BlackBerry Smartphones Advanced Options icon missing in the Applications Launcher

Someone help please.  I'm hiding icons and boom, the advances (or) Options Options icon disappeared.  Yes, I clicked on all display, unhid all the hidden icons and still nothing.  Very frustrating.  I don't want to Flash to the BONE.

Thanks in advance for a frequency.  TT

try to change your theme by going to options theme or reset default theme in the same location by selecting your theme, hit your menu button resets the default values.

If you are on a qwerty device, go in your application phone (green call button), click the menu button and select options, General options - set "dial from homescreen" to no Back out and save changes. now, go to the screen of your icon and press the letter O. This should bring you to your option, now click on the back button and the icon options must be highlighted, making it easier to find. Don't forget to change the dial to homescreen return to Yes if you want this functionality.

See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Maps icon missing. Not possible to re - install app

    Hello everyone.

I have a small problem that many users seem to have with BB 8900. A Blackberry Maps application has been installed on my device (version 4.6.1), but to start icon is missing. I saw a few posts about this problem, but none of the proposed solutions seem to work, including reinstallation of the application (to try, I get a message that Blackberry Maps is not compatible with the software I installed). I recently upgraded to OS 4.6.1.231 (Platform 4.2.0.108) so my app is permanently updated. I'm helpless about what to do now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    I understand your point.

BlackBerryMaps can be installed, but it is enabled via a directory of services pushed to your device by the carrier.

And without the Blackberry data Plan, you will not get the maintenance book.

And he does not fast laps with data. Just a white screen with horizontal lines indicating no data.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Keeper of password missing from the OS 6

I upgraded my OS from 5 to 6 (update of Sprint) and when setting everything back up, I could not find password Keeper. I know that many people do not use this app, but it has been very useful because of all the different passwords I use at different times. It is in this operating system or has it been removed? If it does not form part of the operating system, can it be added? I have a backup of my phone before the upgrade, can I at least get back this information to store elsewhere? Thank you for your contribution to this issue.

OK, I managed to confirm that apparently password Keeper is always on OS 6, so something was wrong with the OTA update.

While it is a bit of an extreme response, it's a way enough guarantees to ensure that you get password Keeper on your device.  Try to reload the operating system by following the steps located here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...  When you reach step 3, make sure you check the box for password keeper because he will not automatically be considered.

If you rather not completely loaded the operating system, skip to step 4.  If you do this, then it should just charge on the device password Keeper and leave everything else intact.  But if you want to be thorough, feel free to continue with step 4.

Since you have already loaded the operating system on your computer, you can only proceed to the saving and loading of the operating system (or the application, if you try this way initially).

If you reload the entire OS, and then restore the backup that you made.  Once you have done this, return to this backup of November and you can do a selective restore in BlackBerry Desktop Software 6 (also called an Advanced Restore in BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0 and earlier).  Then, you can simply select the data for password Keeper and restore just this database.

Keep me informed as to how it works.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Annoying Message - "updated versions of the application... Danish. "

I saw at least two other forum posts with Blackberry users having the same problem of software, but am re-quest someone post a clear solution to what I do not understand how to solve this problem and apparently he has not worked for at least six months and it doesn't seem to be the way to contact the media other than a phone call (which I will if I have to). I've updated my software to the latest current version (version 5.0.1) if I still see 4.6 in places and an annoying message continues to be displayed.

Whenever I connect my new BB to my computer and run the Desktop Manager, the Application Loader ALWAYS says:

Version updates of the application listed below are available for your device.

    Danish language support
    Norwegian language support
    Swedish language support

    >>

Question: Should what steps I take to prevent this message from appearing?

    Hello

your current installation of Desktop Manager is configured to look for updates of your OS device on the internet every time that you open the Desktop Manager. the DM sees a new OS is available, and that, outside versions updates to existing modules on the OS, OS contains three new language modules are included.

    • You can either do the update of the operating system on your device (this is the way it is supposed to be according to RIM)
    • You can live with this message. It's a good Zen.
    • You can configure Desktop Manager do not check for updates, which can be done by right-clicking on the taskbar on the 'device' icon, and on one of the tabs, you can uncheck the option.
  • BlackBerry smartphone App world works, but when the applications are downloaded they do not work... Help!

Hi I have a blackberry curve.

My balckberry app world works perfectly find allows me to download anything works very well. But BBM and facebook apps don't work or any other app that I download does not work. Please help me I need my bbm for businesses and personal uses. Thank you

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should talk to your provider of official support and to ensure that you are subscribed to a data plan which is sufficient to enable the services you want:

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones [8520] is possible to extend the applications memory?

I think that my memory of BB 8520 curve for applications is too limited, it is possible to expand to larger storage? or do I have to delete an app to download another? =(

    Hello

AppMemory size is fixed at the time of manufacture. You can not set. You can adjust, it's what you use, starting with the optional components of your operating system (for example, languages you'll never use). A recharge of OS, where you carefully choose your optional components, followed by choosing the applications that you install is the best way to find your optimal configuration.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Options icon missing - not the usual question

    Hello

I'm about to throw this bad boy out the window.  We just got my husband a 8310 (I already have one).  It uses the theme of the Dimension.  He has relocated part of its icons in a new folder.  While he was trying to get them back by deleting the master file, the folder that contains the icon disappeared.  We tried to hit menu - show all (not there).  We also tried a battery pull and return service directories.  I read about a possible problem with the theme of the Dimension not refreshing properly after you create a new file.  Do you think that re - install the software on my laptop and annihilate the phone would work?  Thanks for your help!

Problem solved.  I just had to return the directories of service a second time.

I let a friend play a bit with the phone today. After that, my home screen changed and I could not find a way to restore it.

When using the portrait used to have icons on the screen. Now I have a keyboard showing instead (with numbers and letters, such as a phone. If I flip to the landscape, I get the icons. If I hit the 'menu' button, I get the icons. If I type and click on the screen above the keypad, I get the icons. If I press a selection from the keyboard, it opens the phone and enters the first issue. I would like to have the icons it by default in portrait again. I did a battery pull and looked through the options, but without success.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Second battery pull it cleared up. It was strange. I could change the multi tap keyboard and suretype. But the portrait by default the keyboard upwards. Second battery pull took back me to the default screen, I was used to, with my icons arranged as I wanted them to be.

I couldn't find a solustion for this.  If you delete it in the books of service and then pull the battery that they come back.  The last thing I want is a group of icons pointing me towards places of shopping.  Does anyone found a cure for it?

    Mike

    Hello

Without the service books are necessary to maintain your e-mail services among other things like the maintenance of your

    current phone with the seller.

Here is an article for you to understand that making the books service.

If you don't want to make a folder and hide the icons, just to hide on the home screen.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry Maps is loaded on the NEW Bold 9700, but there is no icon to start the application

You just bought a new Bold 9700.  I ran all of possible update.  BlackBerry Maps IS loaded (v5.0.0).  The operating system is the most recent.  I see BlackBerry Maps in applications of the add-on, but there is no icon to start the application.  The seller is completely useless when it comes to helping solve the problem.  The GPS seems to work and provides the correct location data, but I can't find a way to start the BlackBerry Maps application.  What gives?

GPS still works on the device, even without BlackBerry Maps.

    Try Google maps. Free.
