BlackBerry smartphones cannot download applications.

BBrs Hello!

I'm having trouble downloading the applications for a specific handset.

Carrier: Orange UK

Model: 9700

OS: 5.0.0.586

App World: 2.0.0.36

BES

I went through the same exact process, with another identical handset, on the same plane, set up identically and it worked perfectly.

When you select the button 'Download' for an App World app, I'm prompted to enter my ID BlackBerry, once I entered the a dialog box pops up saying "Authenticating...". ', very quickly, another dialog box appears with the following error message:

BlackBerry App World is having problems connecting to the BlackBerry App World Server. Check your network connections, and then try again.

I checked the credentials work by logging into the web-based application. Also, I tried to use an other blackberry ID on the phone to see if that was the problem.

Things I've tried so far:

Updates to the book of service with Soft Resets

Wiping the phone and reinstalling with the latest updates for the applications from the OS and core

Remove and then reinstall App World

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a resolution?

Thanks in advance!

James

  • BBM blackBerry Smartphones cannot download because of BBID contacts

    Hi all

I don't know why I can't get my BBM contacts. I have a new 9900. I tried to use the same back file as always, but it won't work.

He says "you can't use this backup file because BBM is already associated with your blackberry ID $% #% $^ #@ $$ #$"

Then I'm invited to the pursuit and my BBM contacts list is nothing. I have 180 contacts. But none can be put. I created new BB ID had no chance. The contacts are on my mac just sitting there.

I need contacts, and if I can't get him, I don't see the usefulness of the blackberry, even though I have about 8 years. Over the years, my contacts came from all over the world. To lose everything and start again makes no sense. And I guess I won't continue using BBM surveys and the rest can follow.

    Really disappointed

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot download Final fantasy

    Hello!

Blackberry user for years and this is my first post on the forum!

I want to buy the game for my Final Fantasy lamp, the device is compatible for version 3.0 of the game but I can't download it because it's limited to the USA/CANADA and I am based in the United Kingdom.

Is there another way I can get it? I found it on another site, but I prefer to use app world.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

If is limited to AppWorld, then there is nothing that can overcome that. If it is available elsewhere, then it is your only source to get it as long as the AppWorld restriction remains in place.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP! -Application error 606

I'm relatively new to the whole community of smartphone, and I fear I actually broke my Blackberry!

I noticed that e softwareupdated was available for my Blackberry, so I chose to download it. The problem is my phone kept freezing in the process, and I was getting a little impatient. Finally, my phone told me that there was not enough memory, so I should delete some applications to make room. So I selected a few to remove, and my phone froze AGAIN. Now, if at all, it has frozen or not, I'm not sure... Maybe I'm too impatient for the life of a smartphone.

In any case, I decided to take out the battery to reset the phone, I have grown really tired and has to work in the morning, I so wanted to just turn my phone and turn it on again, put my wake up and go to sleep. As I just re - turn the phone on, it starts to load up as it usually does, then a screen appears:

    "Blackberry 5.0.0.496 platform.

Then it lists a whole bunch of items in the phone, in alphabetical order, the first being "Addressbook."

Then, in seconds, the screen goes all white and a small message will appear "Error App 606" and it gives me the only option of resetting my phone. I click on reset, and it's a cycle... The phone seems to be loading as it normally would, and then he'll come back to this screen of the Blackberry platform, then the App error 606.

I ring my network provider in the morning to see if they can help me, but I was wondering if anyone of you here would know about this at all? I feel so stupid for the cause!

    Hi xxjadey_babyxx

If your device is not detected so you had to force the detection of your device by using the Application Loader. But remember in this process you will lose all data on your device, I hope you have your backup device, follow this Knowledge Base to recover your device:

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) books of forwarding Service

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot add a language to my device

    Hello

I am trying to add the French language on my camera and to remove Russian and Arabic which are implemented in it.

In the desktop software, I can't find any specification to do this. When I press 'Applications' - there is no alternative than matks the possibility to add or remove languages.

    Can you help me?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please start here:

    • KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones
    • KB13067 How to get language for BlackBerry smartphones packs

In general, it is the package BB OS exact that you install (via your PC) to your BB, and further, then by selecting the languages that you want to appear on the BB. Is what I recommend, on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

    (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML (there will be at least one, maybe 2)

    (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    Do not forget to save.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • 9380 blackBerry smartphones cannot start the App World after the operating system upgrade + card

    Hello

my camera 9380 worked perfect when I bought it.

    So I drove back and re-installed 7.0->

    (1) maps: "error at startup net_rim_bb_maps: class 'net.rim.device.api.lbs.maps.ui.ManeuverFiled' not found.

    (2) BB App World must be closed

    any help?

    THX

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm sorry, but the errors you posted seem somewhat independent... so I need clarification please:

    Gbassi wrote:

Then I upgraded OS to v7.0.0.513 to 7.1.0.366-> BBM did not work

Unfortunately, "did not work" is not really diagnosable. What, exactly, have you tried? What, exactly, happened every step of what you tried?

    Gbassi wrote:

    So I drove back and re-installed 7.0->

    (1) maps: "error at startup net_rim_bb_maps: class 'net.rim.device.api.lbs.maps.ui.ManeuverFiled' not found.

    (2) BB App World must be closed

I do not see how these two errors are related to the first, you were trying to throw the maps app when it appeared? For the second, which came with the maps app? Or is separate #2 and lies somewhere in the process by using your AppWorld? Complete step by step of what you try, with a full explanation of what is happening at each stage, including the full text of all error messages, is essential to understand your situation and if all goes well to guide. Otherwise, we have to guess...

So I guess. My guess is that, once you upgrade to 7.1, you don't have to perform a few extra steps to ensure that all services were properly enabled on your BB. Here are the steps. I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! You can try these few points in your process... either now (on 7.0.0.513) or after you re - try to upgrade to 7.1.0.366.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blocked Facebook application

"This application have been blocked by your administrator of business system. Contact your system administrator for more information."

Hello and welcome to the community!

If your BB is still enabled on your business system, you must talk to your BES admins... they apply this block through BES IT policy.

If you want to say that you are separate from your company and no longer use their services, then their BES admins does not correctly clean your device when they gave it to you. In this case, you need this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

You must of course a full backup first, the instructions for which you can find in my auto-sig on this post. But when you restore, make sure you DON'T make a full restore... just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.), especially avoiding any database that have nothing to with politics COMPUTER, company, etc.. If you do not restore those, you find yourself right back where you are now, because who will dutifully restore politics to the TI back to your BB.
