  I don't want to step on the toes of Boomer56, but you have been unanswered for six hours, so I'll take a shot at it.

  If you connect your phone to your PC and open the Desktop Manager, you can reload your current operating system from there.  Firstly, open Desktop Manager and do a backup of your phone.  Once it is done, click the device in the upper part of the DM and update the menu drop down.  You could say that your phone is up to date.  At the bottom of this box, it will show view other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version is the one that is checked.  Keep it checked, and then click Update.  This is going to re - install your current operating system, as well as all the bells and whistles with which it came.

  I suggest the following:

  (1) registry HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

  (2) Service reference books

  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Hi, I got a curve 8520 and tried to synchronize it with the Desktop Manager (mac osx snow leopard 32bits) but the computer does not recognize it (not even as peripheral mass storage), usb sockets are fine, given that the phone is charging and be detected by windows as a blackberry smartphone in analogies.

As I was intending to buy me a 8520 I looked through internet, information on the homepage of the Blackberry and wondering why there is no mention of mp3 files to listen to on the media player.   I woke up yesterday morning and the balckberry was off and not turn on after that I pushed down on the button. So I loaded for some time, and yet, it wouldn't turn on. Then I took off the charge it, took out the battery, put the battery back and it restarts. The loading bar went well in the end, and my ISP logo appeared. And that's when he stopped loading.
