  • BlackBerry Smartphones having a strange problem with the Blackberry AppWorld

Just got my phone a week ago so I'm still new to this.  I was able to download applications directly from the AppWorld on my phone.  What I'm trying to do is to access the AppWold from my computer to find applications and download them on my phone.  It is easier to find and watch the computer.

During the SystemCheck to download the app, when you select the PIN code and click on connect, I get a message that might have stopped a script on this page.  If you click on continue, I get an error message saying "device.legacyfail.header".

Don't know what it would be.  It isn't a huge deal, because I can get the apps from my phone, but I'm a little curious what it would cause.

I would appreciate any info people have on it.  Thank you!

He did get resolved.  It was my phone had an older version of the app AppWorld or the desktop software was an older version.  I seem to remember it was the AppWorld application that needed the most recent version.  I think that after a day or 2 there is a update for the app for me to download.

Sorry I don't remember exactly what happened, but I know for sure, it was one of those two things.

  • Access Wi - Fi blackBerry 8120 Smartphones

If this question has already been beaten to death, I apologize. I just got my Blackberry 8120 new mail. The installer went relatively well; Looks like a nice little phone.

But the main reason I bought it because AT & T has finally offered a phone that would allow me to access my home network wireless, or Wi - Fi hotspots in airports, Hotels, etc. in order to check my e-mail (GMail) or get info from Web sites. I'm not interested in VoIP. But after spending hours on the phone with technical support of AT & T, I finally learned that I have to sign up for a data plan in order to be able to use the built-in features of Wi - Fi to my phone. It is not and the meaning (for me) at all, since I bought the phone, so I wouldn't have to pay for access to the data of AT & T broadband. All I want to do is access Wi - Fi networks, like I do with my laptop!

Anyway, support AT & T told to call Blackberry, and they gave me a number to call. But automated response system asked me to enter my number of contract support tech or something, which I didn't, so I came here instead. My main question: If someone has found a way to access Wi - Fi the phone Blackberry Pearl 8120 without signing for a package data (unnecessary)? I don't like the browser I use, as long as I can access the Web. I would also like to know why AT & T / Blackberry, imposes this requirement on their clients, because I know of no technical reason why broadband is a sine qua non for a Wi - Fi connection. If I can do it on my old laptop, why not on the 8120?

Explanations or suggestions are welcome! Thanks in advance for any advice you people can offer this newbie!

I hear you man.  Honestly, I will go ahead and try the phone.  I would have canceled my order, but surprisingly, they he transported within 6 hours.  If I can do anything that solves the problem, I'll keep everyone informed. This forum has provided a glimpse of hope on this matter, but I am always sceptic (http://forums.wireless.att.com/cng/board/print?board.id=cingular&message.id=100376&page=1&format=pag...).  Somehow this program No Data is supposed to help block these features the ban free WiFi. It would be great if AT & T would create a simple program like T-Mobile (B "lackberry feature Enabler") to allow their users to do such things (http://www.blackberryforums.com/wifi-hotzone/99353-8320-without-data-plan-what-you-can-can-t-do.html), but I guess that company b/s and the almightly dollar just annoy really create a product intended to please the customer.

I turn to also write a letter on this subject should also arise. I mean, I'll give them a fair shot and see if it works.  I know that technical support will not be able to help with anything. they have the same answer "c-o-m-p-u-t-e-r-i-z-e-d" and have been poorly trained to really help people.  Mavericks of techno that you and I have a better luck to understand things in the forums at random. Have a good one, Jay

    Hi all

We have a problem of access to the weblogic Server console page.

We have fresh installed the Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c and we can access the MS pages without problems.

But when trying to connect to this address with a place (elinks) browser on the unix machine we'll see the first page immediately.

    Hi all

We solved the problem in another way: we opened the ports http access.

Because issues were security settings in Internet Explorer.

  • Use only the blackBerry PDA Smartphones

How can I synchronize a blackberry that I use as a PDA only?  I have Lotus Notes at work.  And I thought I'd be able to synchronize the blackberry with this via the USB connection.  Is this possible?  I was a user pilot Palm and I want the same functionality I had previously.  Only, I have a blackberry because my office only allows BB 8800 or better.  I don't have a wireless plan.

There is the Blackberry Desktop Manager software to make the synchronization between the device and Lotus Notes.

You can download it here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/

Download, install, connect your device via USB cable to your desktop computer and run Blackberry Desktop Manager.

  • Problems with access to the blackBerry Smartphone Internet and e-mail?

    Hey everybody

I just got my curve 8900 yesterday t-mobile, and I wondered why I couldn't access the internet and why I couldn't use my messages. Whenever I would try to resemble something upwards using the internet from my blackberry it woud still say something about the subscription. In addition, for messages there it would not allow me to send stuff only save drafts for her, that's why I used the SMS and MMS text to work around my messages. So PLEASE someone please help me understand this problem!

Well, it's basically what I said earlier.

The part of your contract with your operator voice covers some elements:

    • Voice
    • Voicemail
    • SMS/MMS
    • (I'm not sure - T-Mobile can give you the full list)

The data item for your contract covers other elements:

    • Internet browser
    • E-mail
    • Applications that require internet access
    • (I know - T-Mobile can give you the full list)

You will only receive what you contract for services. So, if you don't have a data contract with T-Mobile, you won't get these services.

Contact T-Mobile and find out what your policy covers. If it covers the services to which you do not have access, it must be changed (since you're already paying for it). If it does not cover data and that you want these services, then you must add to your contract (for the $$$ they will charge).

  • Access to the BlackBerry through the USB port on the virtual machine VMWare

I have my development environment configuration in VMWare virtual machine, and I have no problems of deployment of BlackBerry applications on a simulator that runs as another virtual machine. The problem starts when I try deploying to the device via the USB port. The address is assigned when the mode of development on the device is not accessible from the VM, but only from my host, who do me any good, since as I said my IDE is in the virtual machine. A way to solve this problem? I can still deploy to the device via wi - fi (which is btw access via different ip - one given by the network) by this can sometimes be slow depending on the strength of the signal, etc, so I prefer to be able to deploy via the USB port.

Just in case anyone has the same problem, how to activate must, VMWare Player click on the USB icon (to the right) and choose to disconnect from the host. Connecting the USB port at the prompt. Stupid...

  • Bluetooth blackBerry 8520 Smartphone problems

Just got my phone today and it's very nice.

Unfortunately, I can't get all the files from my two existing phones to transfer via bluetooth. I just get a file error message of transfer on my old phones without further explanation. I paired the up has accepted the passwords, disabled the encryption but nothing, I even sent a picture of my blackberry to an existing phone that went well and I tried to send the file back, but it will just not work.

Someone at - he had an experience? I did a search on the forums and the net and came in white.

    See you soon

    Stephen

    Hello!

This is the KB with the instructions for the transfer of things via BT... It's more complicated that you have documented:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

While the article is written for the transfer between two BB, simply replace the instructions appropriate for your non - BB device to place the steps in the KB of the transmitter unit. But you must perform the steps on the BB receiver before the opening to send it on the other device.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Messenger Smartphone problems - HELP!

I have the BB Curve 8330: conversations from about 10 days ago (last Friday) all my Berry Messenging (PINE) have been removed.  So if send me contact a message, it creates a new conversation.  HOWEVER, when they meet, or if I get a message from one of my contacts until I create a new conversation with them (which means that I get a message to them first, before I their message), the old conversation happens WITHOUT the new message.  BUT a second conversaiton is created with this contact.  In order for I discovered the NEW conversation, I have to remove the old conversation.  Since this Friday 10 days ago, it happened a few days (where my convos are deleted and I have to go through this process again).  Is there a setting that makes these problems or is my software screwed up and I need to do a hard reset (is there such a thing with BB) or return to Verizon to get a new phone?

    Hello

removing the battery IS the hard reset.
There is a warm reboot that does not involve removing the battery, but it is less effective than the hard.

for voice mail, it is possible.
Please open a new discussion on this particular point.

  • Access to the FTP Windows 7 problem

    Hello

I use a newly installed version of Windows 7100 and cannot access an FTP site from Internet Explorer or FTP Client (Filezilla) program.

Thanks to a tab of Windows Explorer, I get this message "windows cannot access this folder. Make sure that you typed the filename correctly and that you are authorized to access the directory. Details: operation timed out. "I connect with the username and password but still the same message.

Through Internet Explorer, I can actually get on the site and access information, but when I click on 'page' 'ftp site open in windows Explorer' it gives me the same error as above.

    Thank you

Open IE, Tools menu, Options, tab advanced click on "Reset".

  • The blackBerry 8703e smartphone address book will not be synchronized

I have an 8703e that I activated via our server Bez.  For the user, everything is set to sync wirelessley (e-mail, calendar, tasks and contacts), but so far contacts have not shown at the top, on the device.  Is usually a time to do this?

It looks like a restart of services of BB on the BES hosting server solved this problem.

  • GPS blackBerry 8830 Smartphone problem

It drives me crazy... Most of the time tracking my gps does not work, he is looking for and search for satellite or he says quickly it may not acquire a lock, but usually never lock.  Then suddenly out of the blue he will begin to work, but very intermittently, perhaps an hour or two then he will walk again. I tried everything I can think of short of a new phone... (when I got the phone it always worked)

You can try with google maps is also perfect, and this application does not work with satellites, to work on the network.
