BlackBerry Smartphones Appts synchronize BB to Outlook

When I add an appointment with my BB, I have four calendars to choose from.

Facebook

[email protected]

[email protected]

[email protected]

When I get the appointment in the calendar of Facebook, they are be synchronized in my Outlook calendar, but none of the other three get synchronized.

Can someone help me fix this so that ALL my appointments get synchronized.  MOST of them entered into [email protected] (company) or [email protected] (staff)

Thank you!

Hi scliff1,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Only the device default calendar will sync with Outlook. This article should help you to merge your multiple calendars device for synchronization. http://bbry.lv/pwj8UB

This blog should provide more information on the use and management of multiple calendars on your BlackBerry. http://bbry.lv/ahPjl9

I have synced my MS Outlook Contact list with my BB Curve 8330.  All my contacts are showing in my BB, but they are not in alphabetical order.  I have the BB address book set to sort by last name.  For example, when I look at my BB address book, contacts appear in the following order: A to F, then he starts A to P, then m to Z.  None of the contacts are repeated.  Can someone help me understand what the problem is?

    Hi Laurie,

I did a search just now and I have a thread for you to try. I can't wait to go back, but your situation was resolved by installing a different (older) version of the Blackberry Desktop software. I have Outlook 2003 and XPpro so I know it works.

Read this and see if it makes sense. I can help you with it if you wish.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones use BB without using Outlook

My company converted the s Treo 650 Blackberry curves about 3 months ago.  We have done very well synchronize the Treo with Palm Desktop.

When we bought the BBs seller failed to mention MS Outlook 2007 was necessary.

We bought it installed and WE ALL HATE OUTLOOK! what a pig! It is slow, complicated and takes too much memory to operate.

We want to get rid of Outlook 2007 and synchronize them with something else.

All my servers are Linux type servers. All our desktops / laptops are WinXP.

My boss wants me to find something ELSEWHERE MS Outlook to synchronize the BBs.

It is ready to buy machines Apple to do so, OR restore BBs to T-Mobile and startover.

NOTE - my boss likes her BB curve... He hates that it cannot synchronize without MS Outlook.

    so...

Why not RIM provides a good desktop market that is synchronized with BBs application?

    and

Anyone (individual or SME) sync to something else besides that MS Outlook?

As I'm born and raised a Windows Guy, I don't know about MAC.

You can also check Gmail they have a synchronization gmobile for the calendar program, I don't know about the contacts. You will find the link in a second.

You can use the gmail on your desktop and your BB calendar and sync the two! Best of all, it's FREE!

Please let me know if this answers your questions.

If you need more information, please ask, if not please take a minute and solve the thread.

  • BlackBerry smartphones when you save in outlook, it save your documents on card?

was wondering if anyone knew. a shame to waste all my .doc files if it is not

Ah... Ok... Manually... and I think this goes for 3rd party applications as well. DTM backup databases of Basic... see this KB:

KB03974 Databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

What I do is to maintain a list of 3rd party apps I have installed on my BB. Because I'm "attention to detail", I still maintain this list of things that I got via AppWorld or other sources that maintain their own list of what I have bought/installed. I also maintain a manual backup to my PC which is on my map of media - now it's easy since it is simply my entire library of music, videos, and only a few documents of any type. But your use may vary.

    Hope that helps!

  • Slow blackBerry smartphones to synchronize Outlook 2007 <>- DM 4.6

My clocks are running 4 minutes even if no records have been changed.

    Win XP

Synchronization is displayed to review all records in the contacts of the device twice ('reading', and then 'transformation'), even if no changes have been made.

I just spent an hour by inserting in the escalation process to get an answer to the question of the slow sync.

Function of Blackberry technical support, starting with DM 4.3 consistency checking occurs much more on each synchronization.  Each record is checked once again, even the records without modification.  Then your synchronization time depend on the size of your database, not the number of recent changes.  Apparently the Blackberry is aspiring to the levels of corruption much lower than its competitors.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to synchronize Microsoft Outlook on a PC at home

Hello, I just bought a Blackberry "BOLD". I'm a home user, with Microsoft Outlook used on my home PC (obviously with no server - I use POP3 to download emails in there). How can I sync the Outlook Inbox with my camera, when I am connected with the UBS cable of course? I do not expect a wireless connection, but the Inbox synchronization and files, which contain old messages I keek on my device. Help appreciated

You can not, you need any exchange server to synchronize messages between the device and the Outlook on your pc.

For your position, you're under BIS, and you need BES to synchronize emails.

BIS - BlackBerry Internet Service = e-mail service provided by the respective carrier. AT & T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Rogers, etc, etc...

BES - BlackBerry Enterprise Server = email service provided by a server managed by a company. For example, by your employer...

  • Lost Outlook Contacts on the computer - BB blackBerry smartphones can synchronize all back?

For reasons of computer problems, Dell had to take back me to factory settings - Ugh. When they backed up all my data they accidentally left to all my Contacts in Outlook. So, I lost all of them. Question... my BB Curve 8310 will put them all back in Outlook when I sync? I'm afraid to try it without asking. At least I have all my Contacts on my BB.

Of course, when you synchronize they update the other... but a list of Contact TOGETHER? More than 300 of them?

Thanks a lot to anyone who has any idea!

Yes, it will be. By default your synchronization parameter must be set to "bilateral" and handheld should update the PC Outlook file.

AS a measure of PRECAUTION, first of all, by using Desktop Manager, making a full backup of your BlackBerry (should you accidentally set your PC to "win" in any conflict", it"might"delete your contacts in Pocket). The backup will be a rescue rope.

You can check the C: > synchronization settings, I would recommend that you set to "notify me" of the any conflicts.

From my understanding, Desktop Manager will be synchronized to Outlook, not BCM.
