Saving binary Image with overlay?

Hello

I'm having some trouble in saving an image with overlay information. I use IMAQ find circles to measure the rays of the holes in a binary image. Hole data is then used with oval Overlay IMAQ, draw on ovals to highlight detected circles. Works very well and the image is displayed as expected in the output of the image on the screen, the palette has the binary value. (See the second image of 3, below)

When I try and save the image in PNG I just get a blank image (black). If I use the overlay IMAQ merge tool, I just get the green circles on the black (see the last picture of 3 below). Is there something I'm missing with pallets/fusion? Any help much appreciated. Snapshot of the (messy) code attached.

The problem is that the binary image is all zeros and ones.  A normal image goes up to 255, so the value 1 appears black.

One solution is to multiply the binary image of 255, which makes the image black and white.

This approach to layout does not work in flow layout (%).   APDivs are removed from the normal document flow and thus remain absolutely where you positioned them.

Cards images do work either in fluid layouts.  As the picture re-sizes to fit the display window, the hotspot regions are not.

When you create responsive Layouts, review your Mobile implementation objectives first.  Then tablets and desktop computers.  And above all, to keep things simple.

Works of great savings, but even if I combine it with a color of card, always gray sound when recording in png. I would like to know where I can save it in the same color card, as shown during the program run. I appreciate all the help that helps... ^ ^

  • Saving AVI with overlay... slow... no work around?

    Hello

I couldn't find clear answers so I'll just ask here

My application should do the following:

1 - Take a picture of the camera

    2. Add the overlay (overlay consists of dynamic elements)

    3. view image in an external window w/overlay

4 - Save AVI with overlay

The most important thing is that the external window showing the overlay and the picture has a high refresh rate. Here's the code for that: (wow it's pretty huge...) I'm sorry about that.,.)

First of all, it captures an image of the camera. This grab function removes all overlay that was there before (blaeh.). Second, a manifest error is used (Im lazy and did not include errorhandling.. yet), third, every 200ms (the loop runs at 20 ms) dynamic overlay items are updated on my own overlay image. The reason why I use a clean to the overlay image, it is I want to minimize the redefinition of the static elements on the overlay. Fourth - copy the overlay of my image of static overlay to the image captures. Fifth - display the image in an external window. Sixth - set reference IMAQ for a func. overall.

This loop runs perfectly. The reason not to use 'merge the overlay' here is this is going to slow down and mess with the frequency of update...

Second, the loop saves the AVI file:

Firstly - the global Func is red with the ref IMAQ with image captures and layering.

Second - this IMAQ image is duplicated. Why? Well, if the superposition of fusion will merge the original IMAQ image, it would be sort of slow down to the top of the screen external (and who becomes jerky) (betai, beats me why this happends)

Third - the overlay is merged

fourth - the merged overlay is saved.

Now what happends is that this economy is just way to slow down (but doing it like I did, is not mess with the frequency of update of the external screen) and all this has something to do with the overlay of the merger. If I disable merging, everything is fine - but the video doesn't show any recovery.

Here's an example of how the overlay may look like:

Someone at - it no clues how can I further improve this to be faster? My AVI file gets as hectic mega when overlays that merges like the picture above!

    Cheesy Hi,

It seems that your problem is perhaps (cannot tell from the screenshots) that you copy just a reference to your image that you use to enter into that your another loop draws from. The problem there is that you would have a synchronization problem, wherever you use the image in your AVI loop you will change this image even when it is acquired in. A simple change would be to have your Grab acquisition in loop in a local image and copy only in the world. Then you could have your copy loop AVI of this image before proceeding with any treatment. This would ensure that the image is write-only in a loop and read-only in the other, and more to ensure that these access are atomic with respect to the other (given that the copy is blocked images during the operation).

  • How can I import an image with transparent background .png in the Vision Assistant?

    Hello

I am using the Vision Assistant of NOR. Here, I want to overlay one existing image with another. Therefore, I use the overlay Installer where can I import a .png image. If I do, I don't get

the transparent background of the back of the image, even, I was saved with a transparent background. The image is displayed with an orange background.

If I import the same image to any front panel for example, I see the picture on the right path with a transparent background. What I've done wrong? I have attached the image I want to use.

    Thank you

Hello! Don't know how to do this in the Vision Assistant. Try to use the overlay (bitmap) or convert your image into mask. Effect of transparency not supported in the Vision. What you can do in LabVIEW is something like this:

  • How can I move an image with info vision?

    Hello

I'm trying to move an image that has been saved as .png with info vision. This image I would change in x / y pixels. If I do, I get a

blank image back, even I copied all the info of the image in advance.

If I use any other image without info vision that it works without problems so far. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance

The Shift IMAQ function does not read the header information and don't know your reticle.  You can add header information to the image by using the merge feature overlay IMAQ as shown in my picture as an attachment and function Shift IMAQ will actually see these data.

  • Whenever I have download an image with the command "save the image under...". ", it records in a useless file of 168 bits.

As stated, whenever I have download an image with the command "save image under" he recorded in a useless file of 168 bits. This does not happen everytime I have save an image, but more often the not, and I don't have a lot of useless files hang out because of this. Is it possible to re - download each image 168 bits that he should have been downloaded in the first place? Is it possible to ensure that this does not happen?

    Here's what it looks like:
    http://i.imgur.com/yzgwwgC.gif?1

This means that you are not allowed to do this action.
The site could use a transparent overlay image to protect the actual image or otherwise has put in place a protection.
You can check if see you the image in "tools > Page Info > Media ' and save it.

  • Detection of edge in the binary image

    Hello

I have an image that I play with Vision Assistant. I used the threshold function for binarise, and I have now two blobs straightish separate in the right corner below. I want to be able to detect the outer edges of this pair of bloba, but can't seem to do it using the edge detector or Straight Edge tools.

    Can you help me please?

    Thank you!

    Dave

Most of the failure of a difference of 20 or more edge edge detection routines.  Since it is a binary image, the difference to the edge is 1.  You can set the contrast of the min on 1 edge detection routines, or multiply your binary image of 255 to get the high contrast edges.  I like the multiplication because it is quick and easy.

  • Binary read with one of the many possible definitions - or - how ot loop over different groups?

    Hi all

I have a group of different data types that I save as a binary file and read it again at a later date with an another VI. I saved the definiton of cluster with a typedef, so I am sure that I use the same type of reading and writing.

Now, I needed to change the cluster in the writing program should include another value. However, I still want to be able to use the VI of reading to read the old and new data files. I also have the opportunity to change the definition of binary file in the future (in VI writing) and be able to quickly adapt the VI to read the new definition while maintaining compatibility with the old.

My plan was to have a typedef of the pole for each revision, say v1.ctl, v2.ctl, v3.ctl...

Suppose I have a binary input file that has been saved using one of these typedefs but I don't know which. I now open the file and try to read its binary contents with each of my typedefs for data type and to stop once the reading of the binary VI gives no error. Then I would translate this cluster to the definition of cluster current version by wiring through existing values and assigning values of model / default for variables that are not on the binary file.

My idea on how this could work is described here, with three versions of filetype:

For each new version of filetype I would need a new business structure although the content of the business structures is almost identical.

Because I save the file type definition version in my files, I could even simplify and use a separate case structure to update the data and fill in the dummy data:

Now the error structures are completely identical, only their inputs differ by type. How can I work around this? How can I loop over the typedefs from different cluster effectively?

    I use LabView 2012 SP1.

Since you already have a version of the cluster, just read this byte digital itself and then use a case structure date back to before the version and read the entire cluster based on whatever the version of the type definition read you.

  • Binary image

How can I create image with only binary numbers?

    Hi itsram4uth,

This can be done using a text-to-Image Converter. Here is a link to an excellent, I have used before: http://www.text-image.com/convert/

It's very simple, you simply upload your image, select the number of characters you want to include (in your case for binary, you can type 01 or 0-). You can also select color or black and white. Finally, click on convert and you're all set. You can copy and beyond the image created.

An example, I just did turned out something like this:

    I hope that helps!
