binary overlay

Hi all I'm stuck trying to superimpose a binary image on a gray scale (U8) of the binary image appearing as a color image. This should be done with the gray being acquired at up to 20 fps. I saw another thread along these lines to http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=200&message.id=23473&query.id=2548611#M23473, this method worked when opening an image file. However, when placed in a loop with an acquired image program runs very slowly and overlay white color changes very quickly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ThanksDarren a lot

Hello Scoobydont,

This is a VI that I wrote that will combine details of color with a gray-scale image. This is done by creating two images seprate which held color and grayscale data. I then used the add function to combine the two to give the results that you need.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

  • Saving binary Image with overlay?

    Hello

I'm having some trouble in saving an image with overlay information. I use IMAQ find circles to measure the rays of the holes in a binary image. Hole data is then used with oval Overlay IMAQ, draw on ovals to highlight detected circles. Works very well and the image is displayed as expected in the output of the image on the screen, the palette has the binary value. (See the second image of 3, below)

When I try and save the image in PNG I just get a blank image (black). If I use the overlay IMAQ merge tool, I just get the green circles on the black (see the last picture of 3 below). Is there something I'm missing with pallets/fusion? Any help much appreciated. Snapshot of the (messy) code attached.

The problem is that the binary image is all zeros and ones.  A normal image goes up to 255, so the value 1 appears black.

One solution is to multiply the binary image of 255, which makes the image black and white.

  • IMAQ Overlay oval shown do not

    Hi all

I have a LabVIEW application that I wrote a year ago, and the client wants changed.

In the original app I capture images from a camera and display them to the user.

Due to processing time, I save the images in a binary file, then when the data capture is complete, I re-read and make the association model, calculation of return on investment, edge detection, etc.

During this second phase, once I have defined edges I use "IMAQ Overlay oval VI' to paint the small green ovals on grey scale images to show the edges.

    Everything works well.

Because of the economy, and post processing, the user cannot see how efficient the model match/edge detection works until after the data collection is over.

I added a routine preliminary, before quick data entry, to capture the image in grayscale, to pattern matching, detection of contours and layering.

This is going more slowly than the routine collection of data above, but that is normal in preliminary fashion.

I copied the code I use in section 2 above (reason, set the return on investment, find edges, draw layer), to be used in the preliminary routine.

Everything seems to work, but the oval Overlay IMAQ VI attracts not ovals on the image in grayscale.

I actually called you the same Subvi to clear the overlay, and then draw a number of ovals (passed in an array), use in the second routine 'presentation of data' in the old code.

This old code, continues to operate correctly, drawing small circles, etc.

Any ideas on what I should look at to see why recoveries are not displayed?

    Thank you

    Jeff

    Simple mistakes:

First of all, wire of the image by the acquisition stage, not there.  You want to make sure that he finished the acquisition before starting treatment.

Second, move the connection out Image from the drawing of the oval.  Currently, you're never updating the display after you draw ovals.  The program cannot read your mind.  The current sequence is acquire image, image display, draw ellipses.  For best results, you can snapshot.

Overlays are erased when you acquire a new image.  They do not stay when you process the image.

  • threshold of binary - U16 Image

I have a simple example that I have attached (Vision 2013 but can save previous if necessary) in which I would like to apply binary thresholding to a range of values (minimum--> average) in an image of U16.  This example is from the particle analysis threshold binary example of Vision for the U8 images.  The threshold doesn't seem to be working correctly (to the Red range hilte) and areas outside the beach seem to be getting seuillee as well.  Ultimately, I want to be able to do is actually gray scale (rather than binary) screen image and have the seuillee range display in red in the image of the gray-scale.

    All thoughts.

Have some data here to support my last posts on the issue of the U16 binary threshold where I am threshold between a minimum of zero and one other specific gray value.  Also used the method of superposition for visualization purposes.  The threshold and the overlay show slightly different results.  I'm including two limits in the overlay method, so I would have thought it would exactly match the method of thresholding.

  • IMAQ image with alpha (partial transparency) blending overlay?

I'm using Labview 2014 on Win7. I found examples of image color with binary transparency overlay (A + B = OUT with each output pixel is 100% image A or B of the image), but have found no examples of mixture alpha (partial transparency). For example, a few pixels output are (20% to + 80% B).   I can do it in LabView?

IMAQ ArrayToColorImage VI takes U64 pixels of the image and the clusters of 4 values unsigned 16 bit, interpreted as the red, green, blue, and Alpha planes.  Is there any VI that makes use of the 4th (alpha) plan to make an alpha blending by combining two bitmaps?

IMAQ Overlay Bitmap VI comes with the note "Ce VI does not support alpha blending." Are there any other VI that supports alpha blend?

    Hi jbeale1,

IMAQ does not display transparency. It maintains the alpha channel, but does nothing with him.

If you want to emulate transparency alpha blending manually here is a page on that are:

I hope this clarifies some things.

  • HTML5 video player shows an overlay of white?

So, whenever I am YouTube or other video browser I get a white overlay. I don't know where this problem started and I don't know how to fix it. I reinstalled all my Java, Adobe Flash and Firefox, I still have the issue. Any help or a kind of lead would be great. Thank you

Here is a screenshot of the video how it looks like for me.

I discovered the problem today. A little ridiculous, but make sure everything is updated for your graphics card on if you have Intel. That's all I have to say. Thanks for helping me!

  • I am currently using Firefox version 32.0.3. I have installed "Behind the Overlay" extension. The icon is not displayed in the upper right.

"Behind the Overlay" icon appear correctly at first, but as the browser updates automatically, this extension is not compatible with the latest version of Firefox? A test, I uninstalled this last version of Firefox and installed the version 31.0.0. It made no difference. The icon was still missing. So far I have not found any information about this anomaly online. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. Unfortunately they do not solve my problem. I had "Always use Private Browsing Mode" enabled in the Settings Options/life private/history of the browser. This caused the "Behind the Overlay" icon to disappear. I disabled this setting. Now I'm using the default navigation mode and the icon is now visible.

  • Cannot add a toolbar button in an extension of overlay

Hello, I have a problem, add a button to the main toolbar.

I'm creating an extension of overlay of xul, but for some reason some can't seem to add the button to the toolbar. I am able to install it, but not the button appears.

What I'm trying to do is create a toolbar button, which opens a pop-up window containing an iframe. I need exactly what the user Felipe Silva illustrated in this example:
    http://StackOverflow.com/questions/18506117/create-Mozilla-extension-to-display-a-popup-and-iframe-in-it

The only difference is that the iframe should load a html file comes with the extension and not an external source.

I also want to add the button by default the toolbar, but I need to get the button working first.

You can download a copy of the extension here:
    https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9942366/firebomb.xpi

I know it would be easier if I was using the SDK but button of toolbar requires Firefox 29 which is not stable yet, so I prefer this way to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello andremm, to issues related to the development of extensions, please use the mozilla addons forum - you will get probably a better response there. Thank you!

  • Why Firefox will not save the binary to install iTunes?

The latest version of iTunes (11.1.4) caused problems for many users, and the Council is to uninstall/reinstall iTunes. After you have uninstalled iTunes (and cleared out the folders) I tried to download a new installation.
Firefox asks me if I want to save the file and I click Yes and... nothing happens.

Have read elsewhere that as it is a binary file, Firefox he treats like a mixed content file. However, I don't see any warning about it and there is no option to download it in any case.

Is there a setting that I have to fix or is this a bug?

Finally I had to use IE8 to successfully download the installation program.

I think I found the answer.

If I put my download options for 'Always ask me where to save files', then select desktop, nothing happens.

If I put my download options "save files...". "and then browse to change folder by default on the desktop download, the downloaded files OK.

If it's strange just at the binaries I don't know but it works with iTunes Installer.

As I prefer all downloads to go to the office in any case, using "save files...". "suits me better.

  • My pages in Firefox are expire after 10 minutes, and a gray overlay appears on the entire page. Why this is happening and how I can stop this?

Since upgrading to Firefox 25.0.1 yesterday, my open pages are time after exactly 10 minutes and be covered by a gray overlay. I can't use the page until I update it. It is extremely annoying and does not appear to be caused by an extension or an add-on. Please tell me how to stop this annoying and unpleasant problem!

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
    • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • How can I force a binary 'inconsistent' add-on to load?

My security software, Trend Micro, has three binary modules that it loads in Firefox to further protect. I installed nightly for wasting his time with and found that it has one of the Add - ons is incompatible. Is it possible to force this add-on to work?

I wouldn't try to force extensions with binary components to work with a version of Firefox that they are not specified to work with.

Binary components must always be compiled with the version they that they are compatible with without going through this can cause serious problems.

If you want to use these extensions, then you need to stay with the final version which is taken in charge and to stay away from the nightly developer creates.

Otherwise you must except that these extensions work.

You must, however, always the current version anyway as a backup in case of problems, so you can still use this version for Web sites that you feel uncomfortable with.

  • Play HTML5 video with JavaScript does not hide the overlay dimming video

I googled this problem and found nothing useful and also checked the area of support here and still nothing. I'm creating a webpage with HTML5 video. I made a layer with the video object that is hidden with CSS, until the user clicks on a link. When the user clicks on the link, I use a JavaScript function to display and play the HTML5 video object. Works fine except that Firefox keeps the overlay in place play button while playing my video! If I click on the overlay, the video stops. Then if I click again, the overlay disappears and the video resumes playback.

I realize there are solutions that can be pirated. But it is certainly a bug that the rest overlay in place after the start of the video via a JavaScript command. I hope that this problem finds its way to the right people at Mozilla for resolution.

    Thank you

  • 16.0.2 Firefox when browsing Facebook, the browser stops reponding. (Script: chrome://wrc/content/overlay.js:1677))

When you use Firefox 16.0.2 and browsing Facebook, the browser stops responding and an error message appears saying that the script has stopped working. (Script: chrome://wrc/content/overlay.js:1677))
This only happens on Firefox and Facebook work well when you use Google Chrome. As firefox is my favorite browser that I would get this fixed default problem.

  • Error type: Yahoo.widget.overlay is not a constructor. Only get error in Firefox, and started this morning.

There was an automatic Windows Update this morning. Since then, I get the error message "type: Yahoo.widget.overlay is not a constructor ' when I open certain websites such as ancestry.com. Other sites such as Facebook, do any work. Everything looks garbled when I open the Web site. Other sites seem to be unaffected, although I have not more open. These errors are produced only with Firefox and not IE. IE still works very well.

A friend just to give me a tip that solved this problem. I went to the Options menu, content and unchecked the box that says "enable Java Script". I have no idea why this worked, but it solved the problem and all the Web sites seem to be working again.
