BI publisher and interactive report

My shop has recently installed BI publisher (10.1.3) to improve printing report apex v4.
After my initial tests, it seeems the report print report regular sql out of the box. But I can't find a way to print interactive reports with total, County, subtoal... It is possilble to create an interactive report at the apex and appeal of printing that can use the power of the editor of BI? In other words, we are looking for printed materials "you get what you see" but not a cleaning of the screen.

Can you help me? Thank you very much

Munshar

To generate a report of IR in PDF format, you must do so using FOP. I don't think you can use BI Publisher at all if you use an interactive report...

    Hello

    I have 2 groups of users with different levels of security access, so I need to restrict certain data in the interactive report. I want to create 1 report with all data and 1 report that excludes certain documents based on one of the fields. Can I do this using an authentication scheme? Can someone direct me to some good instructions on how to do this? I'm open to other suggestions as well.

    I have another thread on that as well, but I wonder about another method (limitation of access to the records in interactive report), hoping that it will be a little easier.

    Thank you!

    Authentication schemes are used to establish the identity of a user. Common methods to include validating a username and password, call an external mechanism to the SSO or scan of a fingerprint. Authentication schemes are not related to your problem.

    Did you actually means 'permission' rather than 'authentication '? Authorisation schemes determine the actions by controlling access to pages and components of APEX, a user can run. You can use authorization to control if a user sees a report region, but not the lines that are shown in this report (although technically possible, it is generally not the best approach).

    In short: authentication determines the identity of the user. Authorization determines the operations that a user with this identity can perform. Restricted access control these operations can be performed on the data.

    What you need is an access control and DTV and view the methods described in the other thread are solutions to that. Close this message and focus on the other.

  • Mix of traditional and interactive reports fails the process of RESETTING of PAGINATION.

    I have a tab page where I got 3 different reports REPORT_A (classic), REPORT_B (interactive) and REPORT_C (CLASSIC) in alphabetical order. I have a page to reset pagination process that will always draw (without condition) when you visit the page with the tab.

    Reset pagination process that exists in the front scene of the header is set to fire but not to reset the interactive report. It affects the subsequent classic report REPORT_C as well. The REPORT_A would be reset paging very well since it exists before the interactive report. Is this a bug in apex?

    I created an application of demonstration of test with specific steps to reproduce the problem. The steps are on the demo site itself.

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/Apex/f?p=56638
    SUP: testuser
    P: password

    Apex Version: 4.2.4.00.08

    In my real application I wish a dropdownlist control on the page based on which I would like to filter the data. The dropdownlist control will have a corresponding branch of after-submit who will absolutely perfect pagination to reset & RIR. But when we visit Web site by tab the above problem would break the page.

    I tried the solutions like gReport.search ('SEARCH') but that will only set the interactive report, not the classic REPORT_C. It's just a hack anyway.

    Any ideas. ?

  • Export and interactive report totals

    Hi all

    I tried to get the totals on the basis of an interactive report, but the only way I can find is to make it as aggregations and save it as the default report.

    The problem is when users download the report totals are missing, is it possible to have the total number, displayed and downloaded with an interactive report?

    Apex to 3.1

    Thank you

    Graham

    totally different approach would be to add totals to your choice.

    It works for some already very well grouped queries
    Something like

    select e.departmentid, d.name, count(*) emp#, avg(e.salary) sal
    from employees e
    join departments d on d.departmentid = e.departmentid
    group by e.departmentid, d.name

    Displays the number of employees and the salaray average for each Department.
    Now we can add a total row using rollup, or grouping sets

    select e.departmentid,  d.name, count(*) emp#, avg(e.salary) sal
    from employees e
    join departments d on d.departmentid = e.departmentid
    group by grouping sets ((e.departmentid, d.name), ());

  • paging and interactive report

    Hello!

    is it possible to change the default number of lines for paging in an interactive report? the default value is 15 and I need 30 or something like that. in a normal report, it is not a problem!

    THX!

    Bye,.
    Christian

    Hello

    Yes, you can set the value by running the report as a developer. Set the rows to the value that you want to save the report, and then choose Save as default settings. Then, when any user running the report, the values will be that you have saved will be used.

  • The column titles and interactive reports

    I noticed that when you create an interactive report (IR) with a name such as "PEI", when the IR is displayed, it comes out as "Pei". Short change this manually for all names of columns like this, is there a way to prevent the IR to make this 'conversion '. Other columns such as 'DOCUMENT ID' out like 'Document Id'. I really don't want to do this to the column titles, as acronyms that I want to appear as entirely in capital letters.

    Use custom column names... Cape of init is default IR

  • interactive report based on an existing table

    Many people, it is the next step in the construction of my app.  I watched a tutorial of utube produced from a worksheet a table in a database and a set of pages to enter data and to display and edit data in the table.  I already have the table and I would like to make the pages I've seen.  a spreadsheet as a table which allows the edition of each row and a button create on top.  I guess I was also able to delete a line if necessary. I think I need to creata a page, select report and interactive report.  Continues in this way, I get a request for a sql statement that will likely tell the page generator that he needs to create the report.  I need to make the report based on a table in another table space.  At this page, I entered in the query designer and my table space is not listed, only the current APEX of table space is available.  I went in a different direction to create a form for a table and to the bottom of the sequence, he also requested information in the table.  My table db space is listed as available and I am able to create the registration in a satisfactory manner.

    Then, why I can see and interact with my db table space when you create a form for a table but can not find the db table space when you generate an interactive report?

    Also, I'm heading down the correct path for the interactive report, that I need?

    "HustlingHare" alright, get ready to be the hero.  "" "You're almost there. '"

    (1) Firstly, nuke has report page IR that you just created.  You don't need it.

    (2) then go back and run the wizard to create a Page.  Choose 'Form', then 'form on a Table with the report '.  Because your DBUSER1 has privileges discrete objects on the table in the schema DBUSER2, DBUSER2 must appear in the select list of "Table / view owner" in this wizard.

    Follow the steps in the wizard to create the interactive report and form, and you're done!

  • Need help to create a button on a page of interactive report.

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to create radio buttons on a page of interactive report. Here are sql, used for the radio and interactive report button:

    Select apex_item.radiogroup(1,a.key_atm_insp) as "select."
    b.KEY_LOCATION,
    b.NME_INST,
    b.ADR_STREET,

    a.KEY_ATM_INSP
    ATM_VIOLATION a.,
    ATM_BRANCH_INFO_TT b

    Above sql create several lines, but do not create the radio button instead show the text as ' < input type = "radio" name = value "f01" = "29039" / > "on the browser. Here is an example of one of the line that displays o browser.

  • ERR-1777 interactive report on Mac Safari 4

    In interactive reports, the quick search box allows me to search for text that appears in the line. In Firefox and IE (on the PC), I can type the search criteria in the quick search field and press < enter > to have the page then automatically filter the report for my results. In Internet Explorer (IE 7 and 8, at least), I hear of PC Speaker beeps weird after validation <>, but my results invented.

    When I perform this action even on a Mac using Safari 4.0.2 I get the error:
    ERR-1777: Page 1 provided no page to branch to. Please report this error to your application administrator.
    Is this a bug or maybe something has changed in Safari recently because of this problem? I searched 'ERR-1777' and 'Interactive reports' and 'Safari' and I found nothing special in it. Anyone has any ideas on this?

    Shane.

    Hi Shane
    You know that Apex only supports Internet Explorer & Firefox. You use a different browser, you can get weird results.
    It comes to the Application of the Express Installation Guide:

    2.2 browser requirement
    To show or develop applications, Oracle Application Express, browsers Web must support Java Script and HTML 4.0 and CSS 1.0 standards. The following browsers meet these requirements:

  • Dynamic interactive report

    Hello

    I have a requirement to create the financial report of pivot using interactive report. I managed to create a function retutning the dynamic query for the report of pivot as follows:

    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION
    fnc_pivot
    RETURN VARCHAR2 AS
    CURSOR cur_qry IS
    SELECT DISTINCT', SUM (CASE WHEN financial_year = "')
    || financial_year
    || "' ' AS case_st
    (' THEN annual_allocation END) AS
    ||'"'
    || financial_year
    ||'"' AS case_head
    OF finance_table
    ORDER BY case_head;

    l_query VARCHAR2 (32000) DEFAULT NULL;
    BEGIN
    BECAUSE me IN cur_qry
    LOOP
    l_query: = l_query
    || i.case_st
    || i.case_head
    || CHR (10);
    END LOOP;
    l_query: = 'SELECT id.
    || l_query
    |', ' SUM (annual_allocation) AS
    ||'"'
    ||' Total general '
    ||'"'
    ||' OF finance_table '
    ||' GROUP BY id';

    Return (l_query);

    END;

    Which returns the following query:

    SELECT fin._id, SUM (CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' 2007/8 ' THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS "2007/8.
    , SUM (CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' 2008/9 ' THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS '2008/9 '.
    , SUM (CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' 2009/10 ' THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS '2009/10 '.
    , SUM ("CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' 2010/11" THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS "2010/11"
    , SUM (CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' 2011/12 ' THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS '2011/12.
    , SUM (CASE WHEN fin.financial_year = ' years future "THEN fin.annual_allocation END) AS"Future Years ".
    SUM (annual_allocation)
    OF end financial_table
    GROUP BY fin.id

    And these are the results

    Total general 2011 2010 2009 2008 2007 ID/8/9/10/11/12 years to come
    0 121 541 2545 1454 5454 3545454 CHWP01L201
    80000 654534 45654 4545 545 54545 212545 CREP01L201

    So if I create a normal SQL statement (function of PL/SQL returning query) it works beautifully, but as we cannot make the same Interactive report I created an apex_collection based on the above function.

    Here's my problem, because the columns are dynamic can't go and create a report based on ' Select * from apex_collection ' that returns all the 50 columnswhether apex_collection they gave or not. And even if I do "Select c001, c002 c003... Of apex_collection 'headers are' c001, c002... rather than the exercises I need.

    Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there a solution to this problem or should I just wait and hope that the next version of Apex has this feature (and no, Oracle buddies, no sarcasm here, only resignation after day of head breaking with no solution).

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Best regards
    Sophie

    Hi Sophia,

    Take a look on: [http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=27169:4]

    This is a report from pivot for standard and interactive reports and explains how to create report data and generate results.

    As you have seen, the complicated bit is the headers and masking the unused columns. For the version of the IR, the titles are stored in the hidden page items and the column headings are defined as & P5_HEADING1, & P5_HEADING2. etc. The columns are hidden by checking another hidden element which holds a number of columns.

    You may not use directly for your own needs for IR, but if all goes well, it should give you an idea of what you could do.
