• App World - BIG ISSUES - support provider needed!

  Our support email receives much too many e-mails regarding our application of SoundEffects.  I would really like to work with someone to BlackBerry on fixing these problems.  Here's what has happed because first of all, we have published our application:

  1 SoundEffects v1.0 was released and we began to receive many emails from users of storm sounds complainant has not played

  2. we confirmed that the Simulator has worked but devices have not issues.  The only work is about to set the volume after the sound is played.  There are several positions to a firmware issue and how it was fixed, but Verizon does not seem to get the upgrade.

  3. we take the storm off the coast of the list supported for v1.0

  4. created v1.0.1, which works around the problem to constantly adjust the volume when playing sounds.  Post us this new version and configured to be used only for the storms.

  5. the correction seems to work for new customers.  Impossible to former clients who were on v1.0.  They get the option click on upgrade, but it never downloads and always error.  Some customers get just the button to buy the app again.  It is not good that we have set is a free update.

  6. we get also some emails on how to download apps again or downloads fail to Download Center.  I would like to know how to react to this.  Is there an email support for blackberry App World, because there is nothing we can do to solve these problems.

  I wish I could say this process has been worth, but given the number of purchases compared to all emails we have field for reasons beyond our control – bad firmware, bad downloads, has no updates, etc.  We would like to get a better understanding of how to answer these questions and if there are future improvements that will provide a better end-user for our customers experience.  Thanks for any help you provide.

  Thank you for your e-mail.  I wanted to address a few points/issues you mentioned below and try to bring a light at the end of the tunnel.

  a. the user is impossible to pass your app (connection error message)

  b. the user by not seeing your application when you log into My World

  The 2 above issues have been identified early last week, and we are working on a fix to solve these 2 problems.  We expect to implement it and to live in the next 24-36 hours. Once this fix, users must be able to correctly reconcile their applications purchased by logging into my world, but also to move your application from the old version to the latest version.

• Distribute an application outside of BlackBerry App World

  I have a BlackBerry 10 app I want to distribute to people until it's available on BlackBerry App World.  Is this possible to do?  If so, how are you going to do?  What is also simple to send the file from the bar, or what I need to do something more involved?

  Hello! You can send the BAR + debug the token, but the debugging token will expire in a month and the BAR will stop working.

  Another option is sending a signed BAR but you will not be able to control its further distribution.

  App world tells me on the right side of the page that my machine is connected (which is) via the USB port. I tried the phone turned off, taking the battery for more than a minute to be sure, restart the phone, restart the computer and try again with no luck.

  I also tried several browsers, Chrome and Firefox.

  I therefore disabled my firewall and still had no success. This gets really annoying, and my blackberry seems to have stupid questions like this forever.

  I tried in IE and it works. Went back to Firefox and Chrome, and it does not work. But the interesting thing is a friend tried his blackberry on my computer and it works fine in Firefox.

  EDIT: I found the problem, I deleted the App World Plugin from my computer and reinstalled Firefox and it works. Why it does not detect that I use a plugin obsolete?

  Anyway, problem solved.

  I have a blackberry 9800 torch and thos morning I updated Blackberry app world for the new version 4.0.0.63. And after restarting App world disappeared. So I can't update, ordered or marsupium requests!  do you have any solutions for my problem? Thank you very much!

  Can anyone ease my mind? I received a text informing I needed to upgrade my Blackberry Apps World and had to create a user ID. Later in the process he advised that I should give my paypal password and that your future purchases would not speak based on the new blackberry and password. He gave me the opportunity to accept it as the only way to adjust th Apps World in the future.  I was suspicious but not able to contact Blackberry to check that it was a formal request.  Stupidly, I enter my paypal password, which she said was not valid and that I could enter payment details later. I came out of the site then tried to come back using the new id and basically apps world froze with a banner saying authentication and a symbol of locking up.  I changed the phone market but he continued to show the same thing.  Once a few more attempts with the same result, I took out the battery and then tried again.   If you encounter a problem with the version of BlackBerry World, then download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best solution now available for BlackBerry World, first uninstall any existing version of the BlackBerry World from your device, options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry World, then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

• BlackBerry App Blackberry app world Z10 does not

  Since the last version of the software to update, Blackberry App world on my phone will not work.  I open it and it tries to load but never beyond this stage.  I pulled the battery to see if it can help, but still no luck.  I can't remove it because it is part of the new OS 10.  Any information would be appreciated.

  I try to install App World on a BB9300 Simulator. I open the web browser and follow appworld.blackberry.com OTA installation and the application installs fine. However, when I go to run it, I get the message:

  What is the exact error?

  Things to try:

  Clear Cache BlackBerry World

  Reset

  Warm reboot

  If you use the wifi try mobile, or vice versa

  If none of the above solves the problem, the error message can give you something to go.

  I had this problem for about a month now, whenever I try to access the app store, I get the same error (there was a connection error, shut down blackberry app world). I tried everything to an erasure of data on my phone, to battery pull. I've also updated for BlackBerry 10 most recent operating system. I looked on the Internet and cannot find any solution. Is this just what happens to me, or is there a problem with the actuall BlackBerry app world.

  Have you tried your App World when you're connected to WiFi, or vice versa, not connected to Wifi.

  Sometimes, which will solve the problem.
