  If you use a legacy BBOS model, remove the battery from the power, wait 30 seconds, put the battery back and try again. If you use a model BB10, try a soft reset first. There are two ways to do a soft reset and if the first doesn't work try the other method. If the soft reset does not work, and if you have a removable battery, then remove the battery for a few minutes and then try again.

  First check, open the main menu, press the menu key and select just check "Display all icons" if she is not there. Otherwise, go to your BlackBerry browser and go to http://mobile.blackberry.com and select "Visit BlackBerry App World" here to try to make a download of the app, it should redirect you to the application on the phone.   OK I just looked at my records that I received with my BB Storm the other day.  It's the 9530.  There is only the VCast & BB media sync, but the button for Media Manager does not work... I watched the disc and there no Media Manager... now what?  I am running Windows Vista Premium Home OS, and I have the Desktop Manager 4.7 version.  Where the hell is the Media Manager and since I can't find it, y at - it a downloadable version of it somewhere on the net?  Please HELP I am ready to pull my hair!

  I had to talk to the reps to Blackberry and apparently some discs did NOT have the media for a reason Manager any.  The option was left aside.

  After much frustration, I finally got my answer.

  Format your card of media phones first, it on your phone.  Once done you will have a folder on your computer, when the phone is plugged into the computer, which said device BLACKBERRY and BLACKBERRY Media Card.  You can simply drag and drop into specified folders (for me it was the videos).

  If you already have a converter media it is the perfect way to do it and the video should be MP4 (at least that's all so far, I have converted)

  For the Media Manager, go here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ but make sure you that you have uninstalled the Manager of the desktop of your computer first, and then re - install using the download from the link above.  I did it and it works fine now.

  FYI - the Roxio is slower than the second coming during the conversion.  First use the reformat your phone option, and then use roxio if you do not have a Media Converter.  There are other media there converters that are much faster.  I have one for my Zune that allows to convert a movie in about 20 minutes or more and then it's in the right format for the phone.

  When you say that you do not find the "e-mail account" icon do you mean the installation wizard?

  OK, im tired of Google looking for help on this topic without finding answers

  I bought a Storm 9520 on vodafone just after the new year and so far ive just are a total pain. I can open the bbm and when I add people or they add me, applications just not send.

  Also, my contract said it came with email free blackberry, I did not. Infact I can not get any email on the phone, he sends me just an Assistant where I need a password I do not know.

  Facebook app connects - I get the message "cannot connect because a data service is not available...". ». When I try and send a photo on facebook... nothing, just to get the same message. So far ive been using the browser for Facebook that works very well, with wifi, so I know I can get internet.

  Its my first blackberry and if I can't find a resolution to this problem it will definitely be my last.

  Is that what Im missing? Everything I should have done when I got to the phone?

  Any ideas? Help, please!

  Sorry for this late reply, completely forgotten about this post, but better late than never just to get closure on this.

  It was really simple, I just had to ring upward, my data service had not been activated. When I received the phone the sim card initially had not enabled so I had to ring upwards to activate this aswell, looks like they forgot to activate the services on my sim card at all.

  Had no email either... still need to ring upwards to activate that.

  I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

  1. open the App World

  2. go to my world

  3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

  3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

  3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

  3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

  4 AppWorld must close.

  5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

  6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

  If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

  I just got my BB Bold 9650 this week. Today, I was invited to upgade the OS and after 2 hours it was full. After resigning in FB, twitter and a few games, I thought I was ready.
