BlackBerry email setup for Blackberry storm 9550 smartphones

I just got the phone Blackberry storm 9550 unlocked, I bought this phone from verizon wireless, but I use another SIM card to travel around the world, the phone works fine, but I can not configure the e-mail account, system, I cannot set up the e-mail account.

When I select an email option, the system will ask provide me my Enterprise activation password, I do not know how to get the password, also, I want to just only use personal mailbox, do not want to use the address of the company.

so is there anyone who can tell me how to solve this problem.

To use the exclusive services of BB (including the ability to Push email, BBM, etc), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan.     I recently picked up a blackberry storm 9530, who has been sitting on the counter for about 5 months and decided that I wanted to use it. I got it all together upward through my carrier (Verizon) and it has been working perfectly for the last 2 weeks. However, today, I tried to update the software version of the device with the Blackberry Desktop Software and something happened. The update process was almost complete and he got in a process that says something like "Reconnecting to JVM" or something like that. Then another window pops up saying them was a mistake with the AppLoader or something and he said to disconnect and reconnect my device and then click Retry. I did about 3 times before I decided that it wasn't going to work and clicked on the Cancel button and abandoned the update. Now my phone won't turn properly. whenever I press the power button all the buttons on the bottom will be light and then the LED on top lights up red for a while, then the light turns off and the keys will blink again, and then the light, ect ect. Sometimes when I press the power button and leave it alone for a bit the flashing stops and the screen will remain black but the little loading symbol, but nothing will happen. At the moment he made the small thing of loading for about 30-40 minutes of solids and nothing happens. I read a few other posts and all the other problems seem to be resolved by the connection to the computer and fixing one way or another using the Blackberry Desktop Software, however when I plug my Berry in my computer it is not yet recognized as a device because it is busy to restart or what he does.     It's very disappointing that the new blackberry storm has no wi fi ability to connect up to your access point W private surf top DSL speed.  GPRS is simply too slow.

    Newbie here again. I had the storm for about a week and get used to it. I have 2 questions.

    1. in the navigation and trying to open things like videos from Youtube or even images or files, it says I don't have the right media player or an older version. Why this new storm would not good programs and what can I do?

    2. my Office Manager told me news updates for the storm when they are available or what to get them? I already had to buy an app to give me 1 minute on the pages and texts alerts.

    Any advice on navigation and better downloads would be appreciated.

    Thnks I missed the. in the m.youtube. I tried it and it works perfect thank you. Yes my DM is defined for updates so I guess I don't hunt it down from my provider updates and assume that my device is refreshed when it is available.  There are of course many little "quirks" with this phone... had some problems with the gel, but found this to be due to applications running in the background... strange that the Red Quit button is not close the program.

    Okay, so I recently decided not to continue my service with Verizon and I use T mobile with my unlocked 2 9550 Storm.  Phone works fine, the problem is that my wifi is not connecting.  He picks up my connetion, says its connected under Advanced options, etc. To connection management screen, it displays the name of the router in green, but it has a grey dashboard next to her.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Yes, WiFi is usable and functioning without data plan... for the HotSpot browser and some applications of third party like Pandora Radio, etc, but NOT for such BBMaps, BBMessenger, push email RIM BlackBerry data services, etc.

  • Setup Gmail 'Ideal' blackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphones

    My wife and I recently received from Storm 9530 with Verizon service.  Both of us are using Gmail accounts as our single e-mail account on the BB.  The Verizon store put up our Gmail accounts through the e-mail option main/standard BB (BES/BIS?), but I use Gmail extensively and use filters, labels, contacts and see thread regularly, so I was not happy with the way it has been implemented.  Not to mention I want two-way syncing between my handheld and your computer, which AFAIK is available through the App (?) of Gmail.  I downloaded the Gmail app on both devices, that satisfies me with the exception of a few issues/questions:

    (1) on my phone, I get notifications of new emails (both tone and the new icon of Visual message), but the phone my wife warns no new messages unless it refreshes.  As far as I can tell, I have set them up with the same settings.  No idea what could be the cause of his is not for him to new messages?

    (2) sometimes, it seems that my notification comes close in real time, but other times it seems to last 20 minutes for the notification to arrive?  I read somewhere that the delay in delivery is a problem with the Gmail app, but that was almost of a post on the forum about a year ago.  Is this always the case?

    Here is my questions, but if someone has a better way to achieve two-way synchronization, complete the Gmail features and real-time notification on the handheld, I'd love to hear it (nearby).

    I apologize if this is the ten thousandth time these questions have been asked, however in the search for the huge amount of Blackberry/Gmail web discussions I couldn't find my exact issues or good solutions for them.

    For about a month I received Voice Mail alert hours, days, or sometimes not at all (and find that several messages rates graft in VM). I don't know if it's a matter of BlackBerry, or if I need to contact Verizon Wireless.

    It seems to happen when I'm using the email or online, and I have no idea that there is an incoming call (often more important than what I do).  Yesterday, I received a call at 8:30 and got a new warning at 14:20 it was a call from important business.  This happened several times lately.  What I need to change a setting on my camera, or...?  I've had the phone for almost two years, and it is a relatively new problem.

    Whatever the root cause of the problem, your only formal channel for support is done by VZW. They are responsible for all of your formal support and will degenerate case RIM if they can't solve it.

    But VM services are all part of your telephone services; they are not related to your services at the level of the BB. To contact the Association would remain the appropriate path. However, as a customer of the previous Association, I can attest that too often VM notifications go all wobbly with them.

  • BlackBerry Storm 9500 Smartphone email delivery problem

    I have 2 emails separated, put in place and the rate of normal delivery any where between Instant up to 25 minutes after the email was delivered to my PC. Now, I realize it would have something to do with the servers either my ISP or phone provider. This isn't my problem.

    Over the past two days my email is only delivered to my storm if I turn the unit off and then back on. I rebooted my phone by removing the battery and giving him a clean place, but nothing seems to help. I did not change any settings on the PC (outlook 7) or on my BB.

    Can anyone suggest some possible causes and especially a solution?

    You may simply return your service books.  You can do this by opening the settings of mail electronics (in the installation folder), connection, then press the BB Menu and select the Service of books from the menu.  You can then send your service books from there.  That should help him.

    Hi, my first post so sorry if already in the forum somewhere else.  He analyzed briefly but couldn't find anything.

    My legacy calendar has all the calendar information that has previously been synchronization of Outlook.  My Outlook calendar for some reason any is now empty apart from 2 recent entries.  I don't know how it happened.

    When I plug in Desktop Manager to synchronize, it does not pick up all the entries in calendar on the device and to replicate in Outlook.

    I'm not technical at all, but all the I can think is that he appears to have happened after upgrade to Manager V5 last week and on the device, I noticed that all the entries that are not are in device calendar rather than one associated with my email address.

    If I add an entry on my device and synchronization of Outlook, it seems to work, so I think that its something to do with the 'old' stuff being labeled as the device calendar - does not know how it would have been reclassified, however, or how to get back so it syncs.

    My first Blackberry, it's a Storm 9530, and everything seems as it should be-except that it will completely die during calls. Not all the time, but most of the time. (about 4 to 5 times)

    Sometimes I hear a noise from the Bzzz electronic, then the red light comes on, I think I can see an error screen (briefly - not backlit)-then a white screen, then a small clock-face, then the start of Blackberry screen and the loading bar. Takes a few minutes to load, then it's as if nothing happened - until I make the next call.

    I have the Blackberry Desktop Manager on my Macbook. Tells me that newer software is available - but never successfully downloading it, often crashing out of it during the relief phase. The same software on my Windows PC won't even find my phone (even if it appears in the my computer window).

    I read in some messages in the forum, but did not find any problems.

    Here's the bad news: Yes, I bought it on ebay!  Unused and unlocked. I accept full responsibility for my actions! Oh!

    I'm in the United Kingdom using a Virgin SIM card. I realize this will give me limited use BB facilities - but, quite frankly, at this point even end a call would be a joy!

    It comes with a 12 month warranty, but before I send again, I thought I'd post on the forum in case it was a problem with an easy solution. Or any patch.

    Well, I'm not really a superstitious person - but I hesitate to hit the solved button in case I have any jinx.

    But it seems that the software update has resolved the problem. So far, so good, anyway. Phone has not stopped since the update.

    Think I'll wait one more day, do a little more of screams and then click resolve.

    On a different note, which can be of interest for all Virgin UK customers: Virgin were to launch their friendly service of BB on January 4 this year, but it has been delayed. Currently, they only provide service BB for the curve and the torch (that they provide on contract). The new service would be welcome all BB phones which users on their own and use the Virgin fare. This year, the latest schedule come into force this service is end of February / beginning of March.

    I cross my fingers. So far, I have a smartphone that can be used for phone calls and texts! Tried to go back to my old Sony Ericsson - at least I could send and receive MMS.

    In Blackberry Messenger, the keyboard does not appear on the Storm 2.
