BlackBerry Q10 transfer Contacts of Q10 to 9720

I have a new starter in my company that temporarily retains his device of Q10 of his old company, and she needs all her contacts copied from the Q10 so that she can get him to his former employers.

My problem is that my company use 9720's as standard so I need an easy way to transfer contacts to a Q10 to a 9720.

I tried to make a backup using software Blackberry Link but kept otherwise, and I've read since this backup will be incompatiable for restore to a 9720.

I have already concluded that Bluetooth works, but this option is far too long to do, because she has nearly 500 contacts, and asks us to make each of them individually.

We are in an environment Microsoft Exchange and BES, so there is a possibility to install the software on his PC and the synchronization of Outlook, the problem with this is that we want nothing but his contacts synchronization, because if any email or the calendar entries have been synchronized this could cause a serious security breach.

Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Sarah

I reread your post again. If contacts were associated with an Exchange account to its previous company you will not be able to synchronize them with the link. This is a security feature and protects the company data. The best thing for her to do would have been to export Outlook Contact data to a pst file before his departure.

  • Q10 blackBerry problem transfer contacts from Gmail to Q10

First I tried to use the "peripheral" app switch, and I tried to transfer contacts and the calendar of a Samsung S3 to the Q10 - does not work, nothing has been recorded.

Then I tried to manually enter some contact entries, and that no longer works (you press "save", but it is not saved).

Email gmail works fine, great syncs and everything, but NO contacts list available.

Very frustrating. If big names like Gmail and Blackberry OS 10 cannot talk to each other, what the heck!

(I should mention that all OS updates have been made, it is perfectly up to date)

any help and advice would be much appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones transfer Contacts from old Q10

Please help, I have nearly 1000 contacts in my Q10, but only a fraction have been downloaded on my new private via Content Transfer. These are apparently "local Contacts". How can I get all the contacts transfer or uploaded to Google Drive?

You use this account gmail on PRIV? If so, check if the contacts are synchronized:

    Go to settings

    Scroll accounts

    Tap on Google

Tap on the gmail account that has your contacts

Now check if the switch to IT.

If you have not added gmail account that has your contacts, then proceed as follows:

    Go to settings

    Scroll accounts

    Tap Add an account

    Select google

Follow the instructions... and your contacts will automatically be there.

    Hello!

If it is compatible, provided by RIM device switch Wizard will accomplish the task. You can read about it here:

If this isn't the case, then you must use whatever your other device provides and export the data to a CSV file. Then, you can use the RIM software to import in the BB:

  • BlackBerry smartphones transfer contacts to Samsung Entro list

    People,

I had a Samsung Entro with over 250 contacts and recently turned to a Curve 8530. I'm transferring my contacts list of the Entro to the BB. I tried pairing devices and succeeded, but when I tried the transfer with the BB, I can transfer only a contact and it keeps even transfer. Anyone know how to transfer all the contacts at once?

Once again thank you all. However, when I click on Contacts, there is not a Menu option. I have 2 choices - Contact - and if I click on it, it will open my contacts list. The other choice is speed dial - open my speed dial the list of windows. Unless there is something that I am missing. Thanks again.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Indeed, these IPD files are backups of your BB and are available as a source of food (they are a proprietary format and cannot be used for any other purpose, except by a few 3rd party applications that have been written to analyse). Choose the most recent one (the one with the most recent date and time, as displayed in the File Manager Windows) using this procedure:

It is always useful to receive assistance, to include your BlackBerry device model # and carrier name, so that when you have a question, what information should be asked from the start. Also, indicating the version of the operating system of your device is normally another common question, found on your BlackBerry options > about, third line, looks like 'v4.x.x.xxx '.

    1. where your photos are stored? If they are on the map, just remove the media card and keep it.

You can also use the Blackberry Desktop Software to synchronize the media and images on your PC.

2 contacts, memos, etc., synchronize with Outlook on your computer if you use Outlook, or backup of the device to the PC via the BlackBerry Desktop Software. The backup file is ONLY available to restore to another BlackBerry... so that the synchronization of Outlook is the best bet.

AND, if your BlackBerr device is / was on one account BES with COMPUTER strategies, none of the above is possible... but still, you have not stated the detail necessary to answer your questions completely.

To turn off sync wireless in the address book simply to go into the address book, click the menu button, click Options. Then go down in the 'Lists of Contact' section and click on the name of the address book. In the next screen, you can uncheck or set the wireless synchronization. Then try to sync with the Desktop Manager. Subsequently re - turn on the wireless sync to keep the address book wireless sync.

    Hello

You will probably have to get a PAID 3rd party player. Backup files (*.) IPD) are designed only to backup/restore of a BB... not for the transfer of the data anywhere else. But some 3rd party applications have broken through them and figured out how to extract the data. I suggest that you search (your favorite search engine) readers of IPD file and then select one to do what you want. But... I also suggest that you protect that IPD file... you never know what might happen to her with some 3rd party app.

    Good luck!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry a transfer contacts sim card to the phone?

Hi all, I have an old SIM contacts on this issue how would synchronize these contacts on the phone, so I did not hasve to spend hours typing all contacts

Unfortunately, it's just how it works. SIM cards have a much less robust AddressBook that does the BB; they store an entry to a phone number. As such, when they are imported into a more robust address book (as BB), you end up with this result. The only thing to do is to get in a PIM on PC (for example, Outlook) and make handling it, then re - sync back to the BB and it's going to be clean again.

    See you soon!
