• Disable Windows 7 mirror on desktop

  I am trying to turn off screen dimming that occurs with windows 7.

  Since I installed Windows 7 32 bit Professional (Build 7600) the screen darkens everything except the cursor when sound level of the office, or when I use firefox.  Sometimes, I can restore my brightness off connection then return by logging.  Brightness restores to normal when I play games.  I looked online and gone to control panel/power settings and control/display panel, but there is no option for the variance of y.  I also looked in the BIOS of my computer and did not see all the parameters are associated with dimming screen.

  Auto dim or also called smart drive in Windows 7 is available in the computer systems that have hardware that supports this feature.

  Please see the troubleshooting steps below that would solve your problem.

  1. open the power supply Options by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and security, and then clicking Power Options.

  2. in the current power plan, click change plan settings.

  3. on the change settings for the plan page, click on change advanced power settings.

  4. in advanced settings, pull down the menu, click view and see if you can find the dim function listed here.

  You can change the settings because if dim Auto show display, accordingly, for what you want.

  If you are not able to find this feature in the settings of your peak power plan, I suggest to create a power plan, to meet your needs.

• Display Auto-Dim?

  I generally try to help out here, but I need help or comments on this one

  I have my Xoom screen timeout to 2 minutes and always on when it is connected because I love him now and bright on my desk at work when it is docked. the problem is that the screen remains lit when it is anchored, but will auto-dim so that it is not entirely clear. If I'm in the music player, playing a slide show on the home screen is not serious, it becomes less bright and I have to type to return a full intensity. seems to happen about 3 minutes after leaving alone.

  anyone else notice this or is - it just me, and I missed something?

  I found a solution, but it will cost you $1 in the Android Market. I bought the app called 'Sun Lock' tonight, installed, and set the lock on 'on '.   The auto dim function is THE most irritating thing I've ever met and I can't turn it off! It's dark even darker screen that is completely backwards and I can't believe its even a feature. My site has a black background, so when it changes its gradation constantly making it is hard to read and it also happens in sections impossible to play games. All posts on turn off in the power options are unnecessary because the option is not in the lists. Can anyone help? Running Windows 7 Pro, card Nvidia GFX, but cannot see any option in those affecting either.

  I recently bought this laptop and I'm having trouble with the dimming of the display function. The problem is when I consult a bright image for example a blank page on the portable Chrome seems to be at full intensity, but looking at something more dark, for example, the interface of Spotify which is often grey screen seems to auto dim.

  This monitor a Energy Smart option, that works weird in my opinion. It amplifies the light when the screen is white and darkens the screen when the screen is dark.

• T410s - screen Auto-Dims the display content-based?

  This is a really weird thing... never seen a behavior in a LCD screen like this before.

  I noticed that the screen very slowly descends the brightness of the backlight, and almost don't notice you at first, when the low contrast images are displayed on most of the screen.

  I first noticed while browsing, but the best way to reproduce the problem is to open two copies of painting, maximize their and make the size of the image fills the screen.  Let one of them is all white and fill another with all gray.  Adjust the brightness of your screen up.  Now alt - tab between the two copies of painting every 10 seconds.

  What I see is that when I leave the gray image on the screen for a few seconds, you can see the brightness of the backlight begin to decline in about 10 discrete steps, more than 3 seconds.  When you switch to the image in white you end up with a dark looking screen, and then you can see as the brightness of the backlight itself upward during the few seconds of couple.

  You will notice the effect more with less ambient light, or by the dos commands and gauge the total luminous power of the monitor in a room dark.

  To be clear, I'm not saying that an image is smaller than the other.  I mean if leave you it on the gray screen for a few seconds and then switch back to the white screen, * after * switch you back, on the next 5 seconds, you will see the total display increasing brightness.

  Sorry for the long explanation, but... I see it?  Or is it some lost 'improving contrast newness' of the LCD?  I'd really like to hear your experience.

  I just bought this TV and noticed on dark/poorly lit scenes either in a Blu - Ray player or even Netflix it fades and brightens.

  I understand that the printer is capable of printing a test properly page. This seems to indicate that this isn't a hardware problem and it is more likely to be software related problem.

  Due to the slight dimming, I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

  • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

• Yoga 2 - 1050 screen Dim/book icon w / stars arises just before

  New show with my Yoga 2-1050. No idea if this is a bug or a setting I find more hours of trying. Only since yesterday, the screen greyed out in two steps and white have something of a brownish hue now. No idea where it would not be in the settings, but I spent a few hours trying to find it and can't. My stuff Adaptive everything stops. Just before the screen fades, a little icon of a book with stars jumps to the top of the bottom, then the screen becomes dim. No option to click on it. I checked my document readers and none of them have an option for this. Only applications that disables what are the camera and Gallery, but at the point where I support out of them, the icon comes back, screen fades. What is the story here? It's now my second yoga 2, due to a bad screen on the first and the bugginess and poor documentation is pretty boring. Every day something new appears. PIC of the icon.   The little book you make refers to is the smart switch to Lenovo. It is controlled through settings or via the drop down menu on the main screen central. You can ignore it so that you can control brightness levels. When in mode auto, it is a bit erratic, but I find it seems to respond more to the position of the stand that the rotation of the screen.
