  So I want to password protect my bberry. When I try to lock the camera using the menu button, everything works fine. If I press the lock (on the top of the unit) button or the "*" key when I try to unlock the phone it does NOT ask for a password. Clues?

  What you're saying, is that the top button is just for the keyboard/screen lock, but not password lock? And since it is not a key to convenienve it cannot be configured to do otherwise?

  So I can just do the convenience key (right rear) password lock keyboard/screen? I think it is the only solution. You have another idea?

  Check under Options | Language. Make sure that your input language is set to English (United States).

  If it is try to reset the unit. Remove the battery for a minute and leave the device restarts.

  If you are looking for AppWorld, you will find an application called TalkLock, which locks the screen while you are in a call.  It will set you back a few bones, but it might be interesting the price if dangling the phone a bit turns out to be a chore.

  2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
