  Hi, the thing is that my blackberry curve has got some kind of virus and the fact that I had to reset it.   The message indicates that a previous version of App World already exists on your device and I can confirm you are you update your version of App World? If it is then you can go ahead and download the App World version which will replace the older.

• BlackBerry smartphones can not download App World on my Blackberry

  I'm guetting very frustrated by this, I think I tried everything to get the app on my BB world, I'm very curious about this function and I want to get applcations so I can customize my BB my way, but it seems impossible to download App World on my BB.

  I've been on the site Web of BB and I sent an email to my email with the link to download the App World and the i have access through my BB browser, but then when I click on download it says my device/bowser is not compatible, so the download is impossible,.

  I tried to download on my PC using IE but againg the answer is the same, I have to use IE to download (which is ironic because I only use IE)

  I seriously need help because I got frustrated, I wonder if someone could help me here.

  Fix. Looks like it's the only thing that you need to access the App World. If you don't have a data plan then you can still download the applications individually. The App World just to find and isntalling a lot easier. Many applications now require however have a BlackBerry data plan in order to work.

  Remove the battery from your device, and then try again.

  I have a Curve 8320 thru ATT, and I was wondering if there is a way to download apps from the App World without having a data plan fee? It seems a shame that there are some useful applications that do not require the internet or a web browser to work and I would be able to download them. I know that the FAQ in the support section said her need but I was hoping that there was another way. I appreciate anyones help with this. Thank you.

  Well, there is a solution available probably in many cases. For example, AppWorld is nothing more than a large Center commercial... is not the manufacturer of the finished product. So, we could guess that search the apps you want and go directly to the application developer, bypassing AppWorld and carrier entirely. This might work... but I guess I should not formally recommend such an approach... so don't say no matter who!

  BlackBerry has sent me a message that an update was available for one of my apps game 'shoppers paradise '.   When I click on the link to download the upgrade, it gives me an error message that the upgrade is not available via App World.

  Could have happened to several things:

  (1) the proponent has misidentified something and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

  (2) RIM has made a mistake and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

  (3) there may be some technical problem that it blocks

  (4) I don't know there is more...

  As to your question:

  It is impossible for anyone here to know the answer to this. What I suggest is that you contact the developer of the app and report it. They have a different channel in RIM thanks to which they can increase getting AppWorld corrected to properly distribute their application.

  If you want to degenerate into RIM, you through your formal support channel - your carrier.

• BlackBerry smartphones I can't find BBM or App World on my device

  I recently did an update on the applications and I restarted my phone (as they usually do), which was yesterday or the day before. However only today, I realized that I can't BBM or App World. I did almost everything I can. Click View all, did a battery pull, turn off the phone and he started to come back. sought the phone for him, switch application, clicked to see if it was open it. I don't know what I can do or what I did to make this happen and advice or information would be really useful if you please. Info on the device: BlackBerry Torch 9800 um software current version is 6.0 Bundle 695

  This answer applies to these two posters above.

  Connect your phone to your PC via the USB port.  Open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Click device in up and restoration in the menu dropdown.  (If you did no backup, go to the next paragraph).  Choose the most recent backup file, making sure that it is checked and click on restore or OK or anything that is the command prompt.  This should restore everything on your phone correctly.

  If you did a backup on your phone, open Desktop software, click device up and update the menu drop down.  They tell you your phone is updated (if it doesn't, choose the update if you wish.  Otherwise, go to my sense).  In this box, you'll see other Versions.  Click on that and make sure that your current version, probably the one on the top of the list, is checked.  Click Update and wait outside.  All icons and programs must be restored to your phone.

  I just got my BB Bold 9650 this week. Today, I was invited to upgade the OS and after 2 hours it was full. After resigning in FB, twitter and a few games, I thought I was ready. HOWEVER, my BB App World icon is missing. I went and tried to download it again and a message came that said that I already had the current version, so I tried to replace to get the pop-up icon. Who froze my phone. After a reboot nothing.

  Now, I tried to go online and download a game to see if it would inspire people to come. During the downlaod a message came that said that my operating system does not support.

  SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE TO FIND MY APP WORLD.  I'm VERY frustrated with BB.

  Restart both your 8530 (perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.) and the PlayBook (tap the battery icon > restart) and try again after the bridge connection.
