BlackBerry smartphones delete Word to open files

Sorry, another stupid question from a newbie.  I use the Word To Go app on my Storm and I can't figure out how to delete old and unwanted files.  Thank you!

NO stupid questions.

A simple way, on your BB go to the icon Media > Menu > explores. Navigate to the location of the document and not open but highlight it and press Menu > delete.

The microSD is corrupted (8gig) and not readable on Blackberry - using Blackberry Bold 9790.  Copied the files to the Windows laptop using the SD card, but cannot open them.  Majority are photos and videos.  FILE0000. These are files corrupted, made from a checkdisk utility. You can usually convert them to what whatever and I usually just delete them.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones deleted songs are still being displayed?

Just got my BlackBerry Pearl Flip this month and the pretty new to the unit.  I noticed recently that even if my files mp3 has been deleted on my map of media, it is still be listed in my BlackBerry.  So when I try to do a removal of the song since the BlackBerry itself, it gives me just "file system error".  This list of song info should be somehow cached in the memory of the device.  Is - this from there anyway to tell the BlackBerry to completely erase the info and re - index the list of songs?

"cache" is still in memory. With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Look again now.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones download Word files on the BB with device software 4.5

Hello. I just upgraded my HH to 4.5 and our BES to 4.1.6. (Bundle38). I myself have sent an email with a Word attachment to test. When I tried to download the file on my HH, I received this message: "you are about to download a file that cannot be played on your Blackberry device. Continue? "I clicked 'Yes' and it looks like it's uploaded in the documents folder. When I opened the file, nothing here? I missed a step or what? Thank you!

You will not see "dataviz' listed anywhere on your BB... Look at Options > Advanced > Applications and find DocumentsToGo?

If not, reopen the Desktop Manager > Application Loader and find the Advanced button and check DocumentsToGo.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, deleting the files from music permanently

I've loaded about 3 000 songs on my Javelin and trimmed them up to about 1,000 of my absolute favorites. I tried to transfer to my computer in two ways... with Fund Manager and let XP do the work... but deleted music always comes again!

I tried a reset, reboot and everything I can think of doing the deletion of things go away, but it won't. Windows Media Player is on monitor only the new folder I created for Blackberry music, but my smartphone is quite smart to find all the stuff I was history.

My question: how the world can permanently delete you a file? I have checked the settings, but it can't know.

Thanks for any time you take to help out me.

If your music is on a media card, use Windows Explorer to view its contents and to view system and hidden files.

In each case, you will see a file named BBThumbs.dat. It's the indexing file, which contains information about the deleted files still. Just delete all the BBThumbs.dat files.

After unplugging the computer, when you enter the multimedia application, it will start again every 1000 remaining files from indexing. It may take some time but will end after a few minutes.

Thanks for the help in advance

    Charlene

Thanks to everyone for their responses.

It is how I ended up deleting the pdf files. I have connected my BB to my computer, opened upward my Desktop Manager and then clicked on Media Manager, found the files that are located on the map and deleted in this way. Through the program I'm using "RepliGo reader" to read books in pdf format, I am unable to highlight and click on the small folder (envelope)... with the X.

Thanks again to all for your imput!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to download the file Word for Blackberry 9700

How to download word for blackberry 9700?

I launch Desktop Manager-> Media-> Media Manager, but it fails.   But I can't find any icon to transfer files from PC to device Backberry word.

    My Blackberry is 9700, V5.0.0.330 (Platform 5.1.0.91)

A word document is not that a media file would be my first assumption on why it would fail using the Media Manager.

Have you tried attaching the file to an e-mail and send to yourself or the document and connect your device to your PC and drag and drop into document folder in the memory of your device or media?

  • BlackBerry smartphones delete e-mail file

    Hello

I have 2 email accounts set up on my BB - has a general office, the other has a private office.  The general one downloaded more than 500 emails.  I didn't know about the option "delete everything before", so removed the shipment via the Vodafone website.

After finding the option ' delete first of all to "I restored the account so that I could just delete them all - wrong!

When I have a trackball on the account it shows 499 unread emails, but when I go on the account it says 'no message '. If I get new massages I can see/response/delete as usual.

I need to get rid of the 499 new messages.  I know that has been downloaded to BB, but I can't find the folder on the BB where I can remove them.  ANY help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    JBX22

IF you are on a BES account, I wonder if these messages are to be dismissed from the BES?

    I do not know.

But if you removed the unit of BB, they are deleted.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones deletion mystery icon on the home screen

An icon appeared over one that shows the number of e-mails.  It's the #2 and one icon I don't know - maybe a small globe.  I can't get rid of this.  It may have something to do with a search I tried yesterday, was not successful and clicked on save the query.  I called the Blackberry line at T-Mobile, but the representative could not help.

I would like to know what it is and how to get rid of.

    Thank you.
