  Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced. Uncheck: Leave a copy of messages on the server. Then, remove the Pop3uidl.dbx file. You will get the messages once more, but it should be.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

  With OE closed, find the Pop3uidl.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

  I have the problem after update to El Capitan. I keep getting notifications from different sites (including facebook) that I can not stop no matter what I try. Any thoughts on how to stop them? (I even put the guilty site (www.idevice.ro) on/etc/hosts to stop it with no result). I even tried "Do not disturb" in Notifications, also removing any notification in settings > Notifications and nothing works, what is frustrating - I'm honestly sick banners popping up every 10 minutes. Is there something I am doing wrong? Everyone knows about this problem?

  C:\opt\infa\product\10.1.3\dac_1\bifoundation\dac\startclient.bat
  (you don't need to start the server of dac on you computer windows client)

  You must have defined in configuration - "CAD system properties.
  The DAC server for example myhost.local host
  3141 DAC default server port

  Make sure the port 3141 is open on the firewall between your client windows machine and linux server
  (you can test this using telnet myhost.local 3141)

• Can not stop random ads from popping up with audio when I'm on Youtube. Irritating and deleting cookies does not help.

  If you use Outlook Express, then you get the prompt because it's to check an email account and he failed to connect properly.  He will not stop and prompt you unless you press the Cancel button.  Then go to tools | Options and you can set when OE should check for mail and you can exclude an account from the check under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and set the correct credentials there.

  go to "open the Action Center" & click on "stop maintenance" in the menu "maintenance". If you want to change the settings manually then clik on "change settings of maintenance.
