BlackBerry Smartphones addresses stored on the phone - want to remove

Just got a replacement for my Bold 9000 and I'm having a problem with the e-mail addresses stored in my phone. When an open my email accounts and click on compose email, all email addresses of emails I received are listed. My 9000 previous did not do that, only my contacts is appeared when I typed a key to bring up the contacts that began with that letter.

Is there a setting to change this?

Thank you

Yep, simple, open your Messages folder.

Click Menu > Options.

Scroll down to display recent Contacts during the electronic composition and together as for no

And save.

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones after update of the phone

I have an ATT coverage. BlackBerry 9700 Version 3.2 V3.2.33 (b3.5). After I updated my phone and I ran into several problems.

    1. on my home screen, when I select "SMS and MMS, I have to select options, see folder, then the sms conversations to see my recent texts. It's annoying, because I have to do this every time I read a txt.

    2. when I select my email icon. Reading an email, and then exit, he said the email has not been read.

If someone knows the solution to these problems, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    In addition, check here:

    • Home screen > Messages > > Options > (main Message list settings) (settings of the Inbox) or > uncheck what you want to delete in your Messages

If you uncheck the SMS box, this should create a new icon on your home screen that is dedicated only to the SMS/MMS. Look in all folders for the missing icons and check your setting 'Show all' to you make sure that it is not hidden.

    Good luck!

  • The data of all blackBerry Smartphones are missing and the phone is formatted

I received a notification of Blackberry Protect to enter my ID password for identification number of mi ([email protected]). I forgot the password to ID both the unswer. I chose the function to send information to my mail to reset the password. But all messages from Blackberry protect came to my male. I tried to get the mote of past 10 times and after that the phone has started to download something and turned off. After the phone on - ampty withou that all data, contacts, photos, videos etc. empty at all.

After that a little clear message came to my male.

Assume that all info shoul be registered on the Blackberry server. How can I get back all the data from my phone, including the existing settings (staff and my work emails were connected to my Blackberry etc - all shoul settings saved on the server).

Thank you very much for the support!

Make sure that you have made a backup using BlackBerry Protect before your deletion of the device?

  • Email to blackBerry Smartphones and exposed on the phone at the same time

    Hello

I intend to buy a "BOLD" next week.  It's true "BOLD" is the first BlackBerry that is able to send emails (not just typing emails) and talking on the phone (or by sending a text message) at the same time?  The older models were not able to send emails and using the phone line at the same time because they could not use EDGE for GSM/GPRS and email for phone calls simultaneously.

    Thank you!!

This is true of most networks.

GPRS and EDGE, the two are unable to send data during a GSM call. GSM uses channel to make the call and therefore data are not given a slice with the voice in real time with priority.

It s possible to send data if your camera has one alternative route other than the voice channel to transmit data. for example, WiFi or cable series work around.

However, I believe that somewhere buried deep in specifications 3gpp it is possible according to the GPRS of the device class and if your network has the function is enabled. However, most of the networks do not see any point as with the 3G it is possible to make voice and data calls at the same time.

To answer your question... "BOLD" connected to a 3G network can send and receive e-mail while on a voice call.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Key broke and the phone does not

Recently, I bought a blackberry curve 8520. The phone has worked very well and was one of the best phones I have ever used. But now, apparently not responding. The only way to get into my phone when turned on is to push the switch off button for about 3 seconds and then the phone will ask me to unlock. It is kind off annoying because I'm not used to using the phone like that. I don't know how it happened. The only reason that I can think of is that a few weeks ago I was pushed and I hit a wall with the phone in my pocket, it broke my g - key. The key fell to it simply stopped working. This habit of annoy me too, but I've learned to live with it. My question is now, blackberry will still repair the phone if I return? And if not, is it possible to fix it and also to repair the key without having to replace expensive parts?

    Thanks in advance

I sent the phone back already. Just in case someone would have answered.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones too small for the phone battery?

    Hello! I need help.

My sister has a curve (8520). She overcharge the battery, so of course, it is inflated. We got him a new battery, which now seems to be too small for the phone. The only thing I can think is that the phone has somehow expanded, but that seems very unlikely to me. I don't understand how that would have happened?

Could someone help me on this, because I spent twice that the phone is a value, over a period of time, trying to get this fixed up for her, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with service providers.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all, a swollen battery does not mean that the battery has been overloaded. It does not mean it probably needs to be replaced but I saw him slightly swollen batteries work fine.

If the new battery is 'too small', then it is likely, that you have the bad battery. The device did not inflate with battery.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not hear the phone

    Hello guys,.

I bought the storm and love it.  Once all the bugs will be fixed and I find a way to synchronize using bluetooth it will all be just great!

I have just a new problem which started 10 minutes ago.  When I call people or people call me they can hear me and I can't hear anything.  I checked the volume.  Called several people.  Tried 2 different devices bluetooth, speaker and the headphones.  It is absolutely silent...

What can I do about it?  I turned the phone market 2 times but it does not remedy.

    Help, please.

Once I removed the battery and installed again the phone started working and now I can hear the conversations.  I hope RIM fixes this issue soon.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not lock the phone when you call...

I don't have a case for my storm yet, I have a transparent cover for it and lock it and put it in my pocket.

Well tonight I went to make a call, dial, connected and thought then lock my phone and put it in my Pocket only it didn't close.

Can someone tell me if I'm missing something...  Shouldn't be able to lock the phone while on a bluetooth headset?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones messages folder contains the phone records

    Hello

I have also 8700g V4.5.0.55 (Platform 2.7.0.68).  I noticed that a folder contains not only e-mails, but also the phone logs (records of call missed, outgoing call, call entering, etc.) in the same folder.  How can I get rid of this?  My "BOLD" is not phone shows logs in the messages folder.

One last thing, is possible to turn off the led status when it is charging - like "BOLD" when you put in bedside Mode.  I thought I did once but can't remember how I did it.

    Thank you.

Hi darwin. To make sure you don't see any phone call info in your messages, press send (green button) and then press menu. Go to options and enable logging of the calls. Select None, and're you good to go. Insofar as the LED flashes during charging, I'm sure that there is not a way to disable this option on your model. The only thing I can think is it turns the face down or introduce it in a case or something I hope I've been helpful!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to set the phone lock and password

I have a new "BOLD" of BB and have forgotten how to program the phone to lock automatically after not used to say 5 or 10 minutes.

You don't say what model # of "BOLD", so these may vary...

    Options > Security > password.

Set the password and the amount time to before the device itself is locked.

  • BlackBerry smartphones when I charge the phone, the keyboard and the screen is always lit

    I have 2 problems, the first is that when I load the phone screen and kaey pad are always as I {m using the phone, the screen never gets dark, what's wrong with my phone? what can I do?}

The second problem is with my battery when I charge the phone it last me only 1 day and it supposed to last 9 days standby according to the specifications of the phone, I recharged during the night and in the morning with no use to 90% and it is last up to half of the day.

I'm not sure of the backlight staying on during the load, but on the second issue, you have probably some applications running in the background.

Remove the battery and restart the device, see how it keeps the burden.

  • II 9550 blackBerry smartphones trying to Re - Sync installation wants to remove 400 + items Cal in Lotus

Only had the Storm II for 4-5 months.  I'm synchronizing the calendar and tasks with Notes v7.0.1.  Somewhere I had many, many duplicate calendar entries in the storm and not duplicated in diary Notes.  To try to resolve I went to:

Office software > Device menu > clear data > calender - all

you seems to have succeeded.  the calendar with the BB seems to be empty.

Office software > Organizer > Calendar Sync > Notes go BB

you seems to have succeeded.  Random audit shows the calendar with the BB "seems" to match the calendar in Notes (I have not checked all items + 400).

Now changed to two-way sync Calendar.

He wants to remove 400 + Notes Calendar items.

    Apparently, I screwed up.

If need to be, I am able to create a copy of my Notes of DBF, leaving Desktop software deleting all entries, restore the original DBF, then Resync.  'If' that would work, and it isn't an easier solution.

    Opinion/solutions?

Thanks in advance for your help

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------,

    Hi wdavro,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Please check that all the calendar entries are present on the device. In your device calendar options, click on each email address to find one with the number of calendar entries.

Check Services Options by default Advanced Options on the device and make sure that the default calendar is set to the same email address.

These articles of the KB can be useful to synchronize your calendar. http://bbry.lv/aMcGlr and http://bbry.lv/b2UjZs
