BlackBerry Smartphones computer does not recognize my BBPearl

Hello!  My work computer no longer recognizes my BB Pearl when I connect it via USB.  Someone at - it suggestions?  I'm on Windows XP Professional.  I wonder if I should try to uninstall and reinstall the Desktop Manager. ???

Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forums.

If you have a media card connect the BB to the PC and see if you can access your media,

If this isn't the case, you have a bad cable.

If you can, so the Manager of system on the PC and see if there are conflicts.

Let us know,

Thank you

    Barto,

I think that its designed to do this. You should run application separately. That's why I like BlackBerry. Unlike Apple where iTunes takes memory and runs continuously in the background. I have two 8530 s and it of just very portable things for the music and the Picts.

Unless I'm missing something, but I hope that the RIM BlackBerry, continues to keep it this way.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones PC does not recognize SD Media card

    Newbie to BB.

I have the BB Desktop installed on my laptop at home. I want to transfer songs from my PC to work (which is much better) to my BB 8330. When I connect the BB to the PC, the 'new hardware found' icon in the system tray, and the 'disconnect the mass storage device' icon as well. However, when I open Windows Explorer or my computer and click on "removable storage device Drvie E" a dialog box appears and says "Please insert a disk into drive E".

No idea why it does not work. I moved that these same files of music from the PC to my old LG and the PC has recognized this device/SD card very well.

I tried this while having on/activated and turned off/disabled mass storage options. PC will not always see the map?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

No, the SM didn't need to be installed. However, the USB drivers required to properly read your device must be installed.

You can read more about it here and you can download the drivers or software here

    Hope that helps

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Storm my computer does not recognize my PIN code

My computer does not recognize my Blackberry Storm when it is connected. Recently, I've updated the software on my phone to 4.7. The desktop software was still in 4.3. On Sunday, I connected the phone to my computer, and it was the beginning of my question. I uninstalled the software from my PC. Then I reinstalled the software updated since the BB site. But I still have the same question. I see an icon at the bottom right of my window that says: "Device disconnected", while in the box PIN number it says, 'NONE '. I don't know if the problem is with the USB cable. When it is connected to my phone, the phone is in charging mode.

Any advice on what to do?

Most of the time a simple battery pull will correct this problem.

Try to do a battery pull... Remove the battery with device 'ON' wait 20-30 seconds and replace the battery, wait for the device to restart (reboot may take up to 2 minuets)

Mine will also do what you explain and a battery pull will clear up right ir.

  • Computer does not recognize Toshiba external 500G HDD - HARD drive

Sorry, I use a translator, because all the illiterate

A year and a half used the hard drive, and now the computer does not recognize it, the TV too.
In Device Manager, it is there, but says "initialization error".

    What should do?
    Thanks for the replies

You have partitions software installed on the laptop you?
I guess that the HARD disk does not appear in windows Explorer, but common partition as the partition Wizard tool might be able to recognize the HARD drive.
You can try to format the HARD disk and to create the new NTFS partition.

    Another solution:
Usually, you can initialize the disk by DiskManagement.

In disk management, right-click the disk you want to initialize and then click on initialize disk.
In the dialog box initialize the disk, select the disk to initialize.
You can choose to use the master boot record (MBR) or the style of partition GUID partition table (GPT).

Once a disk is initialized, you can create partitions on it.
After you create a partition, you can format the partition to create a filesystem (NTFS).

  • My Windows Media Center XP computer does not recognize my Nikon Super Cool Scan 5000 ED

  • Computer does not recognize LaCie external hard drive when it is connected.

Should I just a 'driver' of the manufacturer so that windows recognize? Help, please.

The device is a hard drive (250 gb) bought in 2006.   LaCie support has provided relevant solutions.

I disconnected the USB line, reconnected with the power of the unit it turned on and off while only plugged, unplugged, and made all possible combinations of many times. My computer does not recognize anything.

I can't find it in my computer, and also, the computer does not list the device in the Device Manager utility.

I have disabled the Windows Firewall.

The computer with which the external drive worked and one that currently does not recognize are model computers windows XP (2008).

Thank you very much for your help.

    Thanks for the reply.

In the meantime and after reviewing all similar positions, it turns out that find the 'live' usb device does the trick.

So, other people with similar problems, try the usb cables at the back of the computer (all), then by restarting the connection there.

    It worked for me.

    Thanks again for the reply!

  • My computer does not recognize my flash drive at all

In the past I was able to plug my USB key and use it (make changes, and save the information), now when I insert it, nothing happens. The screen displays just the desktop.    The computer does not recognize it.  I tried another drive flash with information on this subject, once again, nothing happened.  I need help how to fix this problem.  Thank you.

Sounds like your AutoPlay settings need to be adjusted.

    Something to try...

Insert the flash drive into a USB port and go... Start / my computer...

The flash player should be recognized by a drive letter...

Right-click on the drive letter and go... Properties / AutoPlay tab...
Left click on the button "Restore default settings" / apply / OK.

Now... Remove and re - insert the flash drive and see if there is an improvement.

And... the following Wizard may be worth a try:

You can read the following article and check if it helps.

A computer that is running Windows XP cannot detect a USB, an Apple iPod flash drive or an external hard disk drive

Important: The above link contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly.
