  I'm new to the fourm, and I found a lot of useful information from you guys here who really helped me with my blackberry bold 9700.

  One problem I have is that when I downloaded the facebook app on my phone it never allow me to log in. I get the error message "cannot connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact your support provider.

  The second problem is that my blackberry Messenger does not work for some reason when I add a person, it will add to my friends phone however will not register on mine it just stays in the pending contacts section.

  Please can someone help, it would be much appreciated.

  I am trying to create the object of class BBMPlatformApplication as follows

  and try to save it:

  I create an object of this class and simply try to regisiter using:

  platformContext = BBMPlatformManager.register (bbmPlugin);

  But the meothod of registry, the 9800 Simulator, to 6.0.0 platform, just hangs and gives an error dialog box:

  After that I also dismiss the dialog box, the Simulator disappears from the display.

  What is going on?

  What is happening with all the codes of the sample as well as BBMSdkDemo of the RIM.

  It turns out that there is an IllegalArgumentException in another part of my code.

  But this code was not serious.

  And also I needed to upgrade from version 5.0 to 6.0 blackberry Messenger blackberry app world.

• Bluetooth blackBerry 8520 Smartphone problems

  Just got my phone today and it's very nice.

  Unfortunately, I can't get all the files from my two existing phones to transfer via bluetooth. I just get a file error message of transfer on my old phones without further explanation. I paired the up has accepted the passwords, disabled the encryption but nothing, I even sent a picture of my blackberry to an existing phone that went well and I tried to send the file back, but it will just not work.

  This is the KB with the instructions for the transfer of things via BT... It's more complicated that you have documented:

  • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

  While the article is written for the transfer between two BB, simply replace the instructions appropriate for your non - BB device to place the steps in the KB of the transmitter unit. But you must perform the steps on the BB receiver before the opening to send it on the other device.

• BlackBerry 8300 smartphones - problems with MP3 files

  After loading an MP3 file on my Balckberry Curve 8300 on the mini sd card, I got an error message saying that the card was defective on what had to be fixed with chkdsk.  Running chkdsk has not helped and I couldn't access the card until I became with my PC and remove the MP3 file.

  I would like any suggestions from anyone.

• BlackBerry Storm Smartphones - problems syncing from Outlook XP calendar

  I wonder if anyone can help with this one?  I should explainthat have my Storm recently after a total Crash!

  When I sync my 9500 Storm with Outlook XP (after having set up for 2 way sync) the Contacts work very well I get 2 way sync.

  However with the calendar I xx yy elements to be added by the prospect of the folder which I don't want to do what I use the Outlook file to declare on my work habits for the tax year and items to remove!

  I'm out of office 4.7 even if, in theory, I downloaded version 5 and the storm is running 4.7.0.173

  Since things seem to be a bit mucked up, I suggest the following steps (reboots insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, Vista, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

  (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

  (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

  Hi guys. I am new to the forum and I'll try to do this quickly. Since I installed the new BBM on my 9700 AT & T, it has a problem giving me my BBM. Sometimes it will not even make a sound alert, change the LED color or allow me to see the new message received unless I can get a glimpse into all my messages (e-mail, text SMS, MMS messages, etc.). Here is an example. I receive an alert by a BBM contact. I can see or see what they typed to me in all my messages, but once I try to view it by clicking on it, it won't be there. Then when I go back to the message that I can't see, it will be displayed. I constantly have to do this just to show messages in my BBM contacts.
