Black screen on videos on YouTube or Facebook

I can't watch videos all of a sudden.  I watched... Videos youtube without END and had no problems.  Acer laptop age of 2 months, brand new, the first question I had.  Go to youtube or click on a link to watch a video on Facebook and get a black screen where the video should be.  No arrow, not nothing.  Run AVG Antivirus ran a scan... says no infection, but does not see a single video.  Any suggestions?  Tried sytem restore and still does not.  Thanking you in advance Oh running Windows 7... Thank you.

Go to chrome and type chrome://flags/
> then search (Deutsch > Hardwarebeschleunigte video-Decodierung deaktivieren) or > (English > disable hardware acceleration video decode)
Click on > Deutsch > aktivieren or English > activate.
Restart Chrome.
That's all. Problem is solved. Enjoy.

  • Given that I have install iOS 9.3.1 my iPhone 6 Plus is very slow, in the speakers and keyboard, I can't watch videos in YouTube or Facebook and sometimes do not work the volume buttons and lock

Given that I have install iOS 9.3.1 my iPhone 6 Plus is very slow, in the speakers and keyboard, I can't watch videos in YouTube or Facebook and sometimes do not work the volume buttons and the lock. I rebooted my phone like 10 times and it does not work, I need help,

Have you tried a forced reboot? Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose anything.

If this does not help, I would like to try a restore:

  • Firefox displays black screen during playback of YouTube

I noticed recently that Firefox stopped reading YouTube videos and showing only black there where it is supposed to be a video of the screen. So after a lot of research, a lot of people argued that this is problem of flash player. I tried to install the earlier version, but that has not changed anything. So I uninstalled Firefox and downloaded more old, but stable version (34.0.5). And voila! YouTube videos shows again. After a week, I noticed that YouTube watch again box black screen. Unwittingly, I opened the Revo Uninstall and saw that there are TWO Firefoxes installed - one is that I have personally installed and another is newest Firefox 37.0.2. So I uninstalled the latest Firefox, but unfortunately it also uninstalled my old version of Firefox. This time still installed Firefox older (34.0.5) and I made that he never check for updates and it not install them. YouTube has started to play well. After a few days, new Youtube not not video poster, only his time and you can see real video images by pointing cursor on the video time line. So I checked the applications installed and found mysteriously installed latest Firefox with the former. So can anyone help me to stop the latest auto-install Firefox and leave only the old man? Any solution would be much appreciated.

YouTube has failed over to the HTML5, users of Firefox's Flash player default player. Usually, you can distinguish by right clicking on the drive and looking at the last item in the context menu that appears. Can or if you see this page, you confirm that you have been switched?

    https://www.YouTube.com/HTML5

As a temporary workaround, there are a couple of extension to force the Flash on YouTube for users who find that the HTML5 player doesn't work for them (or downloaders will only work with Flash). For example:

But with Windows 7, you should be able to use the HTML5 YouTube Player, and it would be so ideal for trying to debug this problem if you are interested to experiment a little.

  • Black screen during video playback

I use a Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB drive, uploading videos through the Sansa Media Converter 1.0B004.256CDG Windows XP/SP2 version. While the MSC has said that the videos have been converted successfully, trying to read them, I get a black screen and no sound. Any suggestions?

Try to format your rocket on the format and settings. Although this will delete everything on your rocket, you will get a fresh start. If you cannot format Fuze player, then go on Rhapsody with the right button on your rocket and click on format. Try to download the videos again.

  • video won't play in youtube, twitter, facebook or gmail. What's wrong. It was published and it plays fine on my phone.

After the publication, will not play video in youtube, twitter, facebook or gmail. What's wrong.

When you say not able to play on youtube, you use the link that is generated from the app (action on the Youtube link). Can you try to save the movie on film (save to Camera Roll) and then play the movie. If the film which is recorded in the camera does not play, it would be a problem with the photos and videos you have imported currently. Also when you answer, can you clarify it's iOS and Android.

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

    • Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
    • Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

  • Adobe Flash Player not display videos on YouTube after some point - black screen only

Hello. I have a problem with Flash Player on YouTube. It crashed it many, many times so I decided to open this thread to let you know on this subject, if you do not already know.

Now, I have no report of accident or something it crashes after a while. Even if it does not crash report, I understand because YouTube videos do not work and I had only a black screen. When I tried to close (click on 'X' in the top right) Firefox, he refuses to close with a few clicks. I can only close with the combination of keys CTRL + ALT + DELETE and end the process. After I closed Firefox and open the new page, it works fine until I get the same situation.

In addition, I have laptop with these specs:

    Intel Core i5 3210 m

AMD Radeon 7670 m + Intel HD 4000 (with AMD Switchable Graphics called Enduro)

    8 GB Ram

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I don't know what problem is the cause, so I couldn't give you a lot of information. But if you need information, I'll try to help. Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm sorry for the bad English.

Thanks for your reply. I totally forgot the subject, sorry.

I solved the problem, feature hardware acceleration just disabled in the Preferences menu and everything works fine now.

If Yes, then I know what s wrong. It's only a matter of wrong setting.

-under Show settings should be the first tab, uncheck the option named use hardware acceleration

    This should help

  • black screen YouTube

When that I go on YouTube to watch videos either directly or from other websites, all I see is a black screen.  The rest of the page looks normal with the thumbnails on the right, as well as the comments under the main screen section, etc.  Even when I call my own videos I always get a black screen.  A few days ago when it happened for the first time, I read somewhere on Google that I have to reset Internet Explorer (I have 8).  I reset IE8 and was able to get the YouTube screen as usual.  But today I went on YouTube from another Web site and the screen becomes black.  I have no idea what to do this time because I did Diagnostics using instructions provided by Microsoft, ActiveX, Adobe, etc., all to nothing does not.  What happened to my computer?

UPDATE!  It's Thursday, July 7, 2011 and I decided to post one of my videos which the URL is in my YouTube mail folder.  The YouTube video played normally.  Then I went to rense.com and selected an article with a YouTube video.  I've linked to YouTube and the video played normally.  It seems that the problem has been corrected.  I hope we don't have to go through this again because it sucks.

Hi EdwardLopez, here is a post on this issue. Check if the steps helps you to fix the problem. http://www.Google.com/support/forum/p/YouTube/thread?TID=5b6f8b8b8014a6d6 if this does not help, post your request in the Youtube forum for better support.

    My response to the above:

No, with the exception of the suggestion that http have a s added (https) on the YouTube address bar, nothing suggested by a ton of people with the same problem helped. Helped my reset Internet Explorer 8, but it was short-lived. In the future if it happens again, if Microsoft were to YouTube inaccessible to users of Microsoft (with their permission, of course), then Google would feel the 'effects' and get the cracks on the restoration of YouTube.
