Does anyone know if the bb 8320 block certain phone numbers, 800 # s or any number?

    TY!

Salvation and welocome on the forums! There is no option on the BB which will allow that. Your carrier will have a call. You can have your carrier block these numbers. There is a free app called ICALLmanager that I use. It allows you to blacklist numbers, numbers unknown to send directly to VM, allows calls only from your address book and a do not disturb option where all calls are sent to the virtual computer. Here is the link for Icall http://www.i-softwarelabs.com/icml.html I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions. If this isn't the case, please take a few minutes to solve this thread using the options of the Kudo star. Thank you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blocked Facebook application

I bought the Blackberry Torch 9800 in my company. The Facebook application is blocked, a message as follows:

"This application have been blocked by your administrator of business system. Contact your system administrator for more information."

You would be able to help me unlocked so that I can used the Facebook via wifi.

Hello and welcome to the community!

If your BB is still enabled on your business system, you must talk to your BES admins... they apply this block through BES IT policy.

If you want to say that you are separate from your company and no longer use their services, then their BES admins does not correctly clean your device when they gave it to you. In this case, you need this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

You must of course a full backup first, the instructions for which you can find in my auto-sig on this post. But when you restore, make sure you DON'T make a full restore... just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.), especially avoiding any database that have nothing to with politics COMPUTER, company, etc.. If you do not restore those, you find yourself right back where you are now, because who will dutifully restore politics to the TI back to your BB.

    Good luck!

    Hello

I have this person harassing me and was wondering if there was a way to get all the calls from a blocked number?

    Thank you

Your company might be able to do. I'm not aware of what anyone on a BB that does this... at least not native. You never know what clever 3rd party applications that can be developed in this world! Anyway, here's the official KB in this issue:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blocked broswer

    Hello

I use a 9900 AT & T unlocked, whenever I try to access internet/browser I get an error: blocked browser.

I have tried reloading the software to the latest version, register the device, return service directories. Nothing works...

can you advice of all the other options?

    Hello nahmean_11

In the error message, it shows that you lack, BlackBerry data Plan or data plan normal but as you said that you have a data plan unlimited which should at least allow lets you browse. That your device isn't allow it could happen only under two conditions.

As you say it is a device to unlock the AT & T, but I think only under the condition that two may not allow you to use these services. First of all if this device is still blocked for the previous carrier and this is not Unlocked. To know that on your home screen, go to:

    OS 6.0 and beyond:

Options > device > Advanced system settings > SIM card

Type MEPD on the screen (you will not see the letters that you type on the screen).

Look for the network. If you see active, your BlackBerry is LOCKED. And if the people with reduced mobility, so your BlackBerry is UNLOCKED.

Second, there is still a policy on the device which restricts this service and this case try this:

KB14202 : how to remove an it of a BlackBerry smart phone strategy. or try this KB02318

    Try it and tell us

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, blocking a volley BB Bold 9000 - Vodafone

This is my first post on the BB community forum. To be with, l, I would like to say a warm hello to everything that you guys.

I hope that I am not rest this problem, if there is a similar thread, please re - direct me to it.

So, I am owner of a curve 8520, had with a full data plan Orange Romania and I have pretty much everything that I need on this subject, perfect phone

One of my friends recently got a BB Bold 9000, but he did not have a data only plan if no internet connection 3G for him, only a wi - fi connection. We had time to "pimping" his aircraft, updated the software, installed a few applications from my PC.

Now, the phone got stolen last night, and we know that he BBs are the best phones because of their safety. So we decided to block it and I started looking for how to do this.

So far, I know that is by providing the IMEI code of the device to the carrier, which will ban it, which makes the phone unusable for calls.

The second way, in my opinion, is related to the BlackBerry Protect application. Now, I don't know if it had installed the application, I tend to believe that there can be no...

My question is, if we know that the pin of the device, IMEI, and all the other news that comes with the box and the device was not installed the BB Protect application, can't we still block the phone?

I even read that there is this cool feature that allows the person who holds the stolen phone to call just one number to give it.

I think that the main problem here is going to be proving the phone is actually hers since he got his aunt and he doesn't have a contract of carriage, it uses the prepaid credit to call.

I believe that the version of the software on the device is 5.0.0.681 (Bundle 1168, platform 5.2.0.67) if that helps, but I can't guarantee that. The version is the one I have on my phone that I did not update since I got it, and we him demoted to on my CD of support because he had some problems with the former owner.

Thank you and have a wonderful evening!

The phone is stolen, not much, you can do but in order to report this to the carrier and let them deal with him.  Without blackberry protect, don't know how you can try the other stuff you mentioned.  The phone could be in a dumpster somewhere now, so I would not spend a lot of time on it.  Report stolen from the carrier and, hopefully, he can get soon replaced.

Please, on this new device, download blackberry protect.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, adding additional numbers for Smart Dial number

Is there a way to program a number of smart dial, so that I can add additional numbers at the end of the number as an extension and a PIN so that I don't have to create them manually? My old RAZR phone did this and it was very convenient to call my Office VM of the road.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello, it is possible.
You can add a pause (fixed term) or a wait (you click once to add the code).
It is in the help of your phone application you will find in the menu...

For more convenience, it is also available online. Here's the paragraph:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Block of emails?

Is it possible to get the Trojan virus Virtumonde on the 8900? Of my friends have this virus on their computer, I get these emails on my 8900. Should I block mails on my phone? If yes how can I block the on my phone?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

To my knowledge, no virus has yet been published that will infect a BB... most are written for MS Windows OS, which is not the BB.

To block the emails (if you are on BIS), you can use the filters:

KB04558 Add a filter to a BlackBerry Internet Service account

    Good luck!
