Toshiba Media Controller Installl failure... (WIN 8)

Hi all

Seems to be the Toshiba Media controller released [here: http://www.toshiba.co.uk/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK]

Is detined to fail by design...

It's 'metro', the problem is that Windows 8 will not allow you to install files appx unless its the store unless you have domain connected machines etc. you also need a development license.

I tried loading side this with powershell, but nothing helps...

Anyone who is or have they just get something out without testing?

Thank you

L

Hello

Yes, you are right, as far as I know that you can not install Apps from metro unless its on Microsoft Store. So in my opinion, this was a bad download.
You should not try to install this application on computer you.

  • BSOD after fresh installation of Win 7, failure of page in the nonpaged area. Win 7 will not install

A day at the start of a program on my computer that I used for years without incident, the computer suddenly fell down, restarted, and I got the infinite loop of system repair. No change in hardware/software, don't know if a recent Windows Update has been installed. Once again, CPU, mobo, Vid, RAM are the same for the past 4 years.

After much frustration, I decided to just reinstall Win 7. So I deleted my partition, re-created a new partition and installed Win 7

In the last step of the process of installing Win 7, it says Setup cannot complete. It is then stuck in a loop of reboot with a BSOD page fault in non paged area.

I tried F8 on startup and choose Safe mode, but then he says that the installer cannot boot mode safe because the installation of Win 7 did not finish.

I tried to reinstall Win7 by removing the disc again, but I get the same results.

    What can I do?

HI - finally got the job. I had the computer to use only the GPU on board BIOS and was able to install. Somehow the graphics driver conflict when Windows is first installed and it kept crashing.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Installation of WIN 10 stuck at 99% of all night

How to solve this?  It's the 5th attempt.  I'm afraid to stop because this could result from downloading and installing again.  Installation failure last time I checked install chose updates in WINDOWS 7, which did not.  When to stop I got the message do not feed delivery - installation of updates.  I finally had to force quit as updates are not installed.   I can not even find the list now to ensure that these are checked is no longer

Always problems I had 85% today but I was working also I minimized inadvertently the page again and then download disappears and does not get completed.   Moderator Gerry C J Cornell suggested I download Windows Media 10 ISO creation tool and make a place in upgrading but don't know how to proceed.  Requires that I use a DVD (and what type?) I find this to be too much for me because I am not computer savvy

Before I try and move forward with this ISO do I need to complete all updates failed in WINDOWS 7 that has failed?   I did a Windows Update hotfix and found and listed errors corrected registration for the Service is missing or corrupt RESOLVED installation issues recent updates FIXED

NO CORRECTION error 0x0800F081F I googled this error and the site found at day-error-0x800f081f https://windowsinstructed.com/fix-windows-mise / in Win 7 where was supposed to solve this Said, it was fixed, but when you click on additional information it shows is not fixed.  What is the origin of the problem? Also what I need to go back and try and do all updates of WIN 7, which dates back to April which failed to install.  This issue of update seems to have been common

If I don't need to do updates so I want to try to use the WIN 10 Upgrade Wizard again - as all these other means seem too difficult for me

MS should try to get this working properly.  Windows needs to extend the deadline for the free upgrade if they cannot even solve all these problems installation.

If the upgrade process sticks or does not respond to 99%, it is better to wait and do nothing for 5 to 6 hours. If there is still no progress to close the Wizard Windows 10 upgrade, restart the computer and try to upgrade following the tips detailed below.

You are using an ethernet cable or wireless to connect your computer to the router? Wired ethernet is faster and more reliable for large downloads. An ethernet cable is a low-cost purchase.

Disable your anti-virus software so that the upgrade.

I suggest you to download the tool for creating Windows Media 10 ISO and make a place in upgrade.

  • "D" created automatically during the installation of Win 7?

    Hello

My wife has a Toshiba laptop, bought refurbished, with Win 7 Home Premium installed.

Windows Explorer shows 2 partitions on the hard drive, "WINDOWS(C:))." "has the OS installed on it and"Data (D :) '. "has the necessary information, when used in conjunction with the recovery CD for system recovery.

My question is:-the 'D:' partition created automatically when installed Win 7 on a blank disk, formatted, hard or when you perform a "clean" installation to upgrade XP. The high '\HDDRecovery Data (d :))' folder on the partition "Data (D :)". ', (can't get 'D:' through Explorer properties) on the laptop my wife watch as being slightly more than 6.5 GB.

If this partition is not created automatically that I can programmatically create it before the installation owner, but if I do, what size does?
If it's better that Win 7 'sees' a single partition, I can easily do that.

This situation "C:", "D:" suits me very well because I currently just on my XP Pro x 64 system drive. A historic agreement dating from when I used a dual-boot put in place. When I spread the secondary boot option I put in place a small drive "D:" so that my 'work' partition, first on my second hard disk (3) has been kept as "E:", several shortcuts pointing to the location. I didn't want to trawl through the system to change things to E: to something else. Guess I'm just a bit lazy!

So, in short, "D:", create or not create?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Tony Norton

D: is normally assigned automatically to your recovery drive or optical drive. The size of the recovery partition is normally determined by the manufacturer of the computer, and it can be based on a number of factors such as the WIM image to reinstall Windows 7 in addition to packaged applications, drivers, and utilities. Sizes may vary from 10 to 20 GB. Some may if distributed on several partitions recovery.
