BlackBerry Smartphones Google maps only half screen now on Storm 2

I recently found my cards are only half of the screen, with keyboard, refusing to go on the other half. Also can not display maps in landscape mode. This has made them much less useful. I don't see enough of the card to be able to guide me. That's happened? I used to have a map full screen. I can't seem to find this topic anywhere and am unable to find any help on my BBy.

Thanks for any help.

Hello

Go to Options > Applications, locate the entry of Google Maps, highlight it and press the BB Menu key.  Find the option to turn off compatibility mode, and you should be set.

Try and let us know if this helps!

    Hello Jiten2409

This isn't for BlackBerry. Download it from BlackBerry World.

    ==============================================

If the user wants to install Google Maps on BlackBerry here and then using browser BlackBerry should go through this link   http://dl.google.com/dl/mobile/maps/BlackBerry-47/GoogleMaps.jad this is a direct download.

    Hello

I guess that you already have a BlackBerry data Plan on your SIM account!

After that download Google maps have restarted your device by removing the battery while it is powered? If this isn't the case, then do it.

In addition, if you are inside your House, then move outside or on an open lawn launch Google Maps. Also in your device, the home screen > Options > device > location settings > make sure that location Services are TURNED ON.

    ==============================================

Instead of an application, Google maps has a mobile version, you might be able to use with the browser.  That's what use users Z10 and Q10.  On my Q10, it works very well with traffic and other features.  https://maps.Google.com

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps on Storm

My Storm is great - my first Blackberry but I have a problem with Google Maps.  First time I tried to use it, he downloaded the app and started the application I think OK.  Since then whenever I try to use Google Maps, he asks me to rInstaller or not, even if he says it's installed akready and whatever I do, it does not run. It may be something to do with the license acceptance screen, I can't highlight the "I agree" or "I do not accept" options. even if it downloads the application again. I reinstalled 4 - 5 times without success, or is there an option to remove the application.  Any ideas?

Mate, I think I kmnow what you do! The "Application Center" is where you install the applications of. Once they are installed, you must look in the 'Applications' for effective enforcement. I made the same mistake initially.

By the way, it's a value controls in the application Centre from time to time (and then by clicking on the icon "Update" on the upper right) as it will tell you if there are updates for the applications may have already downloaded (for example, You Tube has been recently updated...)

    I hope this helps guys...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google maps 3.01 does not

I used the previous version well on my BlackBerry Curve with T-mogile. Updated to the latest 3.0 and version 3.01 and it does not work. During the opening of the program, the progress bar filling up to about 3/4 the application closes and returns to the main screen. Tried to reload and change permissions. Nothing helps.

    Any organization with a solution?

    Thank you

    Hello

    I just downloaded today!

Start the browser, the menu key, options, select the browser cache.

    Clear all categories.

Before installing Google-3.01 try to remove the old app.

The start screen, options, options, advanced applications.

Let the table build. Highlight Google maps, touch menu, delete.

    Reset by battery pull.

    Download Google maps 3.01.

As a matter of course, I always do a battery pull after the installation of an application.

Let us know how it goes!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps no longer works for my Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330. What is the problem with Google?

For the last 11 months, Google Maps and Gmail have worked perfectly with my Blackberry Curve 8330 from Verizon. Tonight, all that has stopped working. I tried to load Google maps and failed. Kept getting the error "network unavailable, blah blah blah." I tried to restart the phone, remove and reinsert the battery, until I finally uninstalled Google Maps. Now when I point my browser (OperaMini) on m.google.com download and reinstall Google Maps, it says "Sorry the Google Maps application does not work on your 8330." It makes NO sense at all. Why Google would suddenly take for my phone? Is there a work around? Before you uninstall, I tried all sorts of tricks with permissions to edition without success.

In addition, Gmail refuses to check email, sometimes say that a data connection. Also, which makes NO sense as I have great reception phone.

My internet (OperaMini) and normal calls and texting capabilities are not affected.

In conclusion: ANY possible to get these Google Apps for reinstall and work on my phone? Or has Google me screwed over? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you
    Hyun

As of about 3-16:00 hour, there was a failure generalized data RIM across the Americas.

That includes BIS for Google Maps and apps and email data. Dead in the water on the BlackBerry.

It will come back, be patient.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps - problem 'failed to connect '.

For the last two weeks, I started getting a "connection failed" problem with Google Maps on my BB Torch 9800.  I tried to pull the battery, reinstall Google Maps, working on a connection wi-fi-etc. but logging into Google Maps still does not work.

The Google Maps app works fine, otherwise.  The only problem is that I'm not able to get my "favorite places" when I log in the application with gmail and my password.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Equals your account password Google or you have changed it in the last few weeks? So if you check under your application's permissions are your Interactions and user data are configured to allow. Restart your device and try again

Finally I founded the way back my Google Map to work.

Simply use the version 3 of Google Map, and you can forget the stupid 'Terms & Conditions' step.

    See you soon

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Maps, questions and issues

So, today is the first time I used my gps on my storm, and my first opportunity to use google maps.

Everything worked fine except a few things that made my trip to find a little difficult doctors Office and the pop up text that tells you which way to turn, Center of the screen about the location and map scroll.

I used google maps in the past on my Moto Q, and if I remember correctly, I would have to press the #3 key to move to the next round.  I checked the Gmaps menu by pressing the BB button and there is no options in there, so I went to the screen by a click.  Sometimes he could work and advance to the next round, other times it should show a picture of the box or do nothing at all.

I'm happy that Gmaps finally works with the storm, but I would suggest to google when the tower was filed, which automatically advances the text box for the next round.

Everyone knows these issues, or has found a workaround?

When you have a path (= a list of points), the application has no way of understanding, you pass by a point. If I rephrase what you want:
"whenever you pass a point, you want an update so that the remaining path does not include the above"
and rephrase so the application can run:
"whenever you pass a point, you want the calculated again way to take into account your position."
Since there is no way of knowing when that happens "all weather", necessarily becomes what you ask for:
"update the path to destination in a frequent manner"

It is of course possible, but very tedious for the device I guess. It is easier for a GPS device that has infinite energy (= powered by car).
