  Initially, this problem started about 3 weeks ago, when my son was playing on the site Web of Cbeebies and the just suddenley computer crashed, showed a screen blue error, then rebooted. Then it started happening frequently and after running several diagnistics sytem scans (which is now much I forget which those, no doubt) there seems to be a problem with my AVG and report software, so I uninstalled my AVG but STILL havn't could completely uninstall all report. It seemed for a while every time I installed AV software my system would break down shortly after, but now that has changed and today, my PC crashed just twice but this time without a blue error screen! Now becomes very odd and very annoying. Please can you help me solve this problem? I have 2 files of mini dump that I can't not training how to read even though I have Visual 2008 which is supposed to open these files.

• Boots Vista black screen with white cursor and nothing else (Black Screen of Death)

  After a download from Microsoft update last week, my system has rebooted. He first had a screen blue error, rebooted, reported a disk error and automatically run CHKDSK. Since then, the system has started a black with white slider screen and nothing else. This happens at startup options (Normal, safe, safe with the last command good known configuration). Not even sticky keys would come to the top. CTRL-Alt-Delete, Ctrl-Alt-Esc and all other keys has nothing did. Even with a right click.

My system is backed up (with the exception of the Windows folder), but I really don't want to have to make a full recovery, as I have a lot of specialized programs and settings that would probably take me a week to re - install and re - set.

  That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

  Follow the methods below to work on the issue.
   
  Method 1:
  The error occurs if thard drive there no matter what bad sectors or other problems. VOU can use disk check and verify commands:

  a click Start, type cmd in the start search box, right-click cmd in the list of programs and then click on run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
  b. at the command prompt, type Chkdsk/f and press ENTER.
  c. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
  d. close all applications and restart the computer. Note When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then starts.
  e. once the computer has restarted, try to perform the backup and restore.
  Warning: We recommend not to interrupt the CHKDSK process. Microsoft does not guarantee the integrity of the disk if the CHKDSK program is interrupted. For security, you can back up your data before using check disk drive.
