BlackBerry 8830 World Smartphones conclusion available memory level

How do you determine available memory on my World Edition 8830?

Thank you. 7.7 MB after re-booting like you did it.

Good.

You want to get it above 10-11 MB of free files, and you should be aiming for 15 MB of free file.

I have a smart phone Blackberry 8830 World Editiion. I need to reinstall the software and want to get the latest version. When I get to "Select a device" I see the 8820 but not 8830. I selected the 8820 software and installed. Now, when I use the camera I can highlight all applications but not select any. The phone still works but I can't ' access to something else.

Is it a coincidence or I mess up using the 8820 software?  If so, how can I get the software 8830?

    Thanks for the help.

  • Smartphones Bing blackBerry browser icon appeared on the Blackberry 8830 World Edition

    Hello

Is it possible to permenetly remove browser BING Blackberry 8830? I know that I am able to hide the icon, but I wish to remove it while it is exactly as it was before the surge of the icon.

This icon (and functions) to eliminate a local PC hooked up to the Blackberry?

This icon (and functions) are eliminated using a BES Server?

What are the effects of negetive to withdraw? (If it can be removed)

I found the article of Blackberry - Document ID KB20496 which makes it appear as if this can be changed since the end of the customer.

Thanks for any help your insight you can lend me.

It is activated by a carrier pushed the maintenance book. If you remove the service book, he'll get regrowth.

Just hide it. I create a folder on my homescreen device named "junk" move pushed carrier unnecessary icons there and then hide the entire folder.

  • BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphones accepting not SIM

I had posted on February 28, 2009 on a trip outside the United States in Asia and the use of my 8830 here and was informed the phone is unlocked and would accept a SIM card. However, I tried to insert the SIM card in the slot that matches that I had (there are two slots Im assuming one if, for a multimedia card) and it doesn't seem to work. I used the SIM card in another phone (not Blackberry) and it seems to work so its must be the BlackBerry.

I have to do something before I insert the SIM card for it to work? Or y at - it another way to solve this problem?

    Thanks for your help.

PS I'm in India so that relates to the answer or help.

Go to Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options.  Here to ensure what he says "SIM Card: security disabled.

If it is not the case, you should contact your provider and tell them you want to have security disabled for SIM card.  This will allow you to use SIM cards (for example those paid in advance) on your Berry.

P.S. I have a VZW/Vodafone SIM (it's free) from the service overall assistance and after that I got this SIM card installed on my phone, I had to call and have the security-disabled.

    Good luck

  • BlackBerry App World Smartphones do not install

    Hello

I just bought a Blackberry Storm and was looking forward to using the App World. When I try to install App World via the computer or my phone it says that my phone is not compatible with the App World. I find it strange because my phone is in conformity with the specifications since it has the SurePress 4.7, touchscreen software and I'm in the United Kingdom.

I'm on Vodafone and I get unlimited Internet so I don't see what the problem is.

    Thank you

I've got it sorted. I had to ring to the top of my contract provider and ask to register my SIM for blackbery internet. Once this is done, I was bale to download the app world.

  • BlackBerry App World Smartphones gives files of the application of the old version of whatsapp

    Hello

    First of all...

    • Your carrier-> OF Vodafone
    • Your BlackBerry model-> Bold 9700
    • Your BlackBerry OS (can be found in the Options->)-> v5.0.0.545
    • Version of App World (can be found by going to Options-> Advanced-> Applications)-> v1.1.0.33
    • If you have BIS or BES (personal use or business use)-> BES

I bought Whatsapp about 2-3 weeks - at this point Whatsapp performed v2.1.

A few days ago I resetet my camera (there were some problems with the connection to BIS) and wanted to install whatsapp worldwide app - download worked and everything has been installed very well - but app world give me the files to v2.0.1 but claims to be v2.2 - so whatsapp couldn't initial step correctly and does not work!

I've already sent with the support of whatsapp and they say that it is a bug in the app world.

Support WhatsApp: "Yes, it's a bug of AppWorld. He gives files of the application of the old version, but claims that it is the new version. »

also take a look at these screenshots:

    http://www.lcd0711.de/Capture2.jpg

Someone has any idea how to fix this?

    thanking you in anticipation

Everyone - please read my response above. There is no formal AppWorld press here - zero. If the developer of the app wants to have users try to introduce the issue with RIM, only channel users to do so is through your official support - which is provided by your operator.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry App World Smartphone reinstall after that EACH reset

I have re App World on my 9530 (OS 5.0.0.32 8) at least 25 times intant. To use it, I have to not only to reinstall it, but I actually need to re - DOWNLOAD (usually after every restart). I downloaded and resinstalled several times over a few days.  :-(

Why? What is the secret to use App World without having to download and reinstall almost everytime?

FYI: I am aware of the menu choice "Show all", and that applies here.

    Thanks for any help... :-)

    DS9

I solved this problem by wiping my security options back to factory specifications. It was a chore, and I had to reinstall all my applications. But it worked!  :-)

  • BlackBerry App World Smartphones do not use WiFi

Currently in the United States with the data roaming not selected but connected to WiFi and everything is fine until I have try and connect to App World when it won't let me 'Data Services' not connected.

How can I force App World to use the WiFi connection?

You can not.  Unless you are using an older version of the AppWorld, you can only connect via your network connection.  Why, I don't know.  It's just the way it is.
