BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth - love, hate, or am I just confused?

I have a tower and the VM-605 Bluetooth Visor Mount Speakerphone. No problem with pairing or connection, etc.

My question is: How do I quickly disconnect the Bluetooth device to receive an incoming call?

Here's the scenario. I always turn on the VM-605 when I get in my car and it pairs / connects to my turn very well. When I get home and Park the car in my garage, I turn off the VM-605. However, the other day, I was at the House of someone else and forgot to turn off the VM-605. I was inside the House when I got an incoming call. Instinctively, I tried to answer, but heard nothing. In a nanosecond, I realized that the Bluetooth connection is still active. I started fumbling with my turn to disconnect the Bluetooth device, but by then that the appellant had waived. Fortunately it wasn't an emergency.

Later that same day, I got out of my car to pump gas. Suddenly, I remembered that I'm always wireless connected to the VM-605. So, I thought I'd better start asking questions and thought that it would be the best place to start.

I am not entirely new to Bluetooth, but it has been awhile. I've owned my tour for only a few months, and this is my first BlackBerry.

Notice to lovers?

Thanks in advance,

RayK

No answer to this, but in the case that someone else needs to know, I finally had this resolved. I already had the application of NikkiSoft QuickLaunch. The latest version (v2.12.4) for the tour has a Bluetooth function on or off. I only got the upgrade of QuickLaunch today, but can see that this feature will be very useful.

Thank you

Ray K.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones bluetooth on pearl 9105 - does not work

is not working for an another BB even an another 9105... I can 'connect' by bluetooth with other devices but cant transfer any image or receive, either

    who is wrong?

    Hello!

    See this KB:

    • KB05409 Transfer a file using Bluetooth technology between two BlackBerry smartphones

If your device is non - BB, then substitute in the KB, the instructions appropriate for your device. Unless you're on BB OS 6 or 7, do not skip the step of "Receive using BlueTooth" on the receiver BB... nothing will transfer if you do.

If not, please provide additional details... exactly the steps you try, exactly the results, error messages, etc. Such brief information, it is difficult to provide specific assistance to our internet distance.

Good luck and let us know!

If I had the wrong password for my 8220 a) which is the default provided with the phone and b) how I could change me if I don't know that I'd put it please?

Replace the instructions appropriate for your other device instead of the transmitter unit KB section in the KB. Do not jump 'BT help to receive' step on the BB receiver... nothing will transfer if you do.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Bluetooth and Caller ID

    Hi all!

New to the forum and there seems to be a lot of information to absorb around here.  I searched for a while, without success, an answer to the following question:

Any BlackBerry smartphones (Bold, Tour, Cure, etc.) send two contact person AND number via bluetooth caller ID info or just the phone number?

I'm playing with a Gigaset One / XLink Bluetooth gateway for home phones and that the number is going on the wireless phone, even if the name is known and displayed on my phone.  The manufacturer said that not all phones will send the name even if it is stored.

So, I'm trying to understand if the BlackBerry 9000 "BOLD" does not send name, gateway does not pass along or cordless phone is not read it.

Any help or information relating to the identification of the appellant via bluetooth would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Well, it seems that only the BlackBerry phones send only the number and not the name when it comes to Bluetooth caller ID information.  Even if you have contacts stored in your phone, and it comes up with a name and a number, only the number will be sent to the Bluetooth device.

I received an email from XLink, indicating as they do know that the MotoRokr and iPhone (no specified people) actually don't send name and number calling info ID via Bluetooth, but BlackBerry does not.  I would check this info before I bet on it if.

So, if you plan to use a Bluetooth compatible device to read or make the ID information calling pass of your BlackBerry terminal (telephone wireless, hands-free system, etc.) certainly has enough space to hold all of your contacts that you will get only the Caller ID names for numbers stored in the terminal.

In addition, you do not want to look for one who can read contacts via Bluetooth from your mobile/smartphone specific rather than spending hours entering all contacts by hand.

My headache started when I bought a Gigaset One / Xlink Cellular Gateway and has not obtained the names of the caller ID on the AT & T wireless phone.  Many cordless phones have only a directory number 50 which is not sufficient.  This phone has replaced by TL92270 of AT & T that indicates it can match and 1500 charge contacts of 4 cell phones (Yes, 6000 in total).  That should be enough... :-)

    Hello!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, try to activate the BT... If so, then think... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If BT does not work, then you can have some serious corruption of OS level, for which a clean reload of the OS could be the cure.

At the top of each forum device, there should be some 'sticky' threads dealing with the level of the OS available for many models. If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Don't forget that you remove, since your PC, any other BB OS devices as packages with more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try this procedure might limit the specific causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • Notes and blackBerry Smartphones BB10 love

    Dear BB and friends,

I don't see other areas where I would share my thoughts so I thought I'd put it here.

BlackBerry, I am a new convert and am very happy with my Z10.  Good job on what you did with BB10 and I hope that you can continue your efforts are very obvious to me and many of your fans.

I had a few suggestions for changes to existing and features native applications:

    • I know that you will have this work to the point 10.2 but still keen to highlight its functionality will be greatly appreciated.  I would really like to see multiple added alarm features.  I find it very useful.
    • In the calendar application, I would like to be able to set the snooze time to something very similar, as I would say in Microsoft Outlook.  For example, I could choose the default value of 5 minutes, or 10 or 5 minutes before the time of the meeting.  Finally, I could choose 0 minutes, or any other term, to alert me at the meeting.  You might consider adding this feature to the clock so app.  Maybe the effect can be achieved by pressing the snooze button to display the option to change the time.  I'll leave the coding to your talented team awesomeness.
    • The calendar of the dredded carrier releases.  I'm a developer, but don't have to work with these companies that can make or break your bank fortunately.  I'm sure that has been suggested by my thoughts are why entered the carrier could not be left down for software radio?  All changes to the OS could / should be another package that should always be tested to connect to any version of the software radio.  Which would, in theory, allows you to control the output of the main components of the operating system compared to how it seems to work now.  When a radio must be updated, you will be able to coordinate with the carrier to meet the stated requirements, but if you add just with features like say 10.1.0.xxxx to a new version, you could make the output.  I'm sure that its not as simple as I said it, but I wonder if this could be done?  I'm fairly certain I saw AT & T updates separate Apple updates only when I was on the iPhone.
    • Images folder be updated as soon as you remove one of the first four applications.  I don't download a lot of apps, but say that if I tried a game and then delete it, the folder keeps a reference to the application of the old icon.  Bug of aesthetics.
    • The HUB is the largest communication service, I've had to date, thank you!  Also your email support is on par and better then the main desktop clients.  Thank you.
    • To remain at the same level as the efforts of Nokia and Microsoft, I would consider a plugin panoramic native to the camera.  And while that could image stabilisation on the theme of the camera, not stand on the use of the flash?  Just curious.
    • To compete with Android and attract children flashy, you might consider some kind of support of light entertainment for the lock screen.

Thank you for taking the time to review.  Love the BB10 platform, hope to see lots of good things.  Keep it up.

    Nice day

    Welcome to the BB forums

Just note that this forum is not run by any employee of Blackberry, great tips and happy of your enjoying your Z10
