BlackBerry IMEI numbers

Hello

I was invited to address a problem in our product to treat the IMEI numbers that are greater than 15 characters. The problem is that I can't find all the models who supported a greater number IMEI. Anyone know of all these models? I'll be able to download a simulator and test it. Currently, I'm testing on a 8310 Simulator that is cutting 5 digits (I started with a 20 digit IMEI).

Bravo for confirming that. They be confusing the IMEI with something else.

  • Blocking blackBerry Smartphones numbers

    Hello

fairly new for me but I try on my 8900 curve to make calls on my phone, he keeps asking passwrd which I do not have any idea on and my as contact blackberry service provider?

Can someone give me info on how to find out what the password is for me to enter calls

    See you soon

Call blocking, or call prohibition, is a service of your operator, and this feature is enabled by your carrier - no BlackBerry. It is not a part or the BlackBerry operating system. Then... look forward to you give evasive answers, but you have to call your carrier to question on that.

In addition, if they tell you you must contact "BlackBerry", then you aske them to transfer or to aggravate your call up to level RIM tech support they can do. Don't let them refuse.

  • Changing the Smartphones from blackBerry Imei /pin

Hi guys, question, did my pin code will be automatically released on the change device? I have a new curve and already changed my device and im selling my old alone makes my old PIN already released on the BIS to change device? Thank you!!

If you can, call your service provider and request the release of old PIN, they can send an e-mail with the official version, so you can deliver the mail to the next owner.

  • HTML of Smartphones from blackBerry eMail no longer works after change of 8100 to 8310

    Hi all

I have a 8100 Pearl, which I've upgraded to version 4.5. Then I could receive and read emails in HTML, very nice.

Now, I got a Curve 8310 which I also upgraded to 4.5 support HTML eMail. As an ENCORE, I changed the code PIN and IMEI numbers and the new device has been saved.

Now when I put E-mail HTML format and receive an HTML eMail, it only shows a few lines (in nice new HTML) or even nothing and a hint that more data is available with the number of bytes left. If I choose the option 'More' on the device, data transfer starts, showing the curve gets more data. Then the watch plus-donnees-Hint that only more a byte is available, but the message is always the same, showing only the first lines or even nothing. Repeating data more does not help. Seems that the device has a problem, the analysis of the data.

    What I tried:

    -Hard reset of the device

    -Remove all the service books

    -Return the BIS service directories

    -Enable/disable HTML mail on device

    None of these permits.

Network is German Vodafone. Both devices (Pearl and Curve), run the Vodafone software.

By the way: if I switch to text mode, I see the entire message, but of course not formatted in the older format. Switched back to HTML shows only a part of the message or nothing.

Does anyone have an idea what's past? Or who should I contact? There is no line of support for prisoners on the blackberry site.

    Thanks in advance.

    Joerg.

You cannot delete the entire account, e-mail accounts just BIS.

In this order, after the deletion, also delete the service on your BB books.

Restart the BB, (battery, replacement and reset).

Look at and confirm that the SBs have disappeared.

Now, reset the BIS email accounts and send the SBs again if necessary.

You should get the new registration on the BB messages... and you may need to perform a reboot of bpull of battery again.

This process, in that order, make sure you get the NEW books service, rather than simply write on 'old'.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry "BOLD" and Tmobile Service

I use Blackberry "BOLD" T-Mobile service.  I have the BES data package which includes BIS.  My email Enterprise BES, browser, sync with Exchange server, contacts, calendar, everything works.

Except that... my BIS email setup.  I tried BB device logging to create email. Email Setup Wizard, select "I want to create or add an email address" I get error - we apologize there was an error while trying to access the service.

I also tried logging on my T-Mobile account and click on the web link: e-mail setting blackberry; to create ([email protected]) whenever I click on the link create e-mail blackberry in my T-Mobile account, it gives me an error: we're sorry, there was an error while trying to access the service.

I called T-Mobile repeatedly and the lame excuse they use is: this device is not supported. I said T-Mobile uses the Blackberry 8220 flip phone with using the same OS 4.6, Javalin BB, and BB 8900 use the same service books.  When I call the Blackberry technical support... they spend on the male for T-Mobile.

Is anyone out there using BB Bold with service from T-Mobile with BES/BIS and their professional and personal internet e-mail: works on the "BOLD" BB.  Ideas, thoughts, suggestions and help will be very appreciated.

I hope that someone will be able to solve this problem!

Thanks to JSanders and Urumilton to help.  The matter is now resolved.

That's what I did.  I took a job my friend T-Mobile 8220, inserted my sim card, connected on T-Mobile and changed the code PIN and IMEI numbers. Blackberry Internet e-mail configuration.  Then return the SIM from my phone is connected to the Tmo Blackberry "BOLD" account and changed the code PIN and IMEI numbers.  Now everything including internet blackberry email and Enterprise BES email works well.

One last question... [email protected] what is the reason for the creation of this email?  Given that you can directly add your existing accounts for gmail, yahoo, or comcast etc..  Why should one create this email? [email protected]

    Appreciate all your responses

You're welcome... glad it works for you.

There is really no reason to get one of these address of @carrier.blackberry.net. They are not visible on any other webmail site and are prone to collect spam, with no available spam filtering options. I advise users to not use it.

However, why some? Because they can. Some users use these addresses to transfer mail from a POP account as these addresses grow instantly by the RIM servers.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is my renovated 8120 one false, it is not wrong to looks, but provider cannot do the work!

    Hello community,

Bought a Pearl 8120 for my wife. I thought it was a refurbisehd one.

Calls and receives OK, accepted new themes, etc. Even browse the web!

Thing is that it's always with "gprs" in lowercase letters instead of caps "GPRS".

The wife subscribed mail Vodafone BB plan, and then started badly.

Vodafone now says it's not a real BB.

Y at - it a database where I can check the PIN/IMEI numbers on my device?

all inside stickers (even the made in Hungary) authentic look and the IMEI /PIN on the stickers match the software.

Seller told to request a new PIN for the provider! is this possible?

    Thanks to you all.

    Mike

Mike, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

The device PIN is assigned to every BlackBerry and can not be changed or varied. It is hardcoded for each device. Without getting a new one, unless you get a new device. Seller is stupid.

So do: call your carrier and have them climb your call to a RIM tech support specialist. Asked specifically IF your PIN and IMEI code have been suspended or banned. It is made for devices reported lost or stolen. If this is the case, you cannot resume it.

At this point, you should return your device to the seller and get your money back as a non-working device. Because it is not.

  • IMEI number and series?

I'd like to understand why a phone has both an IMEI number and also a serial number please? What is the purpose of having two unique numbers for a phone?

All phones have IMEI numbers. They are the number used by the carrier to connect the device to their network (as well as the SIM card in the case of phones that use SIM cards). The serial number, just like the serial number for any piece of hardware, a way for the manufacturer to track the device. Apple could use just the IMEI instead of a serial number? Perhaps. But it is not as if having two numbers takes up extra space or anything like that.

  • I can blacklist my imei no deativating service ATT

Hello my gf left his phone in a bar and he was disabled in a period of 30 min so I don't think that the person intends to return. The phone didn't come online yet, but I want to black list and it would be difficult for them to sell. I also want to maintain the service on this subject for a while in case a person turns back on I can locate it. I can blacklist the phone without disabling the service of data on it?

    Thank you

It is a question only AT & T can answer.  Only carriers can blacklist the imei numbers.

However, as indicated a blacklist by cellular service definition can not be attached to a device with the specified imei number, I guess it's possible to G'nort, but only AT & T can tell you exactly.

  • New G4 active there are based on Motorola one month auditor of IMEI security

Just got a brand new motorcycle G4 of Amazon UK, but when I look to the top of its warranty status here http://www.imeipro.info/check_motorola.html it is said that it has been activated on 26 July 2016, i.e. one month! Now, it also shows a manufacturing date: July 27, 2016 then the tool indicates that could there be some confusion in the news?

Has anyone used this tool? Thank you!

You use one tool OTHER than motorola to perform the audit. So yes, there is confusion, but it's with the tool. The tool demonstrated when blocks of IMEI numbers are recorded. This 3rd party company is just making assumptions.

Your warranty is with Motorola - not the site to check IMEI - and the warranty is from time of purchase.

Your receipt, that's what counts. And any date IMEI you see things really is indicative and no longer be bound to make the date then date guarantee. After all, a site part 3 cannot know when the phone was sold and the warranty began. But the IMEI does not give them any idea when the phone was manufactured.

You have a phone dual sim, which means that there are two imei. For your profile, it is best for just the first IMEI because it is essentially the master. If you use is not a second sim, you can safely ignore the second IMEI.

  • Smartphones blackBerry 8520 stolen :(

    Hi friends –

My son lost his BB 8520.

Obviously, the SIM having been deleted, it cannot be contacted at bbprotect. Question - if the thief tries to re - register this device, he will succeed it indicates the PIN code is already registered to a different e-mail ID?

    Thank you!

    Sofia wrote:

Well - thank you! Learn how service providers work, I doubt if a 'block' would be really effective. And in any case, it could be re-recorded with a different service provider.

    Hello rajam

You must contact your carrier first, if they managed to block or blacklist this device PIN and IMEI numbers, then this particular device may not be registered with any other Provider.that Service for sure.

    Sofia wrote:

My question was more whether, if the same device can be re-recorded with different email id if I release the Unit flew with mail association electronic id provided.

If you are unable to block this device then yes it can! As I said earlier, if he do a Serurity wipe and put it back to the factory setting so it will be able to associate a different email with this device identification.

So all you need to do now is to contact your carrier or it Service provider know if they can block or blacklist this device PIN and IMEI No.
