  I'm trying to update my device BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha OS 10.1 to 10.2. I'm refernce documentation for it. I downloaded Autoload-DevAlphaC - 10.2.0.1157.exe try to update. But the command line stops without updating. Then I tried with loading auto-DevAlphaA_B - 10.2.0.1157.exe. Here he updates without any error in the command line. But the device does not start after that.

  Then, I go down to the previous version of the OS using the load auto-DevAlphaA_B - 10.1.0.1485.exe. Now the unit start with OS 10.1

  Why is this happening?

  I don't think that Dev Alpha (A) could be upgraded to version 10.2. I have tried both official and leaked OS but neither can start the device again. So currently my Dev Alpha holds only still 10.1.1485.

  If you really want to try 10.2, try using Dev Alpha B/C or official Z10/Q10.

  No, it isn't entirely free of BlackBerry10 unit which will be launched on 30 January.

  It is purely a developer alpha hardware and software device... not at all to be confused with the final device.

Now, I want to only those files (MyApp.bar) in a remote server deployment and download the .bar using a file browser and install it to another device BlackBerry Dev Alpha 10. I was able to download but cannot install the .bar file. What should I do?

  In fact This is the kind of method I get. Google Chrome Extention (PlayBook App Manager) did the job perfectly.

  I accidentally placed an emergency call after loading the last 10.3 OS on my Dev Alpha C through the tutorial from gesturest. He asks me to swipe down from the top where the only option is 'emergency call '. I don't see a way to pass the tutorial of gestures to extinguish the GMS. Can someone help me out here?

  Okay, it looks like I had to do a battery pull and then just keep tapping the button 'try '. Finally he moved me to a screen where I could slip into an application and tutorial actions. Huge PITA, but I hope I am the case of edge here.

  Ouch, last night I presented version of my app BB10 - this morning I am updating my Dev Alpha and the app works more... :-(

  It seems that the problem is with some qnx.fuse.ui controls:

  When I create a drop down list I get this error:

  Error: Skin Asset Class with identifier scroll_bar does not exist!
      at qnx.fuse.ui.theme::ThemeBase/getSkinAsset()[E:\hudson\workspace\BB10_0_09-AIR_SDK_API\src\qnxui\src\qnx\fuse\ui\theme\ThemeBase.as:67]
  

  And for the SegmentedControl of it:

  I updated to beta 4 of the SDK and checked that qnx.fuse.ui.skins.QNXSkins is packed.

  My own code is no not no matter what count, I was going to just to use the default value.

  Inspired by a known issue with 64-bit Win mentioned in the release notes for the beta 4 SDK, the DONKEY just removed from the packaging and the path of construction, cleaned the project and added fees (4.6 FB) - and now everything works!

  (Note that my previous SDK installation has been at the same location as new and my path to the donkey was exactly the same as it is now, in C:\Program Files (x 86), so if anyone has weird questions it might just be useful to import donkeys even if files program Program Files (x 86) vs problem described in the release notes does not apply.)

  Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

  I recently encountered a problem on the 8800 and 8300 models, but more generally on all models, this version of the OS is older than the 4.3. Indeed, I noticed that the Wipe of the device functionality is not efficient enough to have your device in a clean state. For example, I have this app that I can't get rid of even after that I did a wipe on my device.

  There is also the /resettofactory command, but as explained in this article (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/documentLink.do?externalID=KB17215), it does not work on peripheral models this version of the OS is less than 4.3. So my question is:

  How to perform a hard reset on the device that the version of the OS is less than 4.3?

  Well well... your original post not mentioned that you had used the WIPE command in JLCmder, you did mention the Resettofactory command. They are not the same.

  I used successfully both JLCmder and JavaLoader wipe devices both less and more than 4.3. I don't know why it does not work for you.

  So... you're saying that even if you clean the machine using JLCmder or JavaLoader, this a rest app?

  I try to use the Alpha of Dev (10.0.10.261) Simulator, 10 BB with VMPlayer 5.0.1 on Windows 7 64 bit.  The Simulator seems to start OK, even if I have to choose (option 2) safe mode when the virtual machine starts because the normal mode always hangs when starting.  The splash screen appears followed by the home screen with the default application icons.  The home screen responds to clicks, but whenever I try to click on an application to launch (settings of the calendar/contacts/etc.), the icons in the home screen slide off the screen to the right and then reappear about 6 seconds later and the application does not start.  The same thing happens if I click on 'Settings' in the options slide down from the top of the screen.  Y at - it something I am doing wrong?

• BlackBerry Q10 Dev Alpha C dead, won't turn on

  Ive got Blackberry DAC, which is just basically Blackberry Q10. I had problems with it for the last two months - it has been restarted at random, mainly while working with it. I was also strangelly indicating the battery life, sometimes that he showed 50% autonomy, restarted and sudeenly I had no power from the battery to the left.

  This morning, it is the charger for the night. This worked OK, but I had to remove the baterry from him. It was without battery for 2 hours. After putting in the battery, nothing happened, since then he died. Absolutely nothing, just a brick.

  I tried removing the battery for 5 minutes, plug it into a computer, load it, or just remove and put the battery on the charger, nothing has worked.

  Please, I need help

• BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha fails to light after only 2 weeks of use

  I worked with the device for a few weeks. About half an hour by adding another token of debugging it lights. Plugged into the charger in the morning and came in the afternoon. Still no light or light screen after now button or by clicking on the button at the top of the unit. Am able to see the unit record system when plugged into PC.

  Another thing to remember (suggested by an admin of this site) is to reset the device by pressing the power button for 15 seconds. In any case, the problem seems to be resolved.
