  Unfortunately, no one here can help you with this. BIOS password is very important security feature, and it cannot be resolved in some public forums.
  This can be solved with only authorized service.

  Response code can be given only by Toshiba and they don't give it to anyone. Authorized service provider can only get it after checking if the laptop has not been stolen.

  I just installed Windows 7 in my Portege M400-104.

  It worked perfectly, but in the last restart, after installing all the drivers and software, and the configuration of my fingerprints, all of a sudden the computer request a password to start! I never entered any BIOS password or I run the help password utility.

  I never used these passwords so I guess it's some defect, one who was accidentally activated by one of the tools I have configured (perhaps?), but I don't know what it is!

  I reinstalled the operating system and the configuration of the biometric security for me, which worked perfectly! However foolishly I also configure startup security (password of BIOS).   AFAIK you cannot remove the BIOS password if you know n t the old BIOS password.

  We have started to put a supervisor on our laptop Tecra A11 password so that our students can not set passwords on the hard drive, etc.
