BlackBerry Smartphones calendar in Microsoft Outlook synchronization

I use Outlook 2000 on windows XP.  I try to sync my bb to the calendar only.  However it is not upward to aid the option Outlook to highlight.  I copied the screen below as an example.  You can see that Microsoft Outlook is an option here.  However on my pc/bb it only offers me ASCII or Yahoo as a request option?  Where I'm going wrong?

My old phone - the Samsung Omnia n ' no problems of synchronization with Outlook calendar.  Interestingly, if I check the contacts box, it offers Outlook Express as an application?

Someone at - it ideas?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You don't say, but you can use a version of DTM which is too recent for your version of Outlook - see this KB:

Desktop Manager 5.0 does not support Outlook 2000.

You will need to download and install version 4.2, Service Pack 2 for the DM.

    Or update your Outlook.

  • Contacts synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry and calendar - problems with Outlook Connector (and other things).

    Hello world

I just got my first BlackBerry (storm) and this is my first post on the forums.  I read around a lot and found pieces of this problem but no definitive answer (which I understand).  So, I know it's a delicate subject, but really hope that someone can help you.

FYI, I use Windows Vista and Outlook 2003 with the connector Outlook synchronize my e-mail, contacts and calendar on my Windows Live Hotmail account.

I installed the Desktop Manager software V.4.7 and crossed to set up > sync and selected Outlook for Contacts.  The wizard all seems to work OK but then when I press "Finish" I get the error message ' file is does more part of the system data source or the couldnot folder is located.

I partially understand the idea that my Contacts are not in Outlook, they are in my hotmail/live account.  My question is how can I work around this problem and import my contacts to the BlackBerry?  It will not accept an exported .pst file or can it link directly to hotmail?

(On the basis of the advice on the forum), I found is you go into Outlook and adjust the settings of your e-mail account to send incoming emails into "Personal folder" instead of "* @hotmail.co.uk ' then he manages to pass the error message, however, I found no data calendar or contact in my outlook personal folders for BlackBerry to synchronize with a time that I did."

I'll try to do a few requests on a Microsoft forum on the features between Outlook and Hotmail to see if there is an easy way to get my data anywhere in the personal folders so that the BlackBerry it can sync from there.  I'm afraid to lose emails or functionalitly to the Outlook Connector on my PC to subsequently change the default e-mail folder.

Sorry for the length of the message but thought the more detail the better - thanks in advance for any help you can offer,

    Al.

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I got a work around (not a solution, but it works).  In Outlook, go to Contacts - export to file and select: separation by comma (Windows). CSV file - save it to your PC.

Then open a Yahoo mail account (if you have not already one) go to Classic view, Contacts and to the right of the screen, there is an option to import/export.  Select the location of the CSV file you saved on your PC and transfer it on Yahoo.

You can now go through the DM Assistant and select sync with Yahoo.  It is ideal to add contacts to the phone for the first time.  Don't forget to make sure that everything is up-to-date and complete in Outlook Contacts before export to the CSV file.

If you want to add contacts to the future, the best way is to add to Outlook first and then go through the process of exporting the CSV file again - this will ensure that all records are the same.  Although if you wanted too, you can also export from BB in Yahoo, then in Outlook as Yahoo also exported contacts to a CSV file.

    Hope that helps someone...

    Al.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up synchronization with Outlook

I just installed the latest BB Desktop Manager (4.7.0.32) but I can not configure it to synchronize with Outlook 2003. When I configure synchronization options (for example, calendar), I can select, select MS Outlook, select 2-way synchronization, select (the only user profile: Outlook), get the window "Congratulated and finally a message that translates by (in Dutch):"Cannot find the file of the table system".» And then, he returned to the window selection for apps (calendar-block-notes, etc.).

I have the BB 8300 Curve, BB 4.5 software (on handheld)

I found this solution that also works for DM 4.7:

    Cause

The error occurred after the release of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 to version 4.3. The upgrade could not remove the connectors folder in C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors. Thus, old office applications of Microsoft Outlook are saved with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3.

    Resolution

If the connectors folder is always present in C\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector, follow these steps:

Unregister the old ilxolkCompanion.fil of Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. open the prompt (run-> cmd.exe).
    2. navigate to C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    3 type the command regsvr32 u ilxolkCompanion.fil.
    4. in the Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook is no longer appears as an available desktop application.
Save the latest Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. navigate to C:\Program search Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    2. Enter the command regsvr32 msoutlookconnector.fil.
    3. in the Office Manager, Microsoft Outlook will now registered as an available desktop application.

Once these steps have been completed, configure synchronization again.

    Hello

See if the causes/remedies in this KB will apply:

    • KB02362 Microsoft Outlook is not available as a translator when the synchronization options are configured on the BlackBerry Desktop Manager

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones help BB Storm will synchronize only one way

When I enter an appointment in my calendar from device, and then try Outlook 2003 calendar SYC, it will not be synchronized (appointments appear in my Outlook calendar).  If I enter my Outlook calendar appointment it will synchronize the appointments on my device.  I have entered in the configuration of the Fund Manager and assign the two-way synchronization. Still no luck.

I found the problem.  When you create a new appointment, there is an article that says "send help:" this is a list of all email addresses you receive from emails on your Blackberry.  In some ways, the email address was changed to another.  This has caused the problem of synchronization.  Once I changed it to one that was already there, the two way sync worked.

I still don't know where you configure what email address it uses.  If someone knows let me know.  Or email to three addresses are emails that I synchronize in Outlook.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones calendar events

The only issue I'm having is with my calendar of events. Those that I've marked as 'all day' in iCal find strange on the bb. They are not marked all day on the bb. They run from 05:00 until 23:59... Any idea whats up with that?

I used to have this problem with the synchronization of previous programs. If all data is mirrored on both sides before doing synchronization, click on advanced settings (with calendar) and then select "replace all the events calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone. That should fix things for you! Subsequent synchronizations should work as expected.

  • Error 0x80040fb3 wiped blackBerry Smartphones calendar

    Hi all

I just had all my calendar items in Outlook dashed after a sync with my Blackberry 9530. It is the second time in the last 2 months that it happened. I received an Intellisync 0x80040fb3 error code.

Calendar items are still on my BBY, but I can't seem to synchronize in Outlook. I have changed the direction of the synchronization in Intellisync for two-way synchronization of one-way synchronization from the device to Outlook and it still does not work. One weird thing is the following: Intellisync, I the date range of the calendar is set to transfer the elements that fall between 180 days before today and 7000 days after today. Dates in my vision of the oldest 180 days are still there. I don't want to get all of these calendar by hand once again, as I did about 2 months ago.

Hate to say it, but with errors 0 x 800, it leads to a problem with the unit. We look at the calendar is corrupt. Normally to take care of this error a few things should be done. You can try advanced logging, but I really needed to guide you through how to read the newspaper. Perhaps what has happened is an update has taken place, and you're probably with Verizon. Well during the update that it corrupted the database calendar and when synchronize you it corrupted the Outlook database.
    First step, newspaper KB01451 advnace

Second step is to backup to KB23680

third, you need to do a wipe of security KB14058

    Fourth synchronization with Outlook

Fifth would be a selective restore at all, but the Calendar database.

  • Disappear over blackBerry Smartphones calendar items in 60 days

I have a Curve 8330 running OS 4.5.0.186. I sync with Outlook 2007. In the synchronization options, I check "all synchronization events" or something like that. I have 3 calendars on my computer mapped to sync the BB, my personal calendar and 2 archived calendars. During the synchronization process, he sees all the events of 2000 + on my desk and doesn't give me an error message. But after I unplug and check my BB, only the last 60 days of events are there (plus all future events).

I tried to do a one-way synchronization from office to BB and it works. But then the next time I have sync, all old events disappear without telling me. They have simply disappeared.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello noahhadas,

Looks like your BlackBerry calendar is not defined to keep old appointments forever.

Open your calendar on your BlackBerry. Press the Menu key and go to Options. Under the general Options, scroll to the bottom under Actions and see what is by appointment to keep . If it does not say "Forever", you will have to change to reflect this title (since you have the elements of transfer to the application in the configuration of the synchronization)

KB19492 talk more about this in the BlackBerry Technical Solution Center.

  • Problem of sync/default blackBerry Smartphones calendar

    Hi all

I've searched the forums and although some things are similar, they do not resolve this problem. (btw on 4.7.0.78 latest software, office software v 4.7)

My software synchronizes my storm very well, with outlook 2007. Contacts, calendar, notes, etc. tasts, all go forth, very well. The settings are configured for two-way synchronization with a notification about the conflicts.

However, I noticed that on my BB calendar entries are not making it in my outlook calendar. Invesitgation shows that he is (maybe) because calendar entries I added go to one of 4 Calenders I on the storm. First of all, I was unaware that I had more than one... but it seems I do... that are...

    1. the default device

    2 email1

    3, Email2

    4 Facebook

I did not ask that it creates 2-4, it's just... did! in any case...

All entries that come up during the storm of Outlook are listed under the device default calendar. If I try to add a new entry on the storm, I have only the option at the top to ' send for help: "and then the last 3 calendars. It does not list the first one, peripheral by default, which is all I want anyway.

Then I tried to change an old entry to move it from one calendar to the other and you can not do this - it is greyed out.

So, I tried to select (view) just the device default calendar, using menu > select Calendar > default device. It works because it displays the device default calendar, but even in this case, if you try and add a new calendar entry there still gives you other options of three calendar - add you one, and then when registering, it seems not have entered, because you look at only the device default calendar! In the back he actually saved it in the timing of course.

    Then...

I don't like how I do - I am very happy to remove the 3 calendars I does not use and didn't really feel like there anyway... but I can't work on how do! Or, I want to be able to add a calendar entry to the calendar device fault on my BB... but it doesn't seem to let me do!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Huge.

    Hi guys.

Ok. I discovered how to do this. Basically, Vodafone (carrier) sends two service for each email account CICAL and CMIME books. CMIME is based on messaging and CICAL is based on the calendar wireless. So she instantly sets up a new calendar. As to why he removed the default device as the default device, I don't know. But, if you go to settings > advanced > Service books and remove the CICAL associated email accounts it default to the standard calendar and then re-synchronization sorts all calendar entries.

It seems that the Facebook app adds an CICAL service book too, which can not be stopped and just needs deletion. It seems that every time you reload it adds also, which is a huge pain in the anus... but I have not yet studied in the facebook app to see if that can be turned off...

Interestingly, when itdid delete all 3 of my calendar, it always showed one of the email accounts, but it seemed like a ghost image. I then did the last update of the software (which makes the storm throughout MUCH faster btw) and he allowed that now I'm at square one, where I should be.

Unfortunately, if vodafone never send me the service once again books, you must go through this process all over again because it will add new Calenders to your e-mail accounts - no idea if of other carriers to do this.

But there you go. Problem solved.

    Thanks for everyone help anyway!
