BlackBerry smartphones I've ever 3G network on curve 9320

I have my network set to 2G / 3G, but it remains on the EDGE even when 3G network is fully present. What should I do to get 3G turn on?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Talk to your mobile service provider to ensure that your specific device model is fully compatible with their network. There are models of devices and the networks of carriers that are compatible only with certain spectra of the network carriers... but only the carrier can tell you if you are in such a situation.

Good luck and let us know!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Indeed, these IPD files are backups of your BB and are available as a source of food (they are a proprietary format and cannot be used for any other purpose, except by a few 3rd party applications that have been written to analyse). Choose the most recent one (the one with the most recent date and time, as displayed in the File Manager Windows) using this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones, you respond to text Messages on the 9320

Well today, I had my first couple of messages from a couple of buddies of mine, and I'm completely confused here just how to respond to them and how do you know that they have been sent.

The manual for the Blackberry Curve 9320 is totally wrong with the way she described to do, and the usual topics that are on every other mobile, I had like to click on something and hit the word response does not exist on this phone from what I see.

When I read the text of people message there is a bar in which you can type in, and it says press R to answer. I have done this and typed something and as you is gone and you press the Send button. But that brings up a box asking if I want to call the person. So I thought well lets you press back on the Qwerty keyboard. So I did, and I don't know if his Envoy that I can't find anywhere on the phone who tells you your message is sent.

Could someone help here, because they seem to have made many a supermarket changing here with this 9320 in comparison with the 8520.

    Hi intruder 461,

You said we had the problem in responding to text Messages, well I'll try: when someone sends you a Message and when you open it you will see a bar below, if you want to reply to this message just type in this Bar and press the button Menu (icon blackberry) how has your trackpad moved top down you can see the send option Just click, or in short, after writing just press the Enter key to send the message.

And if you are composing a new text message, click the message text icon click the Menu key and with your trackpad click Composer. the text Message then the Message screen at the top where it is written as. (Here you have enter the name or the Contact to whom you want to send the message) Then write your message in the bar and send it as above mentioned.

To confirm the message has been sent or not, click on the text message icon on your home screen, then you can see all the names or the contacts of all messages that you have received or sent, to confirm the press on all contact that you send message and if its been sent then it will be marked as the right top.

I hope you understand. Enjoy and take care

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do the mobile network in the program?

I searched the Forum but do not have the answer.

Currently, I have 2 mobile for my blackberry 8700 networks say they are A and b.

Has EDGE and GPRS has B.

When I reboot BB, most of the time he will select B automatically maybe for some reason any.

It is tedious to manually switch to the A.

Is there a way to automatically detect the mobile network if there are A and B then choose?

Or just simplely choose one no matter if there are B availible?

I look in the java doc, but it seems there's only Radio and RadioInfo classes related to this issue and none of them can handle this.

    Thank you.

There is no BlackBerry API that would allow you to do this.  I'm moving this to the general BlackBerry Pocket forum for other suggestions of configuration possible.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones GPS on any area network?

Hi, I m new with BB but I want to know something, can I use the GPS function or the WiFi features on a place that has no cell phone network signal /... for example, if a trip to another country with no active roaming?

    Thanks in advance.

GPS on blackberry requires NO wifi or data.  BlackBerry maps, google maps and most current main GPS apps for blackberry require data or wifi, but it's a limitartion of these software applications, not blackberry devices.  There are other FREE applications that DO NOT require any data plan.  Nor do even need wifi connectivity.

Google search for 'Mobile GMAPS' download the free app on your Blackberry.  It can be used completely with just your phone internal GPS and mapping files that have been downloaded to your SD card.  Or, if you want, you can use the wifi instead of data, but there is absolutely no need for any connection other than via the internal GPS device once you have maps on your SD card.  Mobile GMaps is not nearly as feature packed as GPS applications more mainstream for blackberry that currently require data plans, but hey, it's a free app and you will save data charges.

Once you have installed Mobile GMAPS on your phone, you will need to use your PC and go to www (dot) mapcacher (dot) com and create a mapping file using google, yahoo or live maps.  Just select the area of the map you want, select zoom levels 1-16, choose the amount of detail and then click on the button to begin to build your mapping file.  The file will be created in a few seconds.

You must then import this map file into an application like v0.7.2.2 gmapmaker mgmaps (dot) com/www cache (point) and install it on your pc as well. Import the mapping file into this tool and your map will be created.  There are a few different tools that can do the same thing - you can learn more about the different ones on Mobile GMAPS forums or better yet the site Crackberry - this is where I originally found the tutorial for this process.

Get the built cards is not difficult, but it may take some time depending on your broadband ISP, the size of a map that you create and the amount of detail that you put on it (zoom levels add more information and you can choose anywhere between 1-17).  Then there is also the matter of getting the map to your sd card file once it is built because there will be a lot of small image files and folders Windows PC may not like if the structure of the file is too big.

I recommend trying a few small test cards (like just your city) so you see how it works, try the different zoom levels and details.  After a few tries, you'll know how to create the perfect cards and the best files of sizes to easily copy maps on your SD card.

It is not the best tool, but it is available and it is free and can be used anywhere and anytime - as long as your GPS can find the satellites.  I imagine that there will be much progress in other programs that do the same thing, because the free service is the way to go!  I hope that the major GPS manufacturers take note and join the herd by creating SD maps for blackberry devices too (windows mobile and symbian phones have this option) or they'll be next to lose a lot of money.  Why would anyone want to use their data plan to use the GPS when it should work on its own?

The answer THEY will tell you is because it allows you to get the latest maps all the time, it's a limitation of phone blackberry that data is required.  This is total Bull * if.  The cards are always changing, but not enough to justify the cost of data each month.  Their is a lot of software SD card capable apps out there (TomTom, Garmin, Navigon, etc.), but they only work on Windows Mobile and Symbian, and because Blackberry push data, the SD versions have not been built yet.  At least with this tool, you know it is possible and can stop believing the hype of data plan.  In addition, if you want new cards, you can go out and download a new one whenever you want and copy it in your SD car.

Enjoy your free, anytime, anywhere, GPS and pass on the good news to other friends of blackberry.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones smooth BIS transfer between networks/carriers (Sprint to T-Mobile)

I have currently my 3rd device type (5th overall), a WE 8830 with Sprint PCS.  I love the unit but I hate Sprint.  My contract is up and my 8830 went permanently it is first a little over 2 years, this is my chance to upgrade!

I found what I want with T-Mobile, but it will be the second time I changed networks in 6 years and I'm afraid of what happened last time happen again.  When I changed from Nextel to Sprint (7100i to 8830) I had problems with the BIS don't and WHEEL operation actually freeze the account when we attempted to emigrate.  How can I avoid this when I change to the new 8900, I am about to order?  I know how Sprint Nextel treated my question in the first place (by putting me on hold for 30-45 minutes whenever I called for almost a week), is there a way I can avoid this and see little or no interruption of service?

    Thank you!

    1. There will be a transfer of BIS accounts. You will get a new one with TMo. New device, new account, etc. When your BlackBerry data Plan has been activated, just connect and set up your e-mail on BIS accounts.

    2. all carriers have their good and bad days. I stayed with TMo waiting 30-45 minutes, too. Join the crowd

Good luck, you will enjoy the many 8900, good camera!

    Hello

Please bear with me, I need help to set up the service message on my phone, I get the message that there is no message services configured then I am redirected to establishing assistant who shows a PIN and no active account, then ask my email and password activication, where can I find it? I use Vodafone with EA Mobile 4 G Wifi,

Hello and welcome to the community

You must enter any of the configuration section 'Enterprise '. Rather use the BB exclusive services (including the ability to Push email, BBM, etc), you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) host for their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have an email Push-enabled compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), your exclusive services BB will work (for example, you will have a staff/Internet Email added to the email Setup Wizard, your BBM will work, etc.).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans it is impossible to say that any plan service could actually expressly provide for. Only carriers can answer this question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you want and then talk to your carrier about obtaining a data plan that allows what you want (to them).

    Good luck!

  • OKAY blackBerry smartphones. I GOT IT WITH MY CURVE!

    Dear help BB,

    I use a bb curve 8520.

I have only 4 3rd party applications on my phone: ebuddy, whatsapp, documents on the go and a theme. and my available memory on the app world is 6 MB-_ - I used to have applications more and more free memory, so now I wonder, where everything happened? I have a memory card for my multimedia files, so no discussion. I deleted all my messages, phone call logs and all the browser history and my free memory is ALWAYS 6 MB. I also deleted the games I do not play and standard applications that I won't use. My phone crashes ALL THE TIME, even in case of need (I can't count on it more:------), sometimes I get a message when my phone asks me to delete applications to free up memory. I've already deleted everything I could. According to my state options my free file is equal to: 6129418 bytes. I did a traction battery several times, no change in the memory. I installed a memory cleaner sort through security options, I ran and Yes still 6 MB. Oh no, wait, just checked again, now it's 5 MB. WHERE ALL MY INTERNAL MEMORY IS GONE TOO?

It seems that you have 15 MB of media stored in the content store. Read this list for a bit more info:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB03974

You must go to your media files and make sure that you save everything on the card. If you use your camera where the photos are stored?

You can go in the Media folder, press the menu button, then select "explore." You can then browse the contents of the embedded memory and memory card support. Move these large files on the press card.
