HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on a brand new desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I downloaded the latest software, and when I run it, the installation window disappears shortly after it starts.  No error message.  I ran into several related issues lately.  I can't install a ScanJet 5590 on a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.  Said it ends, but nothing is installed.   Could the fact that there are other HP printers installed on these computers (network printers) installed using driver only before attempting to install the software cause problems?  I spent hours trying to solve these.

    OK, much better progress!

If the software is always installed, tell him you'll connect later.

Go to devices and printers, look for the printer here, make sure you that no documents waiting to print and delete the printer if it is there.

Then go into Device Manager and remove all photosmart series 3200 drivers you find, you may need to click displays hidden on the view menu.

Thirdly, go back to the devices and printers. Select another printer, as the writer XPS comes with Windows. Along the top, with adding a device, add a printer, print server, you will see properties. What to choose and go to the tab drivers. If you have the HP drivers in there you do not, select them and choose delete and "delete the driver only."

Now restart and go to your Start menu and your HP folder. You must have installed the software, just no device driver, select "add a device" or "printer setup and software." Installation should complete without problem.

One last thing, you must temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus installation, in which case he mistakingly tries to block the attempt to install.

    Good impression!

  • Cannot install HP PhotoSmart 3210 on 8.1, 64-bit Windows. You want to start.

Goal: Printer install HP Photosmart 3210, FUll CV utility (Solution Center, Photo Creations, etc.) on a new DELL system running Windows 8.1, 64-bit.

Hardware configuration: The HP 3210 is connected by Ethernet to Western Digital My Net N750 router.  Two computers are connected to the same router: a race of all-in-one DELL 8.1 of Windows with all updates installed (this is the system I am trying to install the HP software on) and an Apple iMac, I need only basic printing capability.  Both computers are temporarily connected via WiFi; This will be changed to Ethernet at a later date.  The router using DHCP to assign IP addresses to devices, including printer.  I can ping the printer from two computers.  I can set up the HP embedded web server on both computers.  The iMac can print and scan from the printer.

Short story: I tried several times to install the printer drivers and the HP utility software on Windows 8.1 System.  At one point, I installed the drivers, but not able to install the utilities.  When I finally got the utilities installed, they did not see the printer.  At the present time, even the notebook can not see the printer.  The mistakes that I've seen are:
-"The system cannot find the file specified."  (the name of the file contained the string ice_suffix.  "I believe that this failure was due to the presence of McAfee Security software, using msconfig more later disabled.)
    -BSOD BAD_POOL_ERROR
-No network detected (from HP Install Wizard) device
"This app prevents you to restart" (the title of the app was "HP all-in-one series")
I tried the wizard install the HP add a tool of the device, the print and Scan doctor and several other things.  I did a level 4 uninstall as described below, which has encountered an error in an early phase, but continued after I clicked "OK".  I installed the latest version of Flash.  The System File Checker has been run when the system was first installed on May 29 and found no problem.  I temporarily wired the printer directly on the Windows system via USB (and then put it back on the router).  I have reset the printer by removing the power for a minute, etc, etc.

At this point, I would like to clean the system as much as possible and try again from scratch, using the installation wizard.  Based on my experience so far and a careful reading of the many positions installation - problems on this forum, I created a checklist of proposed to achieve this.

My request on the forum: Please see the checklist.  I won't go forward until it has been approved as being complete and accurate.  Missing something?  Nothing is unnecessary?  The order should be changed?

NOTE: Step 6 assume that you have already tried to install the software and therefore to have a copy of the uninstaller on the system utilities.  In my case it is true.

1 connect the printer to the router via Ethernet.  (This is my current setup).
2 turn on the printer.  Unplug the power cable from the back of the printer.  Wait at least one minute.  Reconnect the power cable.  Wait for the printer to initialize.
    3. do a "clean boot": (now RMB) do a right-click on the icon of window in the lower left of the screen.  Select 'run '.  Enter "msconfig".  Click on 'OK '.  In the Services tab, check "hide all Microsoft Services".  Click on "disable all".  In the Startup tab, click on "Open Task Manager".  On the start of the Task Manager tab, click the top entry and then click "disable".  Repeat for each entry in the list.  Verify that the status column now contains "Disabled" for each entry.  Click on the 'X' at the top right of the window to close the Task Manager.  In the System Configuration window, click 'OK '.
    4. RESTART the system to perform a start without the Services and start disabled.
    5. connect to an administrator ID.  This must be the ID used previously to try to install the software.
6 do an uninstall of level 4: RMB on the icon of the window in the lower left corner of the screen.  Select 'run '.  Enter '%Temp% '.  Click on 'OK '.  In the resulting display folder (supposed to be in C:/Users / 'ID' / AppData/Local/Temp, where 'ID' is your user ID) enter "Uninstall_L4" in the search box at top right of the screen.  This should find 'Uninstall_L4.bat' (supposed to be in C:/Users / 'ID' / AppData/Local/Temp/7zS0 * / util/ccc).  Click (or double-click if your system is configured to require that).  [NOTE: several forum posts say to use L4uninstall.exe, but this file is not anywhere in the Temp folder on my system.]
7 meet the need of all the prompts that appear.  A final prompt will tell you that a restart is required.  If two windows appear at the same time, both with "Restart" buttons on them, click the button in the larger window.  [Note from experience: when I click on restart in the small window, WIndows complained that he could not start because the larger window was always active.]
    8. once the system restarted, RMB-the icon of the window > run--> msiexec /unreg-> OK, then run RMB window icon->-> msiexec/regserver-> OK.
    9. check that the uninstall and complete if necessary:
Look in C:/Program Files (x 86) for HP records; If found, delete them.
Look in C:/Program Data HP records; If found, delete them.
RMB-> the icon of the window run-> % Temp %-> OK.  Delete all files in the folder that results.  [NOTE that it prevents to run uninstall again until installation has been completed, since it is where are the uninstall files.]
RMB-> Panel window icon-> devices and printers.  If the HP 3200 Series is broadcast, RMB-> remove the instrument.
RMB icon window-> Control Panel-> system-> device-> tab Manager display-> show hidden devices.  Expand "Printing queues" (click the triangle).  When a HP 3200 queue exists, RMB on it and click on uninstall.  Expand "Printers" and do the same thing.
RMB-> run-> regedit window icon-> OK. Scroll to the top of the list.  Click on 'Computer' to establish a starting point.  Edit-> Find... check the box "Keys", uncheck the 'Values', 'Data' and "Match whole string only" boxes.  In the "Search" box enter "HP." (including interval)-> then find.  [NOPE, that is not all HP keys and found a few that seem not to be HP (for example SOAHP. (DLL). a search for "HP" finds lots of unrelated keys.  Is a good way to clean the registry if level 4 uninstall it did not?]  Use F3 to search for subsequent entries.  For those who are clearly HP related [How can I be sure?], RMB on the key, and select 'delete '.  [Yes, it's dangerous and without greater clarity I won't actually, but I don't like leaving orphans key autour.]
    10. run Disk Cleanup.  Click the window to access a screen start or Apps.  Type "Disk Cleanup".  Click on "free disk space by deleting unnecessary files.  Check the desired boxes.  Click OK.  Wait for the course to complete.
    11 RESTART the system.
12 install the HP software.  Pointing a browser on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL50403/mp-122330-1/hppiw.exe to download the wizard, then run the downloaded file.  On the first prompt screen, click "install".  When you are prompted, select custom installation.  "Uncheck the box 'Unique consumables HP', 'scheme Customer Participation', and ' bing for HP bar '.  When you are prompted for the update preference, select "Ask before updating" [my wife, nonnegotiable preference] remove useful tips and suggestions.  Click on 'Next' as required.  When you are prompted, select the Ethernet connection.  The printer must be discovered.  [On one attempt, at this point, that I received the message "the requested service is not found".  Of course, there is that HP Services listed in msconfig, but in order to get that much, I had turned off them ("clean boot").  This seems to be a catch-22 situation, unless these services should have automatically started earlier in the installation process.]
13 RESTART.  This is necessary at the end of the installation process.  ["Clean boot" conditions hold back at this point?  If so, I'll have to restore the Services and Startup items later and antother restart.  [When is is safe to do so, that is how do you know that the installation of HP is really over?]

Again, the purpose of this post is to validate the above list.  Your informed comments will be appreciated.

  • Update removes himself from the software update for Photosmart 3210 (Snow Lepoard)

    Hi-

So I recently installed the full software for my HP Photosmart 3210 for my mac which is under Snow Leopard. However each time I run the software update / sometimes it automatically prompts for installation:

Drivers HP Update V2.3 size: 4.8 MB

I always choose to install it but for some reason it doesn't seem to withdraw from the automatic update. Either I think its not install or not really sure. I checked the version number on the HP Installation Wizard on my computer, I installed a this is version 2.3.15. I don't really know what to do.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Do you really need it?  Snow Leopard has print and scan drivers built into the OS, so the HP software is not necessary.

    To uninstall completely that it:

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Now run a software update.

Then, remove and reinstall the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.

Scan from preview or Capture of Image apps. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.

HP Photosmart 3210 - old but already reliable.  Mavericks installed within the last few days.

The line with 2345 X seems to be typed after the correct draw is complete, but page is not pushed to the next printed document is initiated. Line 2 is printed our apparently at random, when printer is idle.  Twice while I typed this

I tried to delete the printer and reinstall after verifying the software update.  He has not fixed the problem.

    Hi wbt1,

The patch is compatible with Snow Leopard 10.6, and I am confident that he will solve the problem. This HP Print Driver Update solves the problem with HP inkjet products that causes an extra page to print once planned.

  • PhotoSmart 3210 - unhandled exception NET, library, etc.

I managed to install the Photosmart 3210 while a full software functionality on several of my laptops HP XP SP3.

Drunk after that I have install on the current, one when I try to start the Solution Center to perform a scan or PhotoSmart first, so-called PhotoGallery trying to start or to settle and gets finally in a loop with an exception unhandled in the Net Framework.  I found many reports of the present on the web, but no solution that seems to work.  Sometimes, it isn't PhotoGallery but Document Viewer who tries to start.

No idea how to solve this problem?  Thank you.

It is possible that the window XP SP3 is the problem.  I bought a used laptop to SP2 on ebay and have now installed the Photosmart 3210 software with only a few minor problems.

Maybe I was wrong about my previous systems as SP3, maybe they were SP2.

Installtion on SP2 has not been without hassles.  The system froze or some of its parts hung a couple of times I got a message saying that 'data execution prevention' had extinguished a few module.  Which seems to fix things was going into Control Panel, system, advanced, settings of performance and say things to turn on dep except fo RL module there demolish.  A lot of tension and backup then during all this.  I don't have this problem when the old facilities which worked, in fact, I had never heard of before data execution prevention.

I noticed before starting the 3210 software install NET framework 1.1 was already on the system.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting,

This may be a problem with ports,

Please click on start and then click on devices and printers and then right-click on the Photosmart 3210 printer and click printer properties. In the printer properties window, click the ports tab and check if the selected ports is with the IP address of the printer also check if it is the WSD port. If the selected port is not the one with the IP address of the printer, select one with the IP address of the printer and also make sure that it's not a WSD port and the TCP/IP port. If a selected port type is WSD, select Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer. If you can't find any port in the list with the IP address of the printer, and then click Add port and then select TCP/IP Standard and enter the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the port and then click on apply and then try to print.

If the problem persists even after ensuring that the selected port is with the printer IP address o FLE, then try disabling the firewall installed on your computer (if any) software and then try to print.

  • Wireless using Photosmart 7280 AIO and Photosmart 3210 AIO USB - installation problem

I use Windows XP sp2. The 7280 is new, so I was told HP support completely uninstall all my computer HP software, then install more software 7280, then use the menu option 'Add device' on the installation software of 7280 again to install the 3210. I have installed suceesfully 7280 software and am able to access the 7280 on my wireless LAN. However, when I use the installation of 'Add device' in the installation software, I get the dialog box 'Connect Your Device Now' (following the instructions for the installation of the USB) and when I connect the USB to my 3210 to the computer, I get the Windows Wizard 'addition of material", which is unable to locate the drivers for the 3210. The button 'Next' in the 'Connect Your Device Now' dialog box is not enabled, so I can't continue. It seems strange to me that Windows identifies the device but the HP software does not see. The 3210 is not in my list of printers in Windows.

Even more strangely, yesterday I ran the base driver and utility download for the 3210 off the coast of the HP site after installing the 7280 software (probably shouldn't have done) and everything worked, I was able to print on both devices, however this morning when I turned on the computer I got a HP dialog box telling me that the installation failed and it can uninstall some software including all drivers 3210.

Any suggestions? What I have to spend 2 + hours to uninstall and reinstall from the beginning again?

Well, I think that I solved, at least as well as is possible. I just uninstalled, installed all the 3210 drivers downloaded from HP, then install the software suite full 7280. Both printers are available and print jobs, but the HP Solution Center software only allows me to access the AIO 7280, so I guess I won't be able to scan from my 3210 on my computer - I have to use the 7280 for this. I didn't install the software suite full of the 3210 - maybe that would give me two centers solutions HP (two different versions), one for the 3210 and one for the 7280...

Incidentally, I don't have the CD 3210 - I think I have lost - so I'm dependent on the HP download page.

Thank you, Sean.   Scanning is now the induvidual pictures production. But I had todo several other procedures.

I have reset the printer according to your instructions, but it had the same negative results.

I then unplugged the power from the printer and the signal cables, and then reconnected them and restarted the printer. I then reset the printer by you instructions.  I restarted my iMac's "HP Scan", selected slides in the HP scan profiles and pressed 'Scan '.  The result was four individual images.

    HP Photosmart 3210

error message: "replace the following empty ink cartridge to continue printing" on a brand new Blue cartridge.

I do not often use the printer. Last summer, he started asking me to replace some empty cartridges. So far, I have fill all of them. All the other cartridges are fine when they are rfilled and replace except blue. So, I bought a brand new blue ink cartridge. But the printer keeps giving the same error message.

How can I solve this? Any other issue could cause this error message? Is that my printer is totally out? so disappointed...

    Thank you!

    HI -.

Unfortunately, the only other thing I can think is to try a reset of the printer.  With the printer on, remove the power cord 2 to the back of the printer, and then from the socket.  Wait 60 seconds and reconnect the power cord the printer and the power outlet.  If that does not take care of him, the printer will probably need service, though it may be more cost effective to get a new printer.  You can find options to contact the HP Support here.

Sorry we were not able to solve.
