BlackBerry Smartphones able to unluck

Hello

Phone works fine yesterday, but I went to unlock the last night and I can't select unlock with the key scroll, if I press back on 'Unlock', or 'U', I can go to the password screen. But then the "A" key does not work!

All advice appreciated that I have text messages I need to access. Don't want to have to clear all through a PC access.

Thank you

Ok.

Then you probably have a wrong key and trackpad, both at the same time. Coincidence, Yes.

Not so strange for a device that could be exposed to top networks, but since you are absolutely sure, that it was not, I don't know what to recommend other than the replacement of the two.

I didn't pay to use the IMAP protocol so mail sync is a pain and transfer to Gmail works though.

With Gmail Enhanced plugin, it kills my battery life call.

When you use Outlook synchronization of contacts and the calendar works fine I can't share too easy my calendar, tasks, and others with my wife. We use COZI, but currently COZI does not work with Outlook if it syncs step backwards for us.

    Hello!

The list of PIMs supported (aka organizing Desktop apps) is in this KB. However, be aware that the rim, you can get a version of the DTM is earlier than 4.5... This means that if you need to use a last PIM supported a version earlier than 4.5, RIM has no source for this version of DTM. You can get versions DTM dating back to 4.5 here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones able when incoming calls use ringtone or vibrate only?

I plan on getting a Pearl 8120 as soon as my discount comes in at T-Mobile and there is a feature that I really hope that there or that there is an app that will do it for me.  I wish I could when incoming phone calls warn me with only buzzer and when they use an audible ringtone.  Something like: 08:00 - 10:00 only vibrate, ringer from 10:00-14:00, 14:00-17:00 only vibrate, 17:00-08:00 ring on, etc., a mode of week weekend vs would be great too.  Is this possible?  I can't see the pdf manual, but I always hope.

    Thank you.

    Thanks anyway, teddana.

For future researchers, I found two who would do it, but there is a trap for them.  Due (according to them) integrated security Blackberry, nor can make the changes, while the keypad is locked.  If the keypad is locked at the moment where you plan a change to vibrate at audible ringtone (or more), they will inform you by vibrating the phone it's time to make the change, but the user must unlock the phone momentarily to allow the change.

They are of Toysoft Profiler and the other is called profile Scheduler.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not able to get my phone to work unless in safe mode

There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. After installing the operating system on your PC package, please remember to remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Please refer to this information, which is at the top of each page on this site:

Contractually, BlackBerry cannot provide any support from first line for nothing. All support first line begins with mobile service providers, to the place of origin of purchase or an authorized service center (it varies according to the region and the specific question). When you bought your device and the services, you should have been informed about your methods of formal support... If you weren't, you need to check your place of origin of purchase or your service provider mobile as to what those who are for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones be able to send emails

My bbm and facebook work, but I can't send emails. I was able to receive simply not send them. Anyone know why or how to remedy?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS Backup-able?

Hello. I had a BB Bold 9650 for six weeks, and the 'o' key is out.  Verizon sent me a new free, but I have text messages that I really want to keep.  If I do a backup of my phone, which will exclude my texts or is it possible to save them for the transfer?

I am open to any downloadable software, with which I can save my texts.  But I checked my options in the SMS section and the inside of the text itself, and there seems to be no way to save these texts is to the card by e-mail, the PC or the media.

Would appreciate any input from anyone before I go ahead and switch phones.  I have maybe just live without "O" key and keep my existing phone.  Sounds crazy, I know, but I really want to save these.  There should be a way to save and transfer all back to the new, I hope.  Searched the web for two hours looking for it but no luck so far.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

If you are always two devices by hand, then you can use the switch device Wizard:

    • KB16291 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to a new BlackBerry smartphone

Honestly I don't positive how specifically manages the SMS, but there are sections of your user manual that discussing it... You should also check here.

Also, you can manually back up your SMS database, and then I guess that try to restore:

    • KB23680 How to back up and restore data from BlackBerry using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 smartphone
    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM

I've updated the BBM and now I'm stuck with Server error message. Help, please. I use a BB Bold 9790, OS 7

    Hello jaqpaw

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

You are able to use BBM before this update without any problem?

If you are then try reinstalling BBM who may help, do that on your homescreen go to Options > device > application management > delete BlackBerry Messenger in the list.

KB10040  : How to display or remove installed application on a blackberry smartphone

After deletion to perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered and then wait a min.  and reinsert back.

Most of my colleagues use Q10 BB or BB Z10 and I have BB bold 9900, but I can't send them BBM I can receive their BBM. Help, please!

    Hello

    Thanks for the confirmation!

Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

Please try it and let us know of your progress.

My BB Curve 9320 is constant restarting.

I got the phone about 9 months.  I went to activate Bluetooth for the first time today.  As soon as I opened the menu bar and "verified" bluetooth, the phone turns off.  It began to restart... He went through the entire cycle of loading and reach the screen normal, but after 3 seconds stops and restarts again.  Permanently.

    I have:

-taking the battery (several times): continues

-a followed the advice to start in safe mode, it will start in safe mode, but stops after 3 seconds and restarts

-connected to the laptop via USB, but the computer will not come to get the camera to access

I actually got on the screen and in the second 3 window was able to click on the set of networks to see that Bluetooth is more "verified"-any, yet what have the 3 seconds before the reboot cycle.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones not receive emails on my BB Gmail :(

Hello today I install both my Hotmail & Gmail on my BB Bold 9780 accounts. I received the confirmation emails "Activation on the server" in the two accounts on my BB so I assumed that everything has been done successfully. Fake! Hotmail works very well. I am able to send & receive the BB with no problems & receive emails in both my Inbox via hotmail.com & on my BB. However, the Gmail account, is another story. Any help would be appreciated as my Gmail account is my main account for business related emails so I always need to be connected. Thank you.

  • Phone of blackBerry Smartphones is possesed?

Hi... my blackberry 9900 randomly opens messages and apps and call someone from my contact list, the screen keeps jumping and open anything... help please!

OK thanks... you did a Wipe of security on the device, not a factory reset. Ok.

In view of all your symptoms and issues, I would recommend a reload of the OS. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below. It is perhaps questionable in your situation... you may or may not now be able to make a backup. I hope that you have a recent, that you can use.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
