BlackBerry Smartphones 8310 MMS Retrieval

I have a 8310 on o2 (online 20 Tarriff + unlimited Blackberry) I can send MMS but not get back them. Help!

Have you tried soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec. ? and then try to recovery of your MMS. Just to letyou know recoveries MMS needs to be done in a given timeframe as indicated by your carrier. For example, my carrier allows 24 hours for the recovery of the MMS, which means after that I won't be able to retrieve the MMS.

It is a forum oriented BlackBerry technology, you have questions about web development. I think it's best for you is to find some tutorials on the internet on "how to create a web application on tomcat with a database" or try a forum oriented Tomcat directly.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You have stumbled into one of the most delicate things BBS. For security, you can assign a device lock password which, if your BB is lost or stolen, will take care of wiping the BB correctly clean once someone fails to enter the password too many times.

The BB keyboard is so small that each key has to do a lot of different functions, and they change according to different control keys (alt, caps, etc.). Therefore, when you created the password on the BB, you thought that you type one thing when you were actually typing something completely different. Now, whatever this modifier key is no longer in place, or is in place when it wasn't initially. So, what you type now isn't the exact password you created, even if it's the same keys you press.

With only 2 tries on the left, you have little time to try things. But you can try this:

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that this will reset your BB and keyboard than what it was when you created the password. You will immediately know if it works...

You can try the other control buttons to see what you may have used originally. But, once again, with only 2 tests left, you have little hope.

If you have attached to your PC ever and know how to type the password on the full PC keyboard can do now... the counter for the password entry is the same regardless of y enter on the device or via the PC. That resets the counter and give you more chances to understand.

Once you fail the maximum number of hours, your BB will be conscientiously wipe himself. When you do that, you need to restore your data from your backup... you have one of these, right? You treat your BB as the computer either, aren't you? Backups are not an option with computers.

If you do not have a backup, then you are going to migrate from the latter to the former in that old saying:

    • There are two types of computer users - those who have lost data and those who will do so.

Please do not use the hammer - like all computers, the BB is simply by doing exactly what you said to do.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS & MMS list displays random messages

Hi all, this is my first post here, I hope you can help us?

My SMS/MMS list is crazy, it shows a couple of posts of the month rather than the usual chronological display. If I type ALT S the list back to normal and I can see all the messages that I sent in the correct order. It's driving me crazy! Any ideas?

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Check once again, they appear correctly now?

Pictures are an important part of the phones for me cos I had small children etc. pls help

OK, I guess you could, then.

MMS is activated via a directory of services pushed to your BlackBerry from your operator. Maybe your is corrupted or not installed.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

  • The blackBerry Smartphones No. MMS option and cannot connect to the application server

    Good evening

For some reason any I can not receive or send MMS on my Blackberry 9520 Storm 2. I still do not see the ability to send a picture as a text when I go on my photos. I don't know if it's the phone or my provider. I have my 9520 unlocked on AT & T with a package data unlimited talk and text unlimited. I tried to have photos I was sent as well, but it was also no chance that I NEVER received a text.

The second problem I have is that I can't access the Blackberry App Store. Try whenever I have it says that it cannot connect to the server.

    Any help?

Edit: The problem of the App Store is no longer present (off the network and turned it back), but the MMS problem is still present.

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > BBKey (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! But, the fact that you can't do SMS or MMS seems to indicate that they are not part of your plan service provider - that is why, if the above does not help, then contact them to see if you who are on your plan on their part.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Alltel MMS Clarifications

Well, I'm really frustrated here, you guys.  Not only do I have an Alltel Pearl, but I'm also an Indirect agent and I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone, and I don't know exactly where to go to find the correct information.

My problem is: PICTURE MESSAGING!  ARRRRGH!

I was told two weeks ago (a week after I got my phone) that pearls were incapable of send AND receive MMS.  However, during the last week, I was able to receive.  Just today, I have a client who is interested in the Pearl (but which is worried about not having e-mail capabilitles photo and just title) to call and tell me that she talked to a representative of Alltel just today who informed her that a software update has been published today or yesterday, addressing this issue.  So I take on myself call Alltel Tech Support, where a representative informed me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for either to send OR receive picture messages, even if I had literally one at that moment, she told me this (to which she replies as "miraculous").

What exactly is happening here?  Y at - it a published status update?  I know, he is out for the Sprint, but all I can find are old discussions about the Alltel software updates.

    Thank you all!

Yes, the new version (4.5.0.89) is available for download on the site Web of Software Alltel.  It is supposed to fix MMS issues.

This is straight from Alltel Tech Support.  It became available yesterday (10/27).

    Thanks for the help, if!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS/MMS screen will not rotate horizontally

A SMS and MMS window is stuck in an upright position only (which makes it very annoying to type and message).  All other screens, programs, etc all turn to postions vertical and horizontal.  It just started happening out of no where.  Nothing else seems to be a problem with the phone or one of its programs.  Tried to update the software, but it was all up to date.  Any suggestions or corrections would be appreciated.

Have you tried restarting batt-pull? Like all computers, a normal restart is healthy!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I retrieve contact information for a database without the BlackBerry

This is my story - a couple of weeks, I dropped my 8130 Pearl in a large cup of water. After miraculously, he came back to life, I decided that it was time to SAVE my contact... information so I used the version of the office for 4.3.0.17 Manager do... Only, I clicked on "Addresses", which I guess means contacts. I joke that my poor BlackBerry not - the VERY NEXT DAY, went into the pool with me. Now, despite the fact that I just mentioned after swimming, I actually do not lead a lavish lifestyle... I live in the desert, and I had to enter my poor toddler, overheated in the pool as soon as possible. I have no cell phone insurance, but I don't have the $50 deductible to get a new BlackBerry. Now I use a Casio g opportunity ' Boulder area. I had so much contact info, I need. So, here is my question. Is there a way to convert information database (IPD file) I saved in a word document, or other legible form so I can get all my contacts?

    Thank you in advance,

    Crystal

Crystal, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Yes, google search for ABC Amber IPD Converter and use it. It is not free, but the trial software will manage a limited number of records.

If you end up having a new BlackBerry, you can restore this backup IPD file on your new device.
