BlackBerry Leap Leap battery suddenly draining power VERY quickly

I bought a new blackberry leap July 26.

The battery has been fantastic since acquisition - was very impressed - get home at the end of the day and it is still about 60 percent, could still squeeze a second day without recharging at night, if I do not use too much the next day.

Suddenly, last Sunday (August 9), he began to drain the battery like crazy... and I was not still use it.  I did work in my house and my phone was sitting in the kitchen and I heard the notification that he had devoted to the battery in watch mode in early afternoon (after being fully charged when I woke up in the morning).

Since then, (yesterday and today too), he's bleeding like crazy.

I have fully charged it last night, it is now 1:30 and I woke up at 7:00, and is at 29% left battery power.

I haven't added new applications or do something different since Sunday.

When I go to "battery use" in the settings, it shows that the 'system' is with 51%.  The next most high is "Standby" 9.9%, then view at 3.4 percent.

Any help/suggestions?    I was so impressed by the battery until 3 days ago!

The software is 10.3.2.2168 (and I've not being updated since the day wherever I bought it when I did a software update).

Thank you!

I wanted to give you an update...

No idea why / that that has happened, I have nothing else...

But when I connected again load after the validation, I noticed it drains more and had returned to the battery usage screen showing 1 + days of use and usage of the system went down at 0.86%, with display currently th ehighest at 1%.

Anyway, the good news is that it is fixed, of course, the bad news is don't know why it happened, or how he slipped, therefore keep your fingers crossed it doesn't happen.

Maybe just posting here is the magical solution!

24 hours use on charge a battery is not bad. You have probably another unnecessary application running in the background, you are moving in and out of the area of WiFi access and the same area of the network, depending on your location, which drains your battery more quickly.

While you use only 10 to 25 minutes, the device is on and running, regardless.

It is recommended that you NOT drain the battery in 5-10%, but top it off when you get a chance during the day.

Talk time of each call, this month? Total for the history of the device BlackBerry itself?

my battery drains very quickly even when not in service, what should I do to fix that?

    Hello rabeeha hafeez robi.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding that your iPhone battery has been draining more than expected. I use my iPhone all day, so I know how important the battery life can be. Surely, I understand your concern, as much as it seems as if the phone is not in use.

First, I recommend that you check your settings to see what is using your battery life. You can do this by going to settings > battery. In some cases substantive activity of the app may affect the battery life. This means that the battery is used by an application while it is in the background. • BlackBerry 10 Z10 battery drains 2 times faster after OS upgraded to 10.2.1.3062 10 Nov/14 software version

Z10 battery drains 2 times faster after OS upgraded to 10.2.1.3062 10 Nov/14 software version (OS version is now at 3442). I use to charge my phone once every 4 days, but now I need to load every 2 days.

I use no Bluetooth, no WIFI, have no applications running, no text and no phone call. Emails only 2 or 3 per day. Display says battery system 22% use, standby 7%, PIM 3%, home of screen display of 2%, 1%, and the rest are less then. 1%. I need to know what service or feature that turned on the update of the software so that I can turn it off.

I ran a few tests and one of them was to turn on my WiFi. This reduces the rate of use of battery significantly drain (I would have thought would have increased with WiFi on battery drain). After the execution of WiFi for a day I shut it off and my battery usage seems to be back to what I had before the upgrade of the OS. I rebooted on Sunday afternoon, it's now Tuesday night and I'm only up to 63% and the unit figures monitor I have 2 more days still to go. Yes, problem solved by running WiFi for a day. Go figure.

  • That's why my macbook pro battery drains much more quickly than in the past?

The life of the battery of my (end 2013) 13 "MacBook Pro (OS 10.10.5) decreased a lot, very quickly, in the past months. There are 390/100 amount remaining fresh and the State of the battery is 'normal '. I do not leave the appliance plugged, "over" charge for long periods of time. I drained the battery fully before recharging for a full charge. Although wifi is usually left on; Bluetooth is usually disabled. I am running the same programs I ran for years.

Meanwhile, the battery for this machine seems to have declined precipitously.

I hope that others can offer advice on how to evaluate what is happening and what (if any) can do to improve the life of the battery.

I drained the battery fully before recharging for a full charge

This isn't a recommended service action. It can damage the battery if done repeatedly. I charge when mine gets below 20%.

You can't damage the battery by leaving the charger plugged in for long periods. There is overload protection very intelligent integrated in the battery and power on the computer systems.

A reduction of RUNTIME† is often a software problem. This Apple article is excellent to determine if this is the case and how to address the issue:

Apps can affect the performance of Mac, battery, temperature and fan activity - Apple Support

† - the battery life is time, usually years, before the batery fails and must be replaced; battery life is how many hours the pathophysiological dough power the computer before requiring a recharge.

  • Brand-new Satellite P L50-B-1 1 - battery draining far too quickly?

Bought a 1 P L50-B-1 Satellite less than two weeks ago, but over the past few days I noticed the battery seems to be draining very quickly as a couple. The icon will say I left hours, but the percentage will drop quickly regardless of this.

I noticed that this happens with other laptops in the past, but that usually comes after years of use, not a few weeks.

I would have ordinarily used my warranty to communicate with the seller and ask them to provide me with a new battery, but the battery in this laptop is integrated, which I've never had to deal with and so I'm not quite sure what I should do.

(if it helps, I have always used a balanced diet plan. I sometimes play games that are on the more intensive things I do on this subject, and sometimes I keep the laptop through that. But once I do not see how my use could have seriously damaged the battery so fast)

How long can you run the laptop with the energy of the battery until the battery is empty?
According to Toshiba (Mobile Mark 2012) the laptop must turn round up to 6 hours battery only.

Of course, it depends on more or less of the use of the laptop and power settings, but I guess it's a useful reference value.

In case your battery does not properly load, I would recommend you contact service center to check the battery for a possible malfunction

  • Satellite Pro A10: battery discharged very quickly

I had the laptop for about 2 years and it has been very good. But in recent weeks the battery (when not on power) discharge VERY quickly (in a minute or two) as soon as any disk activity takes place. I guess it must be the battery, but I noticed recently that even after being in power for several hours while I had used widely, he showed he was still that 90% of charge.

I am aware that recharge the battery too frequently can cause the battery be reduced significantly but I made a point to let him unload frequently to try to avoid this.

    This one any sense?

    Thank you
    PEB

    Hello

The fact is that you can charge and discharge the battery about 500 times. After this period, only the battery loses performance and you need to replace.
The battery is covering 1 year warranty.
Increased time battery life it s recommended to remove the battery if the power adapter is plugged.

In your case, I think the battery is dead, and if you want to use the laptop with the battery you need to replace.

  • Am I right in thinking if a draining power completely, it will be safe to store?

As on another thread, we have a dead ipod that was rarely used, but for the holidays. New Ipod bought yesterday and now go on holiday after a few problems with Win XP and the new material and again find itunes.

The dead Ipod looks like that the battery will not hold a charge. It works flawlessly when it's plugged in but just flashes on then market back when disconnected. He was left with a full load of close since April have not been used. It is now a paper weight. I'd stick to one of the cars on the sticks of memory, but they are expensive to have windows replaced if anyone seen an ipod left inside.

So with retune a new in a straight week of holidays I think if a draining power completely, it will be safe to store?

As on another thread, we have a dead ipod that was rarely used, but for the holidays. New Ipod bought yesterday and now go on holiday after a few problems with Win XP and the new material and again find itunes.

Its not needed or wanted for something but on vacation although I understand daily use is better as my trusty old I phone. I just think on next holiday comes my sister can give me his ipod to add any music she bought and it will work as expected again.

No, certainly do not store the machine with a dead battery. This behavior is detrimental to the long-term life of a modern Lithium battery.
