Blocking blackBerry Smartphones numbers

Hello

fairly new for me but I try on my 8900 curve to make calls on my phone, he keeps asking passwrd which I do not have any idea on and my as contact blackberry service provider?

Can someone give me info on how to find out what the password is for me to enter calls

See you soon

Call blocking, or call prohibition, is a service of your operator, and this feature is enabled by your carrier - no BlackBerry. It is not a part or the BlackBerry operating system. Then... look forward to you give evasive answers, but you have to call your carrier to question on that.

In addition, if they tell you you must contact "BlackBerry", then you aske them to transfer or to aggravate your call up to level RIM tech support they can do. Don't let them refuse.

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

  • BlackBerry smartphones block phone numbers

Does anyone know if the bb 8320 block certain phone numbers, 800 # s or any number?

    TY!

Salvation and welocome on the forums! There is no option on the BB which will allow that. Your carrier will have a call. You can have your carrier block these numbers. There is a free app called ICALLmanager that I use. It allows you to blacklist numbers, numbers unknown to send directly to VM, allows calls only from your address book and a do not disturb option where all calls are sent to the virtual computer. Here is the link for Icall http://www.i-softwarelabs.com/icml.html I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions. If this isn't the case, please take a few minutes to solve this thread using the options of the Kudo star. Thank you!

  • ID blocked BB blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I tried to access my world of bb in vain, because my bb ID is blocked. I tried several times to ecover, but system kept sending the password on the account that I can't get access.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I have a BB 8520 curve

Thank you much for the help

    Hello

For security reasons, password reset emails never reach the BB itself. So, you need to separate access to this email account to receive and treat the password reset.

If you used the e-mail account is also available (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.), and then simply use a browser/PC and their webmail interface.

If the email account you used is only accessible through the BB (hosted @carrier, @bb, etc.), then you need to apply a rule to redirect on that account so that you can receive email elsewhere (for example, GMail, Yahoo, etc.):

    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address

If you really have no way to access this email account, or if the e-mail account has been deleted, then you are stuck... and must make a decision...

If you have no AppWorld or other files that you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

    • Be sure to check the link in my sig auto on this post... you need to be sure you have a good local backup on a computer
    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

If you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your purchase records BBID/AppWorld prerequisites.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blocked Facebook application

I bought the Blackberry Torch 9800 in my company. The Facebook application is blocked, a message as follows:

"This application have been blocked by your administrator of business system. Contact your system administrator for more information."

You would be able to help me unlocked so that I can used the Facebook via wifi.

Hello and welcome to the community!

If your BB is still enabled on your business system, you must talk to your BES admins... they apply this block through BES IT policy.

If you want to say that you are separate from your company and no longer use their services, then their BES admins does not correctly clean your device when they gave it to you. In this case, you need this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

You must of course a full backup first, the instructions for which you can find in my auto-sig on this post. But when you restore, make sure you DON'T make a full restore... just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.), especially avoiding any database that have nothing to with politics COMPUTER, company, etc.. If you do not restore those, you find yourself right back where you are now, because who will dutifully restore politics to the TI back to your BB.

  • BlackBerry smartphone App Inaccessible World - Error Message "App World has been blocked"

    Dear all,

I recently bought one of mark Sprint Blackberry Curve 9350 (in excellent condition) on Amazon, and the phone is fully functional, except that whenever I try to access the Blackberry App World I get a pop-up message reading "App World has been blocked".

At first, when I changed my line of Sprint prior to my new curve, the phone has completely wiped and reset.  I started to use the various functions and only a few days later, realized that I can't access App World.  I talk to several representatives of Sprint and in the few days has taken the following steps, all without success:

    Uninstalled and reinstalled App World

Do you have a Batt pull with the phone on, uninstalled and reinstalled App World and made another Batt-sweater

Addict connected the phone to my laptop computer and uninstalled App World via Blackberry Desktop Manager

As I bought the phone on Amazon, I do not think the guaranteed protection applies.  However, it seems incongruous that all other applications and the phone features work, with the exception of the App World.

Could someone please suggest measures to address the problem and to App World accessible?

Also, could someone please advise if I can bypass the App World app and install Blackberry apps on the curve directly through the Blackberry Desktop Manager and, if so, what steps are?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Colby

    Hello

From this description, I suspect that a latent policy is on your BB that blocks AW. Normally, the error message would say more than that you reported and would be more indicative... but it's I think of what you have provided.

To clean, you have actually several things you need to do... from checking to see if it is indeed the case:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Unfortunately, there are also a few situations with 'stealth' COMPUTER strategies that exist, but are not actually display as per the above. Again, the complete error message may have provided a better hint this topic.

However, I think you need to take steps in any case, especially in light of your method of supply. Reference:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

Although it may look as if someone has or do you a lot of that, I think you need to see it again to be sure. None of these methods to WIPE would actually have relatively far BB COMPUTING policy. Instead, you must run the ResetToFactory process, which I recommend you do instead of (or in addition to) the WIPE which recommends the KB:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

In addition, you must be careful if you have already placed on the BB data that you need to maintain. You can backup/restore your device before and after these wipes, but you must be careful when you restore... don't do a full restore or you will simply put the return policy on board IT again. On the contrary, do a selective restore only the databases that you need and be 100% sure to avoid any database which have nothing to do with politics:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

Finally... given this situation, it is quite possible that there are additional challenges with this specific BB. For example, if the BRI account is locked due to the BB being previously reported as lost or stolen, nothing don't you can do about it, and you will never be able to have all the services. But Orange should definitely be able to tell if that is the case.

    cbhjenkins wrote:

    These methods exist:

    • KB14473 How to install an application on a smart phone BlackBerry with the BlackBerry Desktop Software
    • KB04670 Install a third-party application with the Application Loader
    • KB28715 How to install BlackBerry App World applications, using a computer system

However, there is no way of knowing if the it policy will also block these methods.

Good luck and let us know!

    Hello epiczizi

I guess you gave BlackBerry plan / BIS already on your account, otherwise you call carrier to turn that on and it your current problems with BBM7.

If you already have this (BIS) on your account so you can try that to see if that helps. First of all on your home screen, go to Options > Application > delete BlackBerry Messenger in the list

KB10040  : How to display or remove installed application on a blackberry smartphone

Perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered. Wait a minimum then reinsert back. Your device can take a long restart.

Finally, from your BlackBerry browser go to www.blackberry.com/bbm to download the recent version of BBM available for your device. After you have installed your device may restart and associate with your BlackBerry ID.

BB doesn't have these services to block a specific incoming call. If you want you can use an application called Advanced Call Blocker to block incoming calls various. I'll send you the link in case you need to download the application.

  • Unlocking blackBerry Smartphones 8830 World Edition GSM and code provider

    Hello

I'm a guy unsavvy tech and have an 8830 World Edition phone. Bought this from Auntie Indicom (Vendor ID: 269), a CDMA operator which also provided a GSM SIM for only international roaming. Last month, number portability Mobile came into India, and I went to a GSM provider, Vodafone India. After the transfer of numbers, simply inserted the new Vodafone SIM and the phone and Blackberry services are working well with the new operator. Two questions:

    1. from the Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options, after typing MEPD, I see:

    ID: a large number

    Customization:

    Disabled SIM

    Active network

    Network subset disabled

    Service Provider disabled

    People with reduced mobility

Does this mean that my Blackberry is locked? If Yes, is it blocked by Vodafone? Given that I have moved the Auntie service provider Vodafone and does not seem to wear the same number on the same phone, aunt locked the phone.

    2. type Alt-EACE, I always see the Vendor ID 269 (Auntie). See also the logo of Auntie initially upwards. Is it possible that I can change the ID of the seller or at least stop getting the start screen for the old vendor? This ID Vendo has something to do with the above-mentioned lock?

Would be very grateful if some kind soul illuminates.

    Thank you

There must be something different on a BB WE that allows the use of other SIMs, though always stuck at home carrier. Odd, but your experience proves the theory. I seriously doubt that release will make a difference, but certainly to try I guess.

I don't know why your BB is as you describe... but, I want to propose the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried. However, you want to be careful here. I don't know how you originally got your BB running services on your current operator. All BB services are controlled by the Service books. If a carrier does not natively support a BB model on their network, there are a few things that need to be taken to get these SBs on than non-native BB. If only it had to do, don't go here... you could just wipe out all your services level of BB. But if none of these tricks are required (which would mean that your carrier supports natively your BB model), then you should be safe to go ahead.

Steps 1 and 2 each should translate into a message to your BB to come:

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Maybe it will make a difference. I really do not know about you, to be honest. It's a tricky business, and you can well serve just as well by getting a new BB you get from your carrier... which by the way, you would have at least that the formal support at your disposal channel.

    Good luck!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.
