BIOS for Pavilion a1767c Vista 32 bit

I was updating my Bios when we lost the power.  Now I get error of starting block followed by a BIOS Checksum error.  I tried reseting the CMOS and passwords BIOS but no luck.

I have problems flashing my BIOS using the utility back 'PHLASH16' with the bios file that I extracted the HP bios update executable (SP37378.exe) for windows.  I use the appropriate program flasher for my motherboard?

I have created a boot CD, copied the PHLASH program and 523. rom file (renamed BIOS.wph) and started the pc.  I can run the PHLASH program but I get a "File Open failed on the BIOS ROM file".  I think that the extraction of the bios file out of the exe file was able to change the file somehow, or is not a complete bios file.  I guess at this point and I'm over my head.

I would expect someone could tell me where I could download the Bios original Pheonix 5.08 dated 08/12/2006

or the update of the bios rom of 523 file. who didn't need to be extracted from another file.

Any help to reflash my system will be appreciated.

Thank you

Please try the BIOS update... some details are also provided in the Readme file.

The unexpected happened by updating my BIOS, we lost the power.  Once the power came back, my machine was bricked.  I get the error of Checksum BIOS's Boot Blocker

I did some research and found that I could re-Flash my BIOS so I could boot to a CD or a floppy disk.  I don't have a floppy drive, and after many attempts, I learned how to create a bootable CD with PHLASH16 and the extracted from the update of the BIOS ROM file that I had downloaded from the HP support site for my computer (sp37378.exe).  The question is the program flash will not read the ROM file that I've extracted from your exe file and I can't find the original file for the BIOS on the HP website.

Am I right in thinking I can reflash my BIOS?

    See the screenshot [here: http://imagefilehost.googlepages.com/f30Wrongupdate.jpg]

    Any idea?

    Hmm... it's strange?  :|

The ACPI from Toshiba x 64 compatible driver certainly means a 64-bit version!

I put t know why Vista driver update notification indicates a 64-bit to a 32 bit OS driver, but usually the 64-bit driver should not be compatible with the 32 bit OS.

However, the deal seems clear don t install if the pilot is not designed for your operating system.

I have a laptop Dell - Inspiron, with Windows Vista 64-bit. I just bought a HP Deskjet 3054 A multifunction printer and my computer will not install the drivers.  I had a Canon printer and had removed all software before you try to add the HP.  I even tried to reinstall, and each time to get a message to both say he is unable to install the drivers.  I currently have a windows update waiting for an update for the processor intel and it also will not be installed. This problem does not seem to be specific to the device, but rather a problem with Windows Vista and after reading a lot of discussion seems to be common.  But I still have no idea how to fix this.

Have you tried to delete the file INFCACHE.1? Deleting the file INFCACHE.1 will force Windows to rebuild the file INFCACHE.1 next time window is looking for drivers.

  • Pavilion dv4-2160us: correct bios for Pavilion dv4-2160us

I have serious overheating problems on my Pavilion dv4-260 and reading that updated the bios might help. I have version F0.b, but some sources said another version.  The HP site says nothing when I check the updates.  Can someone tell me what should be the current bios?

Last version for your model is F.0F - the title of the list of drivers for Windows 7.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv4-2100-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/4074361/model/4125971#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2

I doubt that a BIOS update would solve the problems of overheating. An older office here suffers from overheating in Windows 10 and I think it is due to no AMD graphics driver to Win 10. The graphics card is old and not support for win 10 AMD. The driver using Microsoft base. No doubt will be back this machine to Windows 7.

  • Give me my correct product key for my windows vista 64 bit, I use on my toshiba Office Qosmio X 305 - Q705 operating system

I need my correct Windows vista Home premium 64-bit product... which will correct the error, such as fact but with error and 404 error, this page is not availible.

It's not Microsoft, and we have no product key to give you.

If your 64 bit Vista pre-installed look for a sticker on the underside of the case, which will contain 25 characters of the product key.

Or look in the battery compartment.

If before is not your problem, I suggest that you explain your problem in detail and include error codes.

    See you soon.

  • Update Pavilion a6113w Vista 32-bit to 64-bit

I have a Pavilion a6113w with the 32-bit version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.  This platform will support the 64 bit version of Windows Vista or Windows 7?

    Hello:

Run the W7 Upgrade advisor and see what it reports. Looking at the configuration of your PC system, I see no problem with W7 running.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor

The PC processor is a processor 64-bit capable, then Yes, you should have no problem to launch a 64-bit operating system.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/29738/Intel-Pentium-processor-E2140-1M-cache-1_60-GHz-800-MHz-FSB?q=E2140

I recommend max memory if you plan install a 64 bit OS because they require more memory system to run the 32-bit operating system only.  Not double, but more.

  • Try refomat Pavilion dv6 Vista 64-bit. C: format not available

It has been a year since I have my Pavilion dv6.  It's a little slow and I want a new installation of Windows 7 64-bit.  All my data is stored on external hard drive.

I have my recovery disk ready to go.  When I right click on "C:" in the management of the computer, it won't let me choose 'Format '.  It is just gray.

    How to reformat my C:?

Yes, my laptop has a recovery partiion (D I understand that I must leave in tact.)

Advice on getting this format complete?

    Hello

Since you still have the recovery partition, use Restore Factory is a better option because formatting OS drive is not the same as the format or other readers. Please back up all your data/files first.

To set your PC/laptop to the factory settings, restart the PC/laptop. At HP Home screen has reached repeatly F11 (or ESC) key to start the recovery process. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Pavilion m9252p Vista 64-bit - does not start

My Pavilion m9252p will not start not (diagnosis says corrupted registry) and before I take drastic measures of system recovery, if I remove the hard drive from my office computer and connect it to another computer as a second drive, I will be able to access the files of data from it?  I know that one of the options is to make a backup of the data of the system recovery, but I don't have enough storage.

As you suggest, you can connect the hard drive of the computer on which you have the question to another computer as a second hard drive and can back up the data and not the installed files. There is no wrong in that it's just for a data backup

  • Portege M800 sound frezzes for 1s with Vista 64-bit

I have a strange problem with my M800:
After 20 minutes of audio playback, the computer freezes periodically for about a second and then works fine for about a minute.

The problem is the same with any audio player that I use: WMP11 or AIMP2.5. It works well for the first 20 minutes, then it's from freezing.

If I close a player and open another, it works well for 20 minutes, then the problem appears.

I should mention that I have the latest driver from Toshiba.

    HM, that's really odd

You hear the music to CD or HARD drive? Maybe something wants to read or write a file on the HARD drive, so you have to freeze him.

You can try to disable the TEMPRO in msconfig
    Start-run-msconfig-startup online online online
    Here you can disable.

Check if you have the latest driver chipset on the Toshiba site.

I'm interested in, what is the solution of this problem.
