BlackBerry smartphone Contact list import backup data

I wonder if anyone can help please. I backed up data via Desk Top Manager for a Curve 8520 that was stolen recently. I would like to import only the list of contacts in this return of data from the device stolen from a new Curve 8520. However, I don't see any method to do otherwise than to "Import files" to the new curve of the data backup via PC desk top manager. Is this possible or is not the mechanism to achieve this?

Open Desktop Manager > restore > choose the desired file, where the backup. Then click selective restore > choose any address book and click on restore.

  • BlackBerry smartphone Contact List BB messenger gone?

    Hi all.

This morning I received a message to update my BB Messenger.

After the update and installation, there were a few mistakes (not forget to take screenshots), but since then, my contact list has disappeared.

Lateron when I logged in again, he asked me to look for my ' old "contacts. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened so I decided to restart my BB. After that, my contact list was empty and now I don't have my friends braces saved somewhere.

Someone has an idea how to do to retrieve the list of old?

No backup copy? Not at all?

You can make a very very easy to in BlackBerry Messenger > Options > Backup. You have not done this?

    Or the Desktop Manager?

If you do not - simply start adding your friends again.

Look at the Options > Applications > BlackBerry Messenger, what version of BBM do you have?

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Contacts list disappeard! Can't get it back!

    Hello!

I have a BB Bold 9700 and during the holidays, I went to my parents, where there was no cell phone coverage... But the strange thing is that my Contacts disappeared as soon as I lost connectivity... I thought that they would reappear when I had a blanket once again, but no!

Then I did a restore of my backup in BB Desktop Manager (latest version) and it still does not... I don't know what to do anymore... Any help?

P.S.: The rest is still there, calendar, recorded messages, photos, etc...)

In fact, I could go to my service provider and the solution is to disable "wireless synchronization" in the Options of Contacts list.

    Thanks for the help!

  • BlackBerry smartphone Contact list need help

Hi all. Just got my first BB and love it. I have the 9100 pearl and have a question.

I took my SIM card from my old phone (sony w910i) and installed in my BB. In configuration mode he asked me to transfer the contacts that I made, but it gave me one number per contact as home number. I recorded them all in my outlook contacts with all the information, including emails. Is it possible to transfer all this and get my contact list done correctly or I have to manually go in and change all of them?

Also is there a way I can use the computer to enter my information into the BB instead of the small keyboard?

    Thank you

    Peter

    Welcome to the forums, Peter!

You want to download and install the Office BlackBerry (DM) Manager from here.

You can then configure DM to synchronize your Outlook contacts on your device.  This link will help guide you through the configuration process.

  • BlackBerry smartphone contact list or address book on Bold 9700

I gave my Bold 9700 to my daughter. How can I remove my contacts instead of delete one by one?

You can connect to Desktop Manager and just turn off address book database. What I would recommend instead to do a security Wipe. Go to Options > Security Options > Security Wipe. He will wipe away all of the device of all your settings and data and you can start over. It would be a good idea to get its own BBID to download apps & games, etc. Each BB user should have their own BBID. New versions of BBM use BBID is not a good idea to share BBID.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Contact App - load only 1 default contacts list (not all)

    Hello

In short, my question is: "How can I force the Contacts application on my 9780 to load only 1 of my lists of contacts by default?"

    Context:

I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my contacts from work (Google apps).  I like to keep these lists of contacts separate and apart from each other, but accessible if necessary.  However, this device is mainly for work, I would not have my personal contacts that appear every time I open the Contacts application.  The effect I'm trying to achieve is after the opening of the contacts--> click--> click on 'Select Contact list... '. "--> and chose a.  Is there a way to save this preference / by default, so I don't have to filter whenever I open my contacts list?

If your contacts are classified as business and personal, all you need to do is to open your address book > filter > choose personal or business.

I have my e-mail address on my work surface, but contact list didn't load when the account is.  How import you a csv file to the mail app on a Surface RT?

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems you are trying to import the list of contacts to Mail App.

You can't import contacts of the PPP to Win 8 people directly. However, if you go to http://people.live.com and choose manage it gives you the ability to import the CSV.

Hope that the information provided is useful.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to take backup

Open the browser, Options > Cache operations > erase history and content, and the pushed content.

Try the backup again, if nothing else, go back and delete cookies also.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones appeal list question

    Hello

I'm not a novice at the BBs, but I came across a tiny problem that I can't fix.

I have Contacts who have different numbers (work, home, mobile etc.) and on my Contact list that they are all registered with their respective names, and I use the options to add the work, knit 2, House, House 2 etc etc etc so that I have not so different or 4 Contacts for the same person on the list of contacts.

That said, on my list, I used to be able to display calls (incoming, outgoing, missed) of an individual and it show up under their name and all what # they called from at the time. If I've navigated to this name in the list and press the 'menu' button, then 'history', then I can see all previous calls to this person.

Now what happened all of a sudden, is that each number has shown separately with their own call history on my list.

I prefer it as it was: a name with the option to view the history of a name.

    If anyone can help?

    I would be very happy!

Wellllllllll, Ive managed to solve this myself after all... lol...

I did a soft reset some time ago and it didn't work.

But I tried again... excluded the battery a little longer and EUREKA! This "thing" started working as it should!

Maybe it was just a fluke, but I'll take it!
