  I had almost the same experience, but the deleted mail did not reappear in the Inbox, but in the hub.

  I've updated my software to 10.2.1.537 last week and you can delete is no longer emails coming to my phone. I tried to remove my phone email account and add it again, it does not help.

  I solved this on my phone! Go to the blackberry platform, select settings, display and actions and scroll through e-mail messages. Change to delete on handheld and server. It worked for me. Just a lucky find but it took me hours... I get so frustrated when these improvements wrong you!

  In your messages folder, scroll to the top date of the page bar, or any separator bar date > Menu > delete all the prerequisites.

  I use Blackberry with an IMAP mail server. I have install BB to delete in the box at the letters and pocket. However, when I delete a message, I always get this confirmation screen asking me "Delete the Message" with the two options below ("on mailbox & handheld ' or 'Pocket').

  To implement if it does not prompt you for deletions, go to your messages folder, click the menu button and select options, then email reconciliation.  If you have more than 1 e-mail set up, make sure that the correct e-mail address shows beside "messaging services" and change "Delete on ' of the 'guest' to ' mailbox and pocket.

  I have two email accounts set up on my curve, hotmail is one the other is my work address.  My Hotmail emails remain on my BlackBerry until I have delete but the e-mails I get from my account to work automatically deleted after a short period of time without notification!  Any help will be appreciated

  Try this:

  IF you use Outlook to download your email on your desktop PC, Outlook is probably "remove" mail from your email server when it downloads on your PC.

  There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on server".

  For MS Outlook 2003:
  1. Outlook > tools > e-mail accounts > view or change existing > next.
  2. Select the e-mail account > change > additional settings.
  3. Advanced tab > leave a copy of Messages on the server
  4. check this box.

  * You will need to make this change for each Outlook e-mail account, you have.

  Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting, although it can be found in a slightly different place of the: Advanced settings.

  While in the center of BlackBerry, press Action (lower-right), then settings > display and Actions.

  Scroll down, and then tap on Delete on and select prompt.

  If anyone can help, I sent my phone and entered my email as you are supposed to do, but I get a lot of jokes and emails that are not local on my phone, I would like to delete the e-mail from my phone part, but can not find the place to shut it down or remove my e-mail from the phone.   I have service with bell mobility and sympatico.ca if that makes a difference.

  Have you select either delete on handheld only or remove server and handheld? If your font is set above about 10 then you won't see the option buttons to select.
