  If you send them a message and there is a Red X, it means that they do not have the Blackberry Service. But if it gives you just a box, i.e. There is no installed BBM, phone off or no signal. And if you receive a check with "D" or "R" which means that the phone has installed on Blackberry and BBM data Plan assets. D means Delivered and R is synonym of reading.

  I bought a used unlocked blackberry, I use it only as a phone right now

  I not have data on it but will be "hanging upwards" to data complete blackberry in a few months when I return a book BB.

  How can I find out if the PIN on this one is locked or free?

  Right now I can still return it to the seller if there is a problem, but in a month if I try to connect it and can't, I'll be out of luck.

  The guy gave me the receipt original and said it was never connected, but I want to be sure.  I tried to contact my provider (Fido), but the guy knew nothing about a PIN code.

  Are you referring to make sure your phone is unlocked? If so, if the phone is a Rogers phone, and you currently have it work on Fido, it is an unlocked phone. Unlocking the phone is required to use the phone on any other carrier.

  Now then, if you want to make sure that the STEM was not put to the index as a stolen phone, thereby ensuring that your BlackBerry data will work later in time, the easiest way would be to contact the original wireless services provider (one that displays on the splash screen when the phone starts first). You can then explain to them that you bought the used device and I want to just make sure that the phone is not stolen and so on the blacklist, at their end. They should be able to find this information quite easily. Note: you will need to probably the device IMEI, which is located behind the battery or you can also get it by going to Options > device > device and state information.

  Try this-

  When your device is turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery. This do a reboot your device that addresses minor issues with the BlackBerry.

  The phone is a Blackberry Storm on Vodafone network in the United Kingdom.

  I have correctly configured my personal e-mail on the phone with a team account and can send and receive emails via my home account.

  However, Im trying to add my work E-mail account and not having much success. We run Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with outlook web which is accessible remotely.

  Our COMPUTER technician made a path through the firewall for Blackberry, but claims to know nothing about Blackberry put up and isn't rushing to help!

  I use the Letter Wizard Setup and selected Web Outlook, then enterered the URL changes, username, password and my email address... I know that these are correct because I use on my Mac Book and iMac to access my e-mail from remote work when im at home.

  However, when I plug the same parameters to the storm, he begins to treat it, think about it for about 20 minutes and custom allow me to do anything else during this time and then eventually comes back with an error indicating that please check information. At the same time, I also get an email from Vodafone Itlay in Italian - which I assume also says check your settings!

  I've been playing with this for a month now and do not seem to be more close to everything!

  I found the trickiest part as the name of box mailbox (step 7 in the document). It must be quite exact, case-sensitive, and everything that requires your OWA config. In my case, when I was looking at him with my OWA companies, I found unable to configure for OWA via the interface of the storm. Only enter the ENCORE of a PC site I was able to configure correctly BIS for OWA.

Last night, ubertwitter randomly decides to tell me "Network Exception trying to communicate with the service Twitter". I never went over the use of the data because of this.

  After that you can restore information from ipd file saved to your new device.

  Blue round globe? Browser or Wap message. It should show in the list of messages, but if not, look at Messages > Menu button > view folders > Browser or Wap messages.

  Open or delete the message to delete the icon.
