Please enable JavaScript before moving on to the login page. "Someone can help, and clearly, when it comes to things like I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

Good luck and let us know!

Start with a battery pull. With your phone, remove the battery and then replace it. If it does not, reload the OS of your phone using BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Uncaught exceptions are essentially the final 'out' in programming... code an event that has happened for which there is no instruction in the program to deal with, then it falls out of the code string. The only solution is to have the programming code to handle the situation... which means the original code to be written to handle the event, tested and released to businesses and carriers to test and certify and communicate to their user base. The only solution is therefore, at our level is so of course we are on most recently certified code of our carriers. But this nature will not stop mistakes... they will continue randomly, like errors in all computer peripherals.

  • BlackBerry smartphones which computer site to go?

Hi all.   New to BB, I have a Pearl.  My question is that my phone service is through T-Mobile and I have a blackberry.net account set in place email on my phone but I can not know what website to go to access my e-mails blackberry.net? Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

As a general rule, when you configure an e-mail @BB address by your carrier for your BB, the only place where they are available is on the BB itself... no web interface for access to substitution. Because BB is so good with most all Internet messaging services, I never actually saw any reason to create a @BB for a BB email address.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones and Apps site applications

I hate the world apps are store Black Berry is not a friend of the user and does not work to connect most of the time. It freezes don't login in I have to try again and again until I managed.  No, it's not my PC I have no problem with any other site or connections.

I'm so almost mad with anger about a theme that I have purchased from Adorno, I might as well have opened my trashcan and threw the money in.  The theme showed it was compatible with my BB, so I paid for it and apparently guess what is not compatible. Total rip offs! I will never, ever buy another theme or any other application which is not free.  I played E-mail tag now with this program for a good two weeks without result.  This program just telling me get my money back contact the apps storefront? Yes just I have yet to see this option anywhere on the site of apps or Black Berry.  When I go to the theme I got from him / it I go to the left Pan and this resonated program tag with me via email.  I'm well upset ever been so angry!  In addition, as much as I love my Black Berry every thing and nothing to do with her is horribly hostile user including Black Berry and Black Berry apps site. A friend who does not have a Black Berry said yes, this is the saddest on BB.   Lesson learned when it comes time for a new phone it is going away from Black Berry or whatever it is romotely near him.  Black Berry or apps not happy!

Hey, you always talk to the wrong person here.

YOU CALL CARRIER. The question is intensified at technical level RIM support. They can help you with the AppWorld. They can cancel or withdraw your credit card or manage the purchase of incorrect application.

And you can threaten them, because you're here, doing nothing but blowing hot air on a person in this forum. We are users like you.

I tried in my limits to help you.

This is the message I get when I want to run BB App World. I received a message that there is a new version available so I've downloaded which and now I can't access it, because of this error message.

Someone knows how can I fix? I tried to delete the App World, but this option does not even appear on my device...

OK, I went with the last option to connect my BB to my computer. I've deleted App World in the BB Software Manager and discovered that it was somehow installed twice. This is the same version... I deleted them both and only reinstalled and now it works! I'm so happy, I really missed this feature on my BB!

Thank you very much for your help!

There is no 'turning java' on the BlackBerry.

    • the BlackBerry smartphone uses a Java-based operating system.
    • the BlackBerry smartphone can use applications developed in Java (or J2ME like any mobile phone or special files for devices BlackBerry ALX)
    • the phone smart BlackBerry with a browser that can do JavaScript and not Java applets.

Question is: why do you think that you need Java?
