to know why Adobe has changed the 'path of load as selection' convention in Adobe photoshop: in previous versions, the selection of load path would choose only inside of the chosen path, but with (possibly CS4), CS5, CS6, CC, it would appear that the selection is made in the region made by outside of the path up to the edges of the canvas.

masking layers was easier with the older convention

Please provide a screenshot with visible tracks Panel.
