  Hi guys, I am trying to invoke the blackberry native E-mail application, trying to do until now I'm able to view email compose screen and the data filled in, but my problem is after he gets invoked from in my application it never get all events, as I can not kick it, the BlackBerry shortcut menu does not appear the menu only one that works is the menu that appears by pressing the keys (trackball).

  All events, including the characters of that type in the body of the message i don't get it.

  Please help me.

  with the code above in invokeLater, I even tried without invokeLater but in vain.

  my scenario is a user clicks an option in the menu contextual app Feeback Email application opens and with the preset values user can edit too with his comments.

  Thanks guys, but now I found the solution for my problem mentioned above.

  the issue was with event management, even if my app was painted with screen e-mail editor events received to my main application screens, so I put control of all handlers on the current active form.

  IN your Facebook account on your PC, ensure that notifications by e-mail of the messages on the wall, etc. are turned off.
  In the Facebook for BlackBerry app, click Options and uncheck the option of integration of message.

  I don't want to step on the toes of Boomer56, but you have been unanswered for six hours, so I'll take a shot at it.

  If you connect your phone to your PC and open the Desktop Manager, you can reload your current operating system from there.  Firstly, open Desktop Manager and do a backup of your phone.  Once it is done, click the device in the upper part of the DM and update the menu drop down.  You could say that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of this box, it will show view other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version is the one that is checked.  Keep it checked, and then click Update.  This is going to re - install your current operating system, as well as all the bells and whistles with which it came.

  Hi there and welcome to the forums!

  You can resolve this problem by following the steps (I did the same thing on my Storm for the same reason you):

  • Open the phone application, then press the BB Menu key and select Options
  • Select Call Logging and then change the calls to zero logging options.

  This will still show an icon for missed calls, but it will remove the calls to your main message folder.

  2. click on 'Edit' next to the email to which account you want to change (or remove) the signature.

  3. where it says "signature", delete all the text if you don't want ANY signature, or change view you prefer instead of "sent from my BlackBerry... »

  If she really didn't know the password of his BlackBerry ID, then, from a computer, visit http://www.blackberry.com/blackberryid , click Reset password. then she got to try one by one with each Email ID, you enter the same password for all.   I'm not sure I quite understand, so let me explain (forgive me if I go too far).

  Unless you have your own server, your system accesses your e-mail provider via POP or IMAP... but your home system is simply an e-mail client. Similarly, BIS is an e-mail client that facilitates the communication between your server and your BB email. The Setup instructions to do this are here:

  Now, if you use this, then you must configure your home email client to leave messages on the server for a certain period of time - so that when the BIS polls for new messages (every 15 minutes), they will be on the server for it to recover and push to your BB.

  However, if your question is one of recovery, using your system, your emails that you have set up for a @bb e-mail address, I don't think that there is a way to do... I think that those who are exclusively for your BB itself.

  Indeed - if Sprint have not migrated your old BB PIN BIS account to the new, so nothing of your old configuration work. Call them to confirm that everything is correct with their configuration for your replacement BB.

  OK, im tired of Google looking for help on this topic without finding answers

  I bought a Storm 9520 on vodafone just after the new year and so far ive just are a total pain. I can open the bbm and when I add people or they add me, applications just not send.

  Also, my contract said it came with email free blackberry, I did not. Infact I can not get any email on the phone, he sends me just an Assistant where I need a password I do not know.

  Facebook app connects - I get the message "cannot connect because a data service is not available...". ». When I try and send a photo on facebook... nothing, just to get the same message. So far ive been using the browser for Facebook that works very well, with wifi, so I know I can get internet.

  Its my first blackberry and if I can't find a resolution to this problem it will definitely be my last.

  Is that what Im missing? Everything I should have done when I got to the phone?

  Any ideas? Help, please!

  Sorry for this late reply, completely forgotten about this post, but better late than never just to get closure on this.

  It was really simple, I just had to ring upward, my data service had not been activated. When I received the phone the sim card initially had not enabled so I had to ring upwards to activate this aswell, looks like they forgot to activate the services on my sim card at all.

  Had no email either... still need to ring upwards to activate that.

  Nope... the hub is functioning with BB10. Individual e-mail account icons no longer exist. That's just how it works, and I don't know if you give yourself the time that you quite get used to it (as well as real estate additional homescreen released for other things).

  If EAS is enabled, then use the advanced/manual configuration method to integrate the account (you may need to ask your Support for the correct settings). Done, e-mail, calendar, and contacts will all sync OTA between the server and the device.

  Hi, I set up Yahoo mail on my Pasport I need the option to control Spam... I have 3 accounts with Yahoo, lately, I have noticed that I don't get not all incoming e-mails alerts but noticed when I went into settings - accounts & clicked on each account they had unsynchronized for long enough time (in hours). I then re - synchronize manually each individually to finally get my "new" emails Have looked around to see if there is some adjustment of 'time' that I can put to Sync but not luck... So I wonder if it's a problem of Yahoo App or slow broadband (BT ) or perhaps another question that I need to look at... keep I was wondering if I should just to finish with the Yahoo separate App & fits the Blackberry a stock?

  You must actually create the account to meet this option.
