  My question is General and related to xp and windows 7 as well.

  Can someone explain to me how to manage permissions for users on the network?  It's easy to do the job when I talk to local users, but I can't find a way to add computers to the dialog box object types. I have only options of theses: built-in security principals, users and groups. In the locations list, I see only my computer and cannot find how to add computers to all networks.

  For Windows XP, it makes a difference if "Simple file sharing" is enabled or disabled.  Simple file sharing is * always * activated if you have Windows XP Home Edition and it is the default setting in XP Pro.  Sharing files Simple enabled, * all * users who are connected to a network on your machine are forced to authenticate on the machine as the 'Guest' user - which means that you have no user authentication in Windows Home or XP Pro without disabling Simple file sharing.  This means that every network user has access only to files to the files which has permissions for the Guest user.

  If you have XP Pro and disable Simple file sharing, then you can ask users to authenticate on your local machine and give everyone access to its own set of file permissions.  If the user connects to a network computer that contains the same user name and password that the user is currently logged on the local computer, the authentication is automatic.

  When I try to reboot the DSO after a reboot of the server, I get

  ERROR: diskgroup DATA was not mounted

  ORA-15032: not all changes made

  ORA-15017: diskgroup 'DATA' cannot be mounted

  ORA-15063: ASM discovered an insufficient number of drives for diskgroup "DATA".

  It seems the permission of disks have changed after the reboot. I guess the spfile is inside the DATA diskgroup because it can not even start ASM. When I create a file with values asm_diskgroup and asm_diskstring pfile and 777 on the drive, I managed to start the ASM.

  * .asm_diskstring = "/ dev / *'"

  And when I read the documentation I see this ' that the owner of the ORACLE binary file has permissions to read/write on the discs"(so do not run required) but the problem is that this test server should have the same parameters as in production. And the production server has brw - r - for the corresponding disk. So my questions are

  Can it be handled somehow in a different way? How can this have been reached production without the same settings I put in test? Is there an other way around for me in test to achieve?

  The network user (who owns the infrastructue grid) belongs to the same group of test and production. Test and production have ASM version 11.2.0.3, but the different operating system.

  Remember that the permissions of the device must be configured so that the owner of the Oracle database or the process has full access to the appropriate device files. It is not enough to only give ASM full authorization for devices files. ASM provides management for volume, but the database has direct access to device files and ASM does not interfere with inputs and outputs. You can set up groups and owner accordingly. If you have a different owner for ASM, you must assign appropriate groups to give full access ASM configuring oracleasm.

  This happens usually when you do not have read permission according to the State of the workflow of the specification. Different permissions can be set up for different status in the Administration of the WFA (WorkFlow).

  In addition, if you use business units as a safety feature (rather than just BU visibility), you might get this message. In this case, you should not be able to see this specification in a search result, though, so if you see in the results of material technical search page, is not a DRINK problem, it's a workflow issue permission to read.

  There is an additional possibility, that is if your team has put in place the extensibility point of SpecVetoHandler, which allows for personalized reading permission checks added. It is a technical extensibility point configured in the config file CustomPluginExtensions.xml.

  But more likely, it's a workflow permissions problem. You should ask your users to s Adminitrator of workflow.

  To find out where the current catalog file, do help > System Info.

  The default locations for photos are under my pictures on Windows 7, compared to photos on Vista.

• Cannot get rid of folders in the catalog when the player no longer exists

  I had previously indicated LR catalog in a folder where it imported all my pictures from the camera and ordered by date. The record was on the F: drive now, I had to restore a backup to a new drive, and there the letter D. It is therefore more F drive in the computer.

  When I opened the catalog, file F and its subfolders have shown with a question mark icon. I have clicked the F, selected "Find missing folder..." "and it has to D. LR immediately found all photos and showed the D and the same folder structure under what I selected the disk end F (/ lightroom and a few selections of files it contains). It's all A - OK, but the F: always displays with question marks, and I can't get rid of it! D: a 'green light' icon, and F the "light." When I select D, the "-" button "Remove this folder" appears, when I select the F, it disappears. When I right click on the element F (or in a subfolder) and select "Delete" from the menu, nothing happens.

  It looks like a bug. Is - this F stay there forever? Should I connect a USB disk, label it F n try to get rid of the thing, or maybe there is a simpler solution?

  

  Try to leave LR, restart your computer and then restarting LR.  In other situations, which caused LR to forget the old drive letter.

  To achieve this scenario, we need to publish the plan to reach twice. Whenever we publish a plan, it will allow you to choose only a single model of assessment.
  
  Our customer has 1,000 employees, each has unique goals that will be not shared between the organisation.when what it's a plan that is also not the same for all employees.
  
  We use the hierarchy position to drive the population of Plan. Say we have 25 hierarchies of position must be chosen during the pubslishing plan, must be published for many times.

  When you create a new plan, you pouvez_ set several assessments in the plan. You are not limited to a single.

  You must ensure that the dates of the tasks in the plkan are correct and do not overlap each other. For example, make sure the first objective defining the period ended before the start of the first assessment task. Then once completed the first assessment task you must reset the goal define the period. This second period will also need to finsih before the start of the second trial period.

  In order to reset the goal define the period, you must re - publish the plan, but should NOT be re-emter taks assessment because they can be defined in the initial version of the plan.

• Reset the permissions for backup on the R &amp; R records?

  My apologies if this has been covered before, I searched a bit and couldn't really find anything that covered.

  I recently did a clean reinstall of my W520 to clear the bloatware. Before to do so I saved a backup through rescue and restore, checked and everything I've wanted supported was everything in order. Reinstalled the operating system without any problem, got my all to date and reinstalled drivers Thinkvantage programs. R & R recognizes the backup of the purge; the problem is that it won't allow me what anyone actually retrieve my Documents/photos/videos files, which contain most of the material, that I wanted to save in the first place. Probably because he thinks that I am a different user, or something - it keeps telling me that "access denied" for these records. I'm already under the computer as the default Administrator since I am the only user and it doesn't seem to be an option to run my disk backup as an administrator. At the very least, is there another way I can Explorer/extract the files from the backup drive?

  I was able to reproduce the problem, which seems to be another bug for the cmdlet New-VIPermission in PowerCLI 4u1 indeed.

  As a workaround, you can call the SetEntityPermissions method directly like that

• Backup permissions for Active Directory users

  Hello

  is it possible (e.g. by vim - cmd), permission settings backup referring users to the AD?

  I have a domain controller which is a failure sometimes briefly and whenever that happens, forget my esxi / loses all permissions for users of the AD, while I again subsequently enter manually.

  Or does anyone have another tip for me, which could help prevent the loss of permission to users of the AD settings?

  I would investigate why your DC is falling, as it seems that causes the initial problems. as far as I know, once permissions have been applied, they should persists, but since your DC is down, I can't really say what is the expected result. You can take a look at newspapers to see if it takes DC are available to keep the roles, etc.

  These permisisons must be stored under etc/vmware/hostd/authorization.xml, so you could technically simply this backup file and restore if necessary. You probably need to restart either process pass or the host so that the changes take effect

• Files are missing from the catalog files

  I have upgreaded to 10 items and when you perform the conversion catalogue many of the records in the new catalogue are missing the files (photos). When I right-click on these files and try to add the files that I can see the missing files, try to transfer but at the end I get this: files or folders selected to import did not contain not all types of supported files or the files are already in this folder "- BUT - files are not in the folder in the catalog. They are in the folder on my computer that I am able to access it easily - they simply do not end up in the respective folders to the catalog. I use Windows XP Pro and all my folders and files are on an external drive and are set in memory when I download pictures from my camera. I don't have this number before - how can I get these files in the folder in the catalog?-j' tried establishing a new catalog and tried to convert it again with the same results - please advise-thanks in advance

  Convert selected your organizer to use 'Thumbnail View' and you should see your photos.  The "location" view folder does not show the photos if they are in the subfolders of the selected folder.

• Change the default permissions for the folders created by the Weblogic process

  We have IPM application running on Weblogic 11 g. It has a java process (Oracle InputAgent calls) which creates files on the Linux server.

  We find that this agent is to create these folders with unique permissions (owner rwe group - r).

  It dose not the group to write or execute permissions.

  Even if the parent folder has read writing performance group, the weblogic process creates with only read access to the group.

  Also, if you create a folder under the same parent using Linux command he created with read, write, execute access to the group.

  We want to know if it is controlled by weblogic config? And is there a way that we can change this default permissions?

  Also, we noticed that - Djava.io.tmpdir location records has also created with the same permissions. So believe this is controlled by the setup of weblogic.

  Please advice.

  There two things that affect it:

  1 umask - this is defined in the script of startWebLogic.sh and if you change it, the files created by weblogic will use the specific permissions in the mask except when sometimes case 2

  2. the java process when you create files or folders specifies the authorization. In this case, there is nothing you can do unless you have the source code to change.

  The first thing to do is to check if somehow the permissions for the drive Seagate or any of its relevant folders/subfolders has changed somehow (an OS update maybe?)
