Classic BlackBerry Email / Microsoft exchange

issue.  I paid to have a blackberry that I liked.  However, he started having problems with my server at work and would not properly work with my email.  Our office abandoned and is gone to iphones.  Now, the question I have is, did BlackBerry improvements to work better with Exchange?  Will be calendar and e-mail download correctly?  Y at - it an MS Outlook equivlent app that can be used like iphone OS devices?

Thank you

If EAS is enabled, then use the advanced/manual configuration method to integrate the account (you may need to ask your Support for the correct settings). Done, e-mail, calendar, and contacts will all sync OTA between the server and the device.

  • Duration classic blackBerry email

I notice by means of tests she took more than 25 minutes for my phone to receive the same email I receive on my desktop through Microsoft Outlook almost instantly.

Does anyone know if this is due to a setting in my classic BB, which allows for such a period of time before reaching the BB servers?

Is there an effective range of time which should be accepted as 'normal' when receiving messages via BB servers?

Every minute counts and if I don't receive emails within 5 minutes of them being sent by the sender I lose the valuable information/work, etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Interloper1969

In the e-mail configuration screens, there may be settings... but they will vary in availability as well as the usefulness dependent on the e-mail service, to which you are connected. For example:

With EAS, it is true PUSH... but it depends on your mail server to the thrust of the device

With IMAP, it is sometimes PUSHING, but if you do not configure then the timer increments on the unit will determine the delay between attempts to SHOOT.

With pop, there is only SHOOTING, controlled by the interval setting you put on the device.

Thus, it is impossible to give you more details without knowing what it's e-mail system, you are connected to.

Oh and BTW, there is no "BB servers" at stake in this. BB10 uses a client full email on the device, which communicates directly with the mail server and does not pass through any infrastructure of BB. BB BIS inherited peripheral apprenticeships, but BB10 infrastructure does not BIS.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Classic BlackBerry save a classic Blackberry email

    Could someone help me please!

With all my other BlackBerry, I was able to delete an e-mail from the front screen, but while retaining it in a backup folder

With the classic, once I erase the fron screen (HUB) it automatically deletes registered screen?

    Really appreciate anybodys help here

    concerning

    Patrick

The Blackberry Hub is just a view that combines all messages from all folders. So if you delete a message in a folder, it will be also left the hub. If you delete a message in the hub, he's also gone file.

To solve your problem, I would go to

Hub > Menu button > settings > display and Actions

    and together

See the class reading Emails = No.

You will now see your Inbox in the hub, but as soon as you move a file in a folder, it will not be shown in the hub. You can still see the mail when you go into the specific folder.

  • 10 classic blackBerry email setup

I'm moving from "BOLD" to a classic.  I tried to set up e-mail on my classic accounts but have several unsuccessful attempts.  I use the same account to my "BOLD" settings.  I was wondering if the fact that I still have active E-mail on my "BOLD" is originally the failure during E-mail set up on Classic?

JSanders, I understand it.  I deleted the e-mail account on my "BOLD" and then added the e-mail account to my classic.  Worked.  So, looks like you can not have the same e-mail account simultaneously on two different blackberries.  Thanks for your help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can you synchronize all Outlook folders on a Blackberry "BOLD" using Microsoft Exchange?

Hi, I use a Blackberry "BOLD" to view my Inbox, but I would love to see my other folders, including my spam folder. Is it possible to do? I do not use the Blackberry Exchange Server (BES) - I am using Microsoft Exchange.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

FYI - BES = Blackberry Enterprise Solution (or server)... it is not strictly for the Exchange...

Use of the file is a feature of BES. So if you use it, then it is not available.

  • "Security error" when setting 'Microsoft Exchange Hosted Services' Exchange account (user in company)

I am a user in a company with a very large company that actually uses Microsoft Hosted Exchange services hosted by Microsoft employees in their facilities.  I called Palm support and they were clueless and zero help.  The lady pointed me to some Palm article I had already read and only remotely had nothing to do with my problem.  I don't see anything about this error message in the forums and google searches. Sprint has even replaced my other reasons palm pre, and the same error occurs once I configured the exchange account. I also see the error when I set up my account on my pixi nine wives. Our pre and pixi have already exchange accounts set up with success on our phones that are hosted by sherweb. Sherweb's exchange accounts work fine. I tried to set up this account of microsoft hosted exchange 5 - 6 times with the same result. He accepts my configuration information and adds to the list of email accounts available in the meadow. However, it keeps popping up the message stating "error of security policy:"Exchange..." Tap for details"(with a yellow exclamation point). Then he said "Security policy error" the Exchange (first part of my email address) account is disabled because it is impossible to define security policies. "'Leave this option disabled' or 'delete account '. I know that something does not work because it applied a policy of password or PIN on my phone which is not necessary, unless the account has been added. I can also see it in the "Mobile devices" section of outlook web when I login. This is the place in web outlook where you can see the last time the device synchronized, if remote, you can wipe the phone etc. If anyone has an idea how to solve my problem please post. Any ideas? I'm fresh out of ideas on this issue and very frustrated by the Palm developers. Just another example of evil-development and practical tests by Palm. I hope they correct this problem on later versions, but I'm only slightly optimistic that they will never get this medium of exchange e-mail at the level necessary for the support of large corporations. What I know is that my Microsoft Hosted Exchange account works fine on a Windows Mobile phone and an iPhone 3GS (confirmed by the other coworks who have set up their phones using our Exchange services). Accordingly, I have no choice but Palm to blame for this problem instead of Microsoft. Please, Palm fully support microsoft exchange e-mail users!

After a lot of research on the subject, here is my point of view on the State of support for MS Exchange @ Palm and other companies.

Unfortunately, Palm Pre and Pixi, WebOS is not fully supported Microsoft Exchange.  This has led to numerous reports of frustrated customers and countless hours of time wasted by consumers and technical support trying to figure out how to connect these Palm devices to the MS Exchange e-mail servers.  Way to go Palm!  Provide support for all the free email accounts worldwide and decide not to develop a product that is able to support your most rich and more influential-based email clients.  These are the people who are most likely able to spend more money on your mobile products or make decisions for companies that are able to buy huge amounts of smart phones.  Way to go guys!  Penny wise and dollar foolish if you ask me!  Palm supports only partially a handful of MS Exchange security policies.  They document what they take in charge, but they do a very poor job of documenting or even explain the limitations of the software.  Their States of documentation that the security policies that are not supported will not be applied and that users will still be able to connect to the exchange server.  This is certainly not true based on the reported error and other similar user reports.  Here is how iPhone and Palm compare in regards to the support of MS exchange security policy.  Notice in the quotes below the iPhone supports the policy of 'require the encryption of devices' which is very probably used by your greater and more security conscious companies or Government institutions.  I'm sure that Palm's inability to support "device encryption" is why I get this error, even if I have really no way to prove it at the present time.  Come on Palm, if you go to support full POP3 and IMAP, you must provide the full support of the binding protocol and political security by Microsoft Exchange product.  Here is the comparison between iPhone and Palm WebOS:

' Said the site of Apple, the iPhone supports the camera allow, password enabled, allow a Simple password, alphanumeric password, Password Expiration, history of password, Maximum password attempts failed, minimum password length, maximum idle lock, policy, Minimum refresh interval complex character devices. ", require manual synchronization while roaming and - in iPhone OS 3.1 only - require Device Encryption". (13 security policies)

"Palm Web site says its WebOS 1.1 and later support active password, alphanumeric password, password history, Maximum password attempts failed, maximum length password, lock of inactivity maximum, Minimum peripheral characters complex and Password Recovery." (8 security policies)

Windows Mobile 6.1 supports all THE policies.

BlackBerry does not support the EAS (MS Exchange)

Google's Android is not compatible EAS (they may have recently released some support but not full)

Conclusion: If you want a mobile device that fully supports MS Exchange, buy something that is running Windows Mobile 6.1 (or higher) or even an iPhone 3 g (or more).  At least, until Palm decides they want to throw a development more $$ to support Microsoft Exchange E-mail to enhance their level of support.

You need to talk to the people Whats App regarding whether their application is compatible with your device desired or not. But, beyond that, you must make sure that your device is compatible with the business network on which you want to operate. Reference:

IF one of these is compatible with your network of desired carrier, so be sure that you buy the exact submodel. To determine the compatibility of carrier, contact the carrier to discuss the features of your device through their network.

As a general rule, IF your device is compatible with your network of carriers, you can use a normal data plan on their part for all services. However, you need to ask the developer of the app if a specific application you want to work on your chosen device (particularly ports APK). All compatible applications should work fine on WiFi, regardless of carrier network issues. The regional network restrictions, if there is any, will be of course insurmountable by the device.

    anandaashish wrote:

Curious question... If you mean specifically the Google game shop, native mode is not available on any device BB10. Rather, WINK has been developed that replicates the store Google Play for BB10 devices. Reference:

However, any application for which the Director chose to do depending on the Google Services play will not work without some 3rd party "hacks" of the APK.

Hmmm... These words "official email (Microsoft outlook)", it is difficult to understand. If you mean Outlook.com (or any it related areas, for example, HotMail, Live, etc.), and then integrate those very well through the peripheral on e-mail Setup Wizard. In addition, they incorporate such as EAS, providing more robust email handling available.

On the other hand, if you mean client PC Outlook desktop, which is totally different.

Then please provide explanations if I misunderstood your question.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones, Blackberry, Outlook 2003, Exchange Server 2003 H I...

I don't know there is a simple put in place the configuration to solve these problems.  We have recently implemented a new Server Windows 2003 with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.  There are 4 Blackberry users with different smartphone models.  This time management doesn't want to invest in the Blackberry Professional or Enterprise Server.  I am looking for a knowledge article that treats a configuration set to set up the following questions:

    1. Windows Server 2003 R2 with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.  E-mail is delivered directly to the Microsoft Exchange Server.  No POP3 is used.
    2. We have ability to create of MX and a records additional.
    3. Blackberry users are dispersed throughout all of the United States using Verizon Wireless as their company.
    4. Some have jobs, some with laptops.
    5. In the office where the Microsoft Exchange Server, users connect through a VPN connection.
    6. Some users have Blackberry Desktop Manager and Blackberry Redirector installed.
    7. Users want their Blackberries to send and receive emails, appointments, sync with Outlook 2003.
    8. Receive email communication internal to other users of the network on their Blackberries.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Email - shoot Office Outlook read messages on my phone

I don't know much about the operation of the e-mail servers and the subtleties behind e-mail, so I find it very difficult to deduct my answer to previous messages.

I can't seem to solve this problem and it has troubled me for a long time now.

I have a blackberry curve 8310 and a microsoft exchange e-mail account. When I get an email, it goes to my outlook Inbox and my phone which is normal. I read it and it shows as read. Fine. Everything is good.

But when I look at an email read more later on, no matter what age the enamel is, it transmits to my phone again. And once again. And once again. Whenever I simply click on the email to open it, it sends to my phone as if it were a new email.

Also when I was not in the office for a long time I had to access my email via the web. When I can finally go back to outlook, I get a load (bad word) of new messages on my phone. This is of course all read messages of all the days I was away from the office, I ALREADY RECEIVED.

Any advice on where to go with this will be appreciated.

    Thank you

    BIS is Blackberry Internet Service

This is how you integrate e-mail through your operator accounts

need to connect to your carriers BIS site (if you don't know, in my opinion the best way to find it is... to search google for "carriername" BIS)

    example: verizon BIS

first link will be your carriers BIS of the site, click top and you connect.

Here you will see your email address, you want to delete

then follow the instructions in the article to reinstate it below

  • Microsoft Exchange: Server does not delete messages deleted or moved with Mail

It drives me crazy.  I have a Microsoft Exchange account at work that I put in place with the mail.  It seems to work perfectly in almost all respects - it synchronizes new messages, and if I send emails it works fine.  The ONLY thing is to delete messages from my Inbox on the server when I use Mail to delete them or move them out of my Inbox to a local folder; It is not even move them to the folder items deleted on the server.  So, I get messages saying: my account is almost full, and I need to access my Outlook account on a web browser and manually remove the y of my Inbox.  Yes, I checked my account preferences and made sure "store the deleted messages on the server" is disabled.

Can anyone help?  I use El Capitan with Mail 9.3 10.11.4.  I'm ready to tear my hair on it.

You drag the message out of the Exchange Inbox to records the "on my Mac"?

If so, you copy the message.

    To move...

    • Use the move icon to move the message
    • Use the command key.

This will force a move instead of a copy. It works exactly as to put them into files in the Finder — between different servers (and move from an Exchange or an IMAP folder to a local folder moves between server) the file/email is copied by default.

Cmd-drag forces a shot instead. Dragging between different folders on the same server goes by default, but a copy can be forced by holding down the Option key when you drag.
