BlackBerry Smartphones incapable of putting up account BIS for Torch 9800

Hello

I recently bought an opportunity BB9800 of E bay.

Everything on the phone seems to work OK except for the messaging service.

When I try to configure my e-mail Yahoo account that I don't get directed to the Setup Wizard for email, instead of this, I get a page asking you my username (email?) and the password. Although I "spent" my email account to the phone, enter my e-mail username and password get a response "invalid."

I tried to set up an account, to try to resolve the problem of e-mail, in vain.  When I enter the PIN, etc. for the phone, I get a message saying that I can't create an account because there is already for the device.

Can anyone suggest a way to solve this problem?

From your description of the situation, this device is still registered a BIS account. The only recourse is to have the previous owner remove unit from the BIS, or close the BIS account. Practically speaking, you should get your money as soon as the solution is probably not feasible.

    First off, I want to say thanks to anyone who takes the time to even post a reply. I'm new to blackberry, well I've had my blackberry for a little over a month now. The problem is that when I open google to search for something sometimes my results are like black or like this->______with a few pieces of the resuklts appear. Even when I click on a results page will appear with some information but then half blacnk. This is the second time that this has happened the first time it happened wasacouple weeks and it was fixed once I turnedit off then turn it back on. Ive fact that now, but there is still no positive result. Please help me!

    Hello.  I've worked for a company and access enterprise server needed to receive e-mails from company on my Curve 9330.  When I need is more capability, I called my provider, Sprint and cancelled my plan Enterprise Server and was able to set up a personal email account.  I need to recharge the phone to the default values and now when I go in the installation program to configure a personal e-mail account I only get the option.  When I select the email icon I automatically join in a sign 'no active account' and wonder of my enterprice account activity by providing an email and a password.  I don't have these and my personal e-mail id and password do not work.  I looked through the forums and follow the suggestion which has not solved the problem.  I also called Sprint and confirmed I have more company on my account/plan, in addition to checking with my local cable/internet provider that they do not cause the issue.  I rebooted the device 3 times today and have not made any progress.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for official support... but, this time, not only ensure that BES is deleted, but the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is active, this is necessary in order to have personal email accounts on your BB device (as well as many other owners of BB services).

    You need to talk to your operator so that not only the account of the BIS are removed, but also that they remove completely the existence of the @bb e-mail account.

    Configuration of curve of my father, I put in place since two e-mail accounts after you have created a user name for the account of his BlackBerry. I didn't enter the login / pw for both accounts (1 work, 1 Gmail) and they both came back successfully Setup. He receives e-mail messages only for a Gmail good (now). When I go into work account settings it is said that the message service is the Gmail account, instead of the work account, and when I go to work done say work Gmail message service option too so do not give me more receive gmail.     I would try to remove the troubled Server e-mail account bis.  Go to the site I posted before.  Restart the device and restore the account.  See if it works.

    I was going to change the setting for one of my accounts on my Torch. I tried the installation application to do this and when I try to open the section that says "manage email accounts" I received a message that I needed to update this software... .so I admitted it and in the download process, asked me if I wanted to replace the old version with the new... I admitted it. The download process could not be completed... whose know why! ?? And now I can't access the emails or adding new accounts management application because the application has disappeared! It has been deleted in the process!

    Help! How can I fix!   :-(

    Do not worry, I'll have you to spot and exploit again at any time.

    Connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  (If you have not installed, go to www.blackberry.com and look up under Apps & Software).  Open Desktop Software and do a data backup.  Once the backup is complete, click on the device in the upper part of the BDS and update the menu drop down.  If you already have a backup of the data on your phone, choose device and then restore instead of the device and then update.

    If you chose the Update menu: you can say that your phone is already up to date.  If so, look for and click on see the other Versions.  When it opens, make sure that your current version is checked and click on update.  This will restore your Setup email on your phone application icon.

    If you have chosen the recovery menu: there will be a list of backups that you have made on your phone.  Choose the most recent (top).  Once activated, click on restore and your email application icon will be set up once more.
