Black bars on my desk?
What is the big black bar with red and yellow marks little bit about this, and how do I get rid of him?
That looks like its part of the background image because in front of him there is a folder icon. Your background image did get corrupted at all? Try to fix it and see if you have the same problem wit ha another image file.

Black bars on the left and right sides of all my games when they are full screen mode
While I was running a game after upgrading vista to windows 7, all the games now have black bars on the sides of the screen that looks to when you watch movies in format wide vs full screen. What is a display problem? DirectX problem? How should I do? It gets annoying when I want to play in full screen but technically can't because of these bars.
so I think it is a problem of resolution because I could put in effect of mass of my laptop and now its full screen... I hope I tell me something on warcraft since it can go to lik 1024 x 720 lol... and I won't change my max resolution on my desk... I still think its strange that the game was full screen when I was playing it on vista with the same settings. I guess that ill just wait for a patch or something and just in front of her.
Thanks for the help.

Hi, I bought a new Apple MacBook Air yesterday of FNAC in Geneva, and when I got it home I couldn't go beyond the black bar. In the end, I got a white circle with a slash and a black screen. Please tell us what to do. Thank you.
Bring her back. It's new, it's at the shop for sorting or replace it, not you to try to fix it.

Hello
Here's my question:
For some reason, I suddenly have a black bar on the top of each window.
I don't get this black bar in safe mode.
I always get this black bar with all the disabled extension (equivalent to safe mode)
I don't get this black bar when I select in the title bar in 'customize '.Seems to be related to the title sort of bar...
I use the latest version of FF (42) on OSX 10.11.1
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Best,
-J-Hello juliendalcol, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration.
You will need to restart Firefox before this takes effect so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Click the menu button
then select the Options under Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
- Select the Advanced Panel, then on the general tab.
- Uncheck the use hardware acceleration when available.
- Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
This solve your problems? Please report to us!
If the problem is resolved, you should check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in these articles in the knowledge base:
Acceleration is disabled in SafeMode except all the extensions and the material.
Thank you.
- Click the menu button

Black bar on the right upper window controls
Since I "refreshed" Firefox 36, a small black bar appeared in the far right corner of the Firefox screen that exactly
covers the Minimize/resize/exit buttons. Although the controls work properly when I click in the box to left/center/right of the black bar, why is the bar, in that exact spot, in the first place? And how do I get rid of him?I'm not a computer technician. I don't know what is safe mode or what's an extension. I'm just a simple user. I'll try to reload Firefox and if I don't get a version without these problems that I can't cope with I will begin using another browser.

black bar more close, minimize and full page.
Even so, the close, minimize and full symbols page still work, they are hidden by a black bar in the upper right of the screen. This showed up a couple of days. I've just updated to Firefox 30.0, but it does not eliminate the black bar.
I appreciate your help, I found the problem in safe mode! That was the theme, Aeon Big7.1. It is odd that what happened out of the blue, without changing anything. I'll see if I can contact the developer to see if he has any suggestions.

The black bar resembles a 'theme' and also affects my other records. Open message windows not the (old) blue bar at the top, and the reduce/resize/close buttons are clearly visible here. How to make the black bar on the records go away if I can see the buttons?
Thank you.

A black bar with command line down load automatically - how to remove
Some time ago I noticed that a black bar began to appear at the bottom of the firefox window. There > > brand on the left, a suite command line to report without delay, which allows me to write, and an icon key and 'x' on the right. When I hover the mouse over the key, he says "switch developer tools" (or something similar in the sense - I translate from Polish). I spent the better part of an hour to seek solutions on the web, but I'm at my wit's end now - I don't know yet what we call this bar! Whatever it is, I would be eternally grateful for any advice on how to remove this terrible thing my browser (the more permanent solution, the better it is). Thanks in advance
Try to go into Tools> >Web Developer> > now uncheck all options

If I remember correctly, old versions of Firefox had a black bar below the navigation bar on the opening screen that allowed specific searches for 'Images', 'News' 'Cards', 'Video', 'Shopping', etc.
Now this bar only appears when a search has been performed.
Is it possible to customize Firefox, so this appears on the logon screen.
The bar does not have a toolbar name.Versions of Firefox 4 + use a new build-in home page named Subject: House with a Google search bar on this issue (no internet access required for the loading of this page).
What about: home page only shows a few clips and has a button to restore the previous session, as appropriate.
If you want a home with extras page, and then set a different page than the homepage like www.google.com as used in versions of Firefox 3 or on the iGoogle homepage ([www.google.com/ig]).

When I open Firefox there is a black bar, sometimes vertical, sometimes horizontal, in the upper part, with links to maps, Gmail etc. When I opened Gmail the same links are listed at the top of the screen, just under the tabs. In my wife's cell phone, it appears in the Firefox splash screen, but not in the form of Gmail. In the top of the screen is an extra-large gray bar with just one Google search box entry. Is this a problem of Firefox or Google?
She has XP Home SP3 and Firefox 9
Thanks for any help.
